Chapter 98 Chapter 98

Chapter 98 Chapter 98
Celine's POV:

After I was done checking the kitchen of my restaurant and seeing how the meals were being processed and made available for the customers, I moved out of the kitchen and went back to the first floor to join the waiters in taking the customers' food orders, as there were many customers present and my staff weren't many to attend to them all.

Aside from Becky William, I had up to five waiters working for me, so I went to take the customers' orders.

"Hey, Madam Ann! I haven't been served yet!" a male customer called to my attention, and I hurried to take his request.

"Mind employing me? I can be a good waiter for your restaurant," a young man said to me just as I approached his table to take his order.

"I do not employ men," I replied to him with a warm smile. He wore a blue top and black jeans, and he smiled.

"I wouldn't charge you that much," the young man, who seemed to be in his early twenties, said.

"Alright, I will keep that in mind and think about it. What would you like to have this morning?" I asked him as I came to his table. He sat alone and smiled. "Rice and stew is enough for me."

"Any drink?" I asked him, but he shook his head and replied, "No. A bottle of water is enough."

"Alright. The bill is 5000 for a plate of rice and stew and a bottle of water. I will get it ASAP," I said to the man, and he smiled.

"Alright."

I quickly moved away from his table and went to meet the young lady named Olivia Kenneth. She was in charge of serving the meals, and the waitresses dispatched it all to the tables of the patrons in need.

"Come on, Olivia. I have taken six orders, and we have a lot of customers this morning. I think we will need to do more hiring of new staff," I said to Olivia with a smile, as she was 24 years old.

"Okay, Madam. I will inform the agent to get the new staff employed. How many do you need?" Olivia asked, and I smiled.

"I am still processing it. While some customers come here to your counter to request their meals, some others sit and wait majestically for our service. So hurry up," I said, while Olivia smiled and served the meals. The meals were on display behind a show glass that displayed the white rice, intercontinental rice, fried rice, and also other delicious soups and meals that were made available for the customers.

Olivia set up the orders, and I went to attend to the customers, serving the meals on their tables.

Surprisingly, as I turned to look at Edwin's table, where he sat with his son, I saw that he hadn't started eating yet, and he was discussing with a man who was dressed impeccably in a black suit.

"Oh my! Many customers are still arriving. Did I run a free advert last week? How come I have so many customers today?" I gasped once I was done serving the man in a blue top who was asking to become my new waiter.

"That's why I asked you to employ me. I won't request much. With a restaurant like this, 100,000 monthly isn't bad. What do you say?" He winked at me, but I smiled and looked away.

"I will think about you. Get back to me with your application later," I told him jokingly, and he gasped.

"What? Do restaurant owners still need certificates to employ their waiters? Unbelievable," he said, but I left his table and went to meet Edwin and his son.

"Hi, I see that you and your son haven't eaten yet?" I asked Edwin. I had almost called him by his name, but recalling that he hadn't introduced himself to me, I held my tongue back.

"Oh, yeah. I met a business partner. What will you like to have for lunch, Justin? It's almost noon," Edwin said as he glanced at his wristwatch and observed the time.

"A plate of fried rice and fried chicken is okay, Dad. Do you have a restroom? I am pressed," Justin said, as he appeared tensed, like he had been trying to hold his bladder.

"Yeah. Come with me," I took Justin to the restroom for men, as there were three stalls for the men frequenting my restaurant to use, and also we had three ladies' restrooms too.

"Please, Miss, can you help me with my belt? It's too hard to loosen," Justin said as he struggled to get his belt undone.

"Oh! Okay," I bent beside him and helped him to loosen his belt.

"Thanks, Aunt," the little boy smiled at me before he ran away into the restroom to relieve himself.

I waited for him to be done before he got out looking relieved.

"Thank you, Aunty. I have fixed my belt," he said with a proud smile on his face, and I smiled at him.

"Good boy. Come, let's go back and don't keep your Daddy waiting," I said to the boy, and he smiled.

"Alright."

I walked back with Justin to the lobby for my restaurant, and he went to join his father, while I went to discard my hand gloves and wear a new set of hand gloves.

I went to serve their meals, and Edwin smiled at me as I set his meal before him.

I looked away, ensuring that my black eyeglasses were perfectly seated on the bridge of my nostrils.

"Will you both be needing any drinks?" I asked Edwin and his son.

"No," Edwin replied.

"How about you, handsome?" I asked Justin, and he grinned.

"I am okay with water. I don't drink out to avoid going to the restroom frequently," he replied proudly, and I smiled at him.

"Alright," I went to get them two bottles of water since they didn't want any beverages.

After that, I went to my office to meet Kaleb and to check in on him.

Kaleb was busy surfing the internet on my laptop, and my eyes widened in shock.

"Kaleb, what are you doing with my laptop? Didn't I warn you about the social media page?" I asked him, and he pouted.

"Mom, when are you going to create a baby page for me? My classmate Ella Johnson has a million followers, and I don't have a page yet, and you don't post about me, only your restaurant," Kaleb mumbled, and I sighed.

"You know that there are many fake people online and also those who steal others' identities. I don't want you to have a social media page yet because you are still young, and I wouldn't have the time to manage the page for you," I told Kaleb, and he frowned.

"You don't have to manage it for me, Mom. I can post my pictures by myself. Please…" Kaleb begged, and I sighed.

"Fine. I will create a baby page for you when you are five. For now, keep growing," I promised him, and he nodded.

"Alright, Mom. I am hungry," Kaleb said, and I sighed.

"Okay."

Just then, I heard a knock on my office door, and I wondered who was there to see me.

As I went to pull the door open, I was taken aback by Edwin and his son standing there.

"Hi, what do you want?" I asked them in surprise, as I had taken off my sunglasses.

Edwin's jaw dropped as he looked at me in shock, and only then did I remember that I had removed my eyeglasses when I was in my office.
