I opened my eyes and found myself in a healer's camp. It felt like my resources were depleted, like a well run dry, as if I could sleep for another month, but then Meara jumped into my head, and I jolted up.
"EEasy there, your highness.” A healer next to me said,.
“ Where am I?” I asked, clawing at an IV that had been inserted on top of my hand. I was the king. What was I doing here? I didn’t need stupid healing, I needed to find Meara.
The last thing I remembered was crashing down. Was I flying? No, that is impossible. I must have dreamed it. That must have been my mind playing tricks on me. In fact, my body didn’t want to do anything anymore.
“ Royalty,” was all the healer said before se continued again. “ You act like you are immune to all. You need food, and you need to rest, just like all other living things.”
“ I need to find her; I don’t need rest.” I said through gritted teeth.
“ You need to rest and eat.” A voice came from the door. Deon. What was he doing here?
“ I am fine.” I said as I started to get out of bed, and when I stood up, I was hit with a spell of dizziness. Deon caught me and placed me back on the bed.
“ You are far from fine. You can’t find her if you are not well. Rest. I beg of you, and when you are better, we will search again.”
“ How long have I been out?” He sighed.
“ Four days.” My eyes widened in shock.
“ Four…f..f…Four Days!” I did the math’s quickly in my head. Almost seven days. Seven days and no sign of Meara. I grunted and stroked my face hard. I was never going to find her.
“ Give me stats. What is the progress on the scouts?” He takes a seat in the guest chair next to the bed and sighs deeply, giving me the answer I dreaded.
“ What about the villagers, has anyone come forward with any news.” Deon shook his head, looking without hope.
“ Do you know what happened to me, how I ended up in here?” I asked, even though I did already know the answer. Deon inhales before speaking.
“ The same thing happened. You turned over… to.” He stopped speaking as Zaden, Mike and Seth entered the room. They had bruises on their faces and looked ruffled up.
“ What happened to you guys?” I asked eager to know.
“ Let’s just say we had a close encounter with the dark lord again.” Zaden mocked.
“ We tried to prevent you from hurting the villagers, but you stormed off into the woods, and shortly after, we heard this booming sound and something black shot into the sky at lighting speed.” A glimpse of flying through the air flashed into my head. Mike and the others just stared at each other silently.
“ What is it?”
“ We went looking for you in the woods but have come across what looked like a huge footprint.” Seth added.
“ Footprint? What kind of footprint.” I asked confused.
“ We will talk about that later. First we have to focus on getting you better and finding Meara.” Deon was always like a brother to me, looking over me, making sure that I was taken care of, but now wasn’t the time to think about me. We need to find Meara. Suddenly, a thought popped into my head.
“ Zaden?”
“ Yes your Highness?”
“ I need you to gather up men and cross through the portal to the human realm, and search for Meara there. Maybe she went back to her mother’s farm. I also want you to make sure that everything is well looked after there. Leave farmers there to attend to the farm if you have to.” Zaden nodded and without hesitation, he left.
“ Mike, I want you and Seth to continue your search throughout all the villages in the kingdom. Leave no house unturned.” Just like Zaden, Mike obeyed and left with Seth on his heels, leaving me and Deon.
“ I’ve searched everywhere. It’s like she just vanished.” I looked at Deon, and a new fear clawed at my gut. The cursed kingdom of Dravonia. He knew me so well that he knew exactly what I was thinking.
“ How would they get her through the barrier? You would have to be a dragon to get through.”
“ What if they sought the help of a witch and somehow manage to concoct a potion to get her through the barrier.” Deon pinched his nose and stared at my bed. I could tell by his expression that he was considering what I said might be true, then he lifted his head and our eyes met.
“ Fine, let’s say that they did get her through the barrier somehow, the question is, how would we get through?”
“ We will pay a visit to the witch kingdom, Calenthe, and find a witch powerful enough to help find Meara in some way.”
“ I know of one witch that is powerful enough, she is not stupid either, you know. In fact, she can do quite a lot of spells; ones she’s not even supposed to know, so she has an advantage, but I doubt she will help us after you rejected her marriage proposal.” I knew quite well what enchantress he was talking about, Cassandra
“ I have to try; It is my only option.”
“ We will head to Calenthe after you have rest. When you are better, I’ll help you, because I sort of gotten close to Cassandra after you two had your little outbursts.” I give him a raised brow.
“ I will explain later, but first, rest.” I laid my head back on the pillow and watched the roof. I’d searched everywhere, as in everywhere.
Meara, where the hell are you ?

It was late when he came to my room with another women through a private section I didn’t even know was a door. This is the second night in a row he came to my room after locking me up in that cold dungeon without food and a bed to sleep in.
It has only been a few days now, and I could already tell that I have lost some weight after taking a glance into the mirror and noticing the reflection staring back at me. I was shocked. Dark circles formed around my eyes from the lack of sleep, a bruised swollen lip from where that demon king struck me.
The king eyes gleamed with malice as he smiled like a predator savoring it's prey, and all I could think about, was how I wished I could smack that grin off his face.
“ Are we ready to try again.” I give him a glare.
“ I brought someone with me this time. This is my other mistress. She is here to show you how it is done, without giving me.. SAS!” He said the last part in exclamations. I squinted my eyes.
“ Haven’t I seen you around?” I remembered her face. She smiled.
“ I was one of the Mistresses at Madam Morganna’s brothel that helped get you cleaned up.” Then it hit me. She was the one who stood up for me against that other mean girl.
“ That is enough chattering. Get to work woman!” We both flinched as he growled. His voice rumbling off the stone walls making it sound even louder.
“ Morgan, show the new one what is expected of her.” Without hesitation, she went down on her knees in front of him. The corner of his mouth curved into a smile as she started loosening his trousers with one swift motion, and letting it fall to his ankles. By her swift maneuver, I could tell this wasn’t her first time doing whatever she was about to do.
Her back is turned to me, but I could see as she went closer to his private parts. Luckily, I couldn’t see his private parts as her head was blocking the view, and I was thankful for that, because I didn’t want to see his grey fleshy penis anyway.
Everything about him nauseates me. I don’t know how she is even able to do that to someone as revolting as him. I would rather die before I do that.
Her head bobs back and forth as she stimulates him with her mouth. He groans with pleasure, gripping a fist full of her hair in his clutches, and wrapping it around his hand. He jerks her head harder into him, making her gag. I quickly turn around, facing my back to them.
“ You will fucking watch if I command it!” He growled, forcing me to turn back and face them again. What choice did I have? I did not want to spend another night in that cold dungeon without food and rats the size of otters nipping at my feet.
I wished I could wield a shield around myself so I could not hear the sounds of Morgan sucking on that Monster. I felt like such a pervert for watching them, but there was no other way out of this. I tried to tune them out, but they were to close. I couldn’t.
