His Fear: Rushed to the hospital.

His Fear: Rushed to the hospital.
Nathan asked, then panic finally settled in, he carried Jesse and rushed out of the office, his eyes and body trembling in panic.

He didn't care about his workers who looked at him in shock, he didn't care about anything, all he wanted was to take Jesse to the hospital.

He couldn't help but blame himself as he carried the man who was gasping for air with his hand still on his chest. How could he forget about Jesse’s heart disease? How could he forget that Jesse must not be agitated?!

He had yelled and even put fear in his body. He would never forgive himself if anything happened to Jesse.

His trembling hands kept trying to put the key inside the keyhole of his car, and finally, he was able to do it. He pushed Jesse into the car and slid into the driver's seat before driving off.

As he drove, he kept checking on Jesse, but when they were halfway, he suddenly realised that he wasn't breathing. Nathan's body stiffened in shock, his eyes widened as he stepped on the brake.

With eyes that were wide from shock, and fingers that had turned stiff, he turned towards Jesse nervously.

“Jesse..? Je..Jesse! Jesse!!” He roared, then shook Jesse’s body hard.

“No, no! No!!” He whispered, yelled, then he suddenly pushed the car open, rushed toward the other side and immediately put his head in.

He looked at Jesse’s face which had turned white in fear and agony.

He closed his eyes tightly, then put his trembling fingers under the nose of Jesse, waited for a while, and then his body slumped down exhaustedly.

He kept breathing heavily, “Thank goodness…Good you’re alive, good thing you’re alive!” He kept on muttering like he was going crazy, then he stood up and rushed to the other side of the car before he continued driving.

Nathan paced anxiously as his eyes kept drifting towards the patient room where Jesse was being treated.

This hospital was his and Jesse had been getting solid treatment here. He trusted his people and knew they would take care of his man.

As he waited, his mind kept praying for him to be okay.

Though he was angry, and pained, it wasn't to the extent of losing his love for Jesse. This was the man who had saved him from death two times, a man who had risked his life to save him.

Jesse wasn't just his lover, he was also his benefactor.

After waiting for a while, the door of the room opened and Jesse's attending doctor came out. Nathan rushed towards him.

“How is he?!” He asked anxiously.

The doctor who wasn't new to their boss acting this way was calm, “He’s fine, boss! But,” He announced and seeing the man heave a sigh of relief, he continued, “He mustn't be agitated again. He’s too fragile for this boss. Don't argue with him, please. Try to give in to him.” The doctor said and seeing Nathan nod, he smiled brightly.

“You can go in, Sir.” He said then walked away.

Nathan rushed inside the room and saw that Jesse was now awake. He heaved a sigh of relief, but his heart tensed up again seeing that he was about to cry.

“Hey! Don't cry, okay? Don't cry.” He cajoles gently.

But Jesse kept crying pitifully, “I’m sorry, Nath. Please, believe me, I didn't mean to lose the ring, I didn't mean to…” He cried painfully as he buried his head in Nathan’s chest.

Nathan held him tight and kissed his forehead, “How could an object be more important than you are? Shiii…Don't cry, okay?” He patted his back.

Jesse cried harder, but what Nathan didn't see was the smug smile in the eyes of his lover.

“I don't want to stay in the hospital, Nath. I want to go home. You know I hate the smell of hospitals” He suddenly said with a sniffle.

Though Nathan wasn't on good terms with the suggestion, he decided to listen to Jesse as he didn't want to agitate him again.

“Okay. Just rest for a bit.”

Evans, who was unaware of what was going on on the other side of the town, bade goodbye to his two friends and prepared to go to the clinic where he worked. He hadn't been going to work for the past few weeks and his boss had just called him to come over as he needed him.

Suddenly, his way was blocked by a car which surprised Evans. He at first thought it was just a coincidence and prepared to go the other way but a familiar face suddenly popped out of the car.

“Young master Evans!”

Evans paused, then turned and was shocked to see the secretary of his father.

He looked around to see if any of his schoolmates were around and he was glad no one was paying attention to him. He walked towards the secretary in confusion

“What are you doing here?!” He asked as he came closer.

The man walked out of the car, “The boss asked us to escort you home.” He said, then held the car door.

Evans's brows furrowed, “Why?”

“The Eldest Young Master is back and a family dinner is arranged to welcome him.”

Evans’ heart paused, then he suddenly smiled mockingly.

“Why don't they throw him a big party?” He asked sarcastically, then ignoring the frown on the man’s face, he continued, “He left home without a word, never called home or left a note, but you arranged a dinner immediately he comes back and expects me to attend?!” He scoffed.

“I’m not going! Go back and tell them that. Besides,” He paused, turned around to leave, "Don't come over to my college next time. You came over flashily as if announcing the family wealth. The family isn't even that wealthy..”He shook his head and continued walking.

He suddenly heard a cold voice behind him.

“The master had expected that. Guys! Bring the young master into the car! And if he doesn't cooperate, carry him!”

Evans froze. Then he saw two men come out from the backseat of the car. His eyes widened.

“Are you guys crazy?! Hey, let me go!”
