Who is Martha?

Hana and Mrs. Kelly turned their eyes towards a girl who had just entered their house. The girl approaches Hana and Mrs. Kelly with a puzzled frown. Pointing at Hana with a smile that had faded, unlike before when entering the house earlier.

"Who are you?" It wasn't Hana or Mrs. Kelly who asked, but the girl who had entered their home earlier.

Hana started in surprise, but not Mrs. Kelly who smiled and greeted the girl.

"Isn't it backwards, I should be the one asking, who are you?" Hana asked back.

"Hah... you're nobody here. My parents and I are the ones in charge of this house," the girl said.

"Martha!" Mrs. Kelly snapped to keep her daughter-in-law from knowing the truth.

"You know her?"

"Yes, she's Martha, Franz's sister. She's your daughter," Mrs. Kelly replied.

"Why didn't you tell me before that Franz had a sister?" As Hana continued to ask questions, Martha, who had not been taught to speak, chimed in.

"How important is it? I thought Brother Franz was married to Karina, but he's not. I'm disappointed in him!"

"So what if Franz prefers me? Watch your mouth when you speak. I'm so much more worthy than Karina, the husband snatcher!" Hana dared to fight back this time, not like before who always gave in.

"A usurper... aren't you the usurper? You were the one who played with Brother Franz behind Sister Karina's back until you got married, don't think I didn't know about this!" Martha put on an emotional display.

"Martha! Hana is your sister-in-law after all, please respect her!" Mrs. Kelly snapped.

"You're defending her more than I am your own daughter, huh? Aren't you also very happy to have Karina's sister-in-law? Why are you changing now? I'm still on Karina's side no matter what!"

"I did help Karin at first, but after Karina chose to give up on liking your brother, I no longer support her. Hana is better than any other daughter-in-law," Mrs. Kelly stroked Hana's shoulder with a genuine smile.

"Then you're not loyal to Karina's sister!"

"Now I'm asking you back. Why did you suddenly come home from Mexico without telling me first? Is your cell phone broken? Oh that's impossible because 24 hours a day I know that you always have your phone in your hand," Mrs. Kelly quipped.

"I wanted to surprise Mom and Brother Franz... but not him!" Martha's sharp eyes made Mrs. Kelly sigh.

"Then you'd better leave this house, it's Mom's for all you know. If you don't agree with the rules in this house, please leave! There's no need to come back for good! I don't like my children being disrespectful to my daughter-in-law, understand!" Firm, yes. It had to be firm so that Martha would not be arbitrary with Hana, who had been Franz's wife for a long time.

"I can't believe this, I'm going to persuade Sister Karina to go back with Brother Franz!"

"Whatever, Mom doesn't care, just as long as you don't stay here. If you still want to live here, then obey the rules of this house. What's so hard about respecting your sister-in-law?"

'Tsk! Shit! I can't help it now. Why did you threaten me at all? I wanted to go home because I wanted to make everyone proud of my accomplishments in Mexico and I'd get a lot of praise from Sister Karina and Mom. I don't have the money to rent another apartment, Aissh!' Martha thought.

"Tsk, fine, I'll honor him, but only when Brother Franz is home. If Brother Franz isn't home, then I'm free to do anything to him."

"That's good. Now you sit down, explain why you suddenly came home. Is that where your contract ends?"

"No, I just want to take a vacation here for a few days."

"Okay then. Martha, you'd better get a job here, kiddo. Why do you have to go all the way to Mexico anyway?"

"Because smart people will think longer about their careers, Mom. But since there's a big problem here, I think I'll consider what you just said," Martha replied.

"Thank goodness, the important thing is that you're no longer away from me. I was worried about you too, dear. Hurry up and get dressed and eat."

"Okay, Mom." Martha quickly dragged her suitcase to her own room. Meanwhile, Hana was still wondering.

"Mother-in-law, why didn't you tell me about Martha? Why didn't Franz tell us that he has a younger sister?"

"We're sorry, Hana. We never told you because Martha never came home. Let alone coming home, you never heard from her at all. That's why we kept it a secret from you," Mrs. Kelly explained.

"But you shouldn't have kept it from me. If it's like this I also feel bad for Martha for not inviting her to my and Franz's wedding," Hana said.

"Hana, I'm really sorry. But I really wanted you to find out for yourself that Franz has a sister, like now,"

"But I'm really surprised, Mom, by all this. Especially when I found out that Martha didn't like my presence here either. If Franz and I are such a nuisance, we'll move out of here and buy an apartment, Mother,"

"No, son. You and Franz are no trouble at all. It's a big house, so you can live here freely. Don't listen to what Martha says. She's just back from Mexico and probably has a lot on her mind. Never mind, let's eat too." Hana smiled and followed Mrs. Kelly who was already walking towards the kitchen.

_

Karina went back to see Daren at his house. Opening the fence slightly, she tried to knock on the door. Before knocking, Karina sighed softly.

"This time I can't fail again, I must be able to make Mrs. Helena not be angry with me anymore, spirit!" Karina clenched her fist into the air as a sign that she could be excited to undergo this test of life that she thought was tough.

TOK! TOK! TOK!

CEKLEK!

Having just opened the door and knowing that it was Karina, Mrs. Helena immediately closed the door again. But was immediately held back by Karina.

"One moment, Mrs. Helena, at least give me a chance to speak."

"What else do you want here?"
