Chapter 416
Chapter 416
Satan was getting antsy and didn't want to wait around for those long-winded samples, so he decided to go with live subject research instead.
No one really knew where he got the people for his experiments, but just mentioning live subject research was enough to damn him to hell.
Aria patted her chest, feeling pretty relieved she wasn't some kind of mad scientist back then.
Carl chuckled at Aria's gesture and said, "You're too kind-hearted. You'd never go down that road, amnesia or not."
As for Satan... Carl's face twisted with a hint of disdain.
Just a mad scientist, not a genius, and definitely not in the same league as Angel.
Live subject experiments? Big deal. He still hadn't come up with anything worthwhile.
Aria thought for a moment, not wanting to get into Carl's attitude towards Chris. She was more worried about the password.
Whatever was on her mind, she asked straight out, "Do you know how I set the password back then?"
Carl's face went blank for a couple of seconds. He glanced at Lewis, then turned back with a look of disbelief, "You don't remember?"
Aria shook her head honestly.
If she could remember, she wouldn't be here asking about the password.
Carl stared at Aria's face for a couple of seconds, making sure she wasn't joking, then said with a bitter smile, "I know it has something to do with Mr. Windsor, but beyond that, I don't know."
At this point, Aria got curious, "How do you know the password is related to Lewis?"
Logically, a password shouldn't be known by someone like Carl, who wasn't that close to her.
Especially since it was for such important research results, it shouldn't be casually mentioned.
Carl hesitated for a moment, then asked sincerely, "Do you really want to know?"
Aria nodded.
Carl paused, closed his eyes, and said, "Because you said that if you were to set a password, it would definitely be related to Mr. Windsor, the handsome guy with broad shoulders and a slim waist. And to show your preference for Mr. Windsor, you spread this statement throughout the entire Discovery Research Lab."
Aria was silent, as well as Lewis. After a moment of silence, Lewis turned to Aria with a smile, his expression somewhat ambiguous, "I didn't expect Ms. York to like me so much back then."
Aria covered her face, quite surprised at how bold she had been.
Carl guessed that Aria had probably forgotten how she knew about Lewis, so he asked, "Do you want to know about Mr. Windsor from back then?"
Aria hesitated but eventually nodded.
She knew she had met Lewis when they were young, but unfortunately, she didn't remember how they met.
Carl spent half an hour, using all his vocabulary, to tell them a story filled with a hint of romance.
At that time, Aria and Lewis were only fourteen or fifteen, still very young.
Aria was attending an academic seminar at a remote mountain institute when she accidentally saved Lewis, who had fainted in the wild for some unknown reason.
Their meeting was a classic plot, but there was no story afterward.
Because Aria was a genius, she was too busy. She only had time to take a quick photo before leaving Lewis at the hospital.
It wasn't until the Discovery Research Lab was established that Aria had time to look for Lewis.
After a pause, Carl added, "Do you remember the concert you organized?"
A rare musical genius, Clea, emerged, creating famous compositions with astonishing talent.
It was then that she became Lewis's first love.
Aria nodded, now able to calmly accept what she had done before.
"You didn't plan to organize the concert, but when you heard Mr. Windsor might attend, you went."
The concert wasn't the main thing; it was about impressing the handsome guy.
Aria was thoroughly impressed with her younger self.
Lewis, standing beside her, responded lightly, "So it wasn't just my one-sided crush. Ms. York had plans for me all along."
Aria was silent.
It wasn't entirely her fault. Lewis just happened to be her type.
It was true now, and it must have been true back then.
She was just a young girl back then. How could she resist Lewis's charm?
Thinking of this, Aria looked at Lewis confidently, "It's all your fault."
Lewis nodded agreeably, "Yes, it's all my fault."
Carl smiled slightly, said goodbye, and left the two to their flirting.
He had a certain air of "mission accomplished, leaving without a trace."
Watching Carl's departing figure, Aria was silent for a moment, then turned to seriously study Lewis.
Lewis raised an eyebrow, "What? Are you going to kill me to keep the secret?"
"Yes, come here and face your doom."
Lewis chuckled, "No way, that would be spousal murder."
"Lewis," Aria suddenly called his name seriously, "where do you think I would set the password?"
"Your measurements?"
Aria was silent.
Alright, that's enough, shut up.
Although she was tempted by beauty when she was young, she wasn't that shallow.
Besides, if it really was her measurements, those chasing the research results would easily crack the password.
In the end, they didn't figure out the password.
Instead, the banquet arranged by the Griffith family came first.
As a famous family in Sylvanor, their big move to come to the country caused quite a stir in high society.
No one knew what they were planning.
Only a few insiders were lying half-dead in the Windsor Mansion, waiting for something to save their lives.
Simon sighed, looking at the belated snowfall outside with sadness.
Leroy had returned with Simon after completing the mission.
Leroy, with a roguish look, said something particularly annoying, "Did you have a fight with Becky?"
"You had a fight. Can you wish me well?"
"Then why are you sighing here?" Garrett couldn't understand.
"Because, after all, I'm a man. How can I live off my family all the time!" Simon's tone was inexplicably tragic, "I need to go out and make a name for myself!"
Lewis and Aria happened to come down the stairs, hearing the entire conversation.
Aria teased him with a smile, "Starting a business is too troublesome. Why don't you just take over the tyrant's position?"
The tyrant wasn't named, but it was obvious who she meant.
Simon's eyes lit up, "You're right!"
He turned around in surprise, only to crash into those deep black eyes.
