Blood is thicker than hate part 1
The next morning, Mateo and his men went to get the shipment, he had just been called that his goods had arrived. In other not to look suspicious, he took a mini van with his boys. The van was registered under his name, just like Santiago, he also loves to register his property under the name of someone else.
The properties he registers under the name of somebody else are properties he normally uses to carry out his operations. He sat with his men as they hit the road. He reached the seaport, but he didn't step down from the van, his men were the people who went to finish everything.
They paid off the person who shipped the goods into the country, they placed everything in a white van. Two of the. Entered that van and another two entered an identical white van filled with empty cartons. The rest entered the van that brought them back here.
"This isn't right, they'll think something is off if we don't have a car following the other van. Take the black car we had packed here for emergency and follow the decoy while this van will follow the other van.
They hit the road, both vans taking different roads, and as they thought, the van that had the empty cartons was attacked. A shoot-out breakout, the sounds of the gun were ear-blasting. But Santiago wasn't in this operation like he had said, only his men were here.
Although they were engaged in a gunfight, they didn't stop their car. The car was moving despite the shooting. Santiago's men were able to handle all of Mateo's men, it was an unfair fight, five against eight.
Epiphone jumped down from the driver's seat, ran to the van and opened it, He opened the cartons but there was nothing inside. He smirked.
The other van carrying the real shipment was suddenly ambushed, Santiago's men had hidden in the bushes waiting for Mateo. They had surrounded him, Santiago with a mask over his face stepped out of hiding, he aimed at the van that was carrying brother.
He took Mateo by surprise, he shot him in the arm. Mateo was quick to recover, he fired back at him but missed. Santiago laughed and ran back into the bushes, a gunfight broke out, both teams shooting at each other nonstop.
Mateo was losing blood, he couldn't keep up with the fight, he locked eyes with his brother before ordering his men to abandon the shipment and run. They left the van there and ran away.
......A few hours earlier.....
"I'm sure Mateo knows that we are going to attack him, if I know him very well, I'll say he's going to set up a decoy van. We are going to split ourselves into two and attack both vans." He stared at his men trying to see if they were following him, when he saw that their undivided attention was on him, he continued;
"So we are going to stand on both roads leaving the sea, I know." He looked at his wristwatch, "It's almost time, let's get going." They took two vans.
Unlike Mateo, Santiago took a lot of men, there was no room for mistakes. His brother bit him first but he's going to bite back deeper.
.......... Present.......
Mateo's men rushed him to the doctor they had in the safehouse, both Mafia has doctors who attend to their wounds because if they got to the hospitals, they are going to ask questions and would involve the police.
The doctor didn't waste time, he sedated him with anaesthesia, took out the bullets, and dressed his wounds. Mateo has lost a lot of blood, luckily his blood type was in their blood bank, and the doctor did the necessary things.
He went further to attend to the others who were hurt, some had wounds on their legs and others on their back and hands. He treated them all before resting, he stared at the five people lying unconscious on the bed and shook his head.
Back at Santiago, they took the shipment and went to their warehouse, they unlocked it and true to what Epiphone said, there were cocaine, guns and bullets.
"It was a success!" They exclaimed and cheered. "Mateo thought he was smart but you boss, are smarter." They laughed.
The goods they stole were placed in the warehouse. On the cocaine, they wrote Mexican products. He stared at it and twitched. They might gotten what they lost and more but Mexican cocaine is not as good as Bolivian cocaine.
After they had celebrated, he finally returned home, Ruth was in the kitchen cooking lunch, she had an apron tied around her waist and neck. As much as Santiago wanted to go and join her in the kitchen, he had to go take a bath.
His clothes were designed with blood stains, he didn't want her to freak out. He took a bath and dumped the clothes in the washing machine, with his towel tied around his waist, he went to the balcony in his room and decided to smoke a cigarette.
He remembered the time he locked eyes with Mateo, the look in his eyes, the fear that passed like a flash. It was taunting him, he didn't like the way he felt, and he wasn't supposed to care about him. "Fuck!" He punched the wall and slid down, he didn't know what was wrong with him.
"I'm not supposed to be worried about you, I'm supposed to be glad that you are hurt." He mumbled to himself.
"Maybe you are worried because you care about him." Ruth suddenly said startling him.
"I'm not supposed to care about him, he is my enemy." He let out a frustrated sigh.
"He was your enemy when you didn't know that he was your brother but now you know that he is your brother and I'm sure that you have some kind of connection."
Ruth sat on his legs, she hooked her hands on his neck and pegged his lips. "I know that he feels the same way, I saw the look that flashed in his eyes when he found out that you were his twin."...
