Chapter31 Parting on Bad Terms
Caius hadn't expected her to bring up that "contract" in this kind of atmosphere. It was undoubtedly somewhat mood-killing.
But Linnea was persistent. She stared motionlessly at his eyes.
"There’s hardly any time left." Linnea emphasized again. "Caius, everything you're doing to me, is it still like after the first time we had sex, just to tease me?"
Making her almost believe he felt something special for her, then abruptly withdrawing, saying it was just playing around with her.
Thinking about it, Linnea felt a bit stifled.
"Linnea, are you afraid I'll notify you the relationship is over the moment our contract expires?"
"Yes." This was the most critical step in her revenge plan. Of course she was afraid of failure.
But Caius seemed to misunderstand something.
He caressed her cheek, asking her softly, "Linnea, are you upset? That afraid I won't want you anymore?"
Linnea hesitated, then nodded.
Caius laughed pleasantly. He pulled her into his arms. "If you know to be afraid, then be more obedient and stop making me angry. Make me happy, and I might keep you around a few more days."
"What you promised at the time was that when the contract ends, if I satisfy you, you'd support me for at least a lifetime." Linnea mumbled. "Not just keeping me around a few more days. Like adopting a kitten or puppy."
"Aren't you my little cat?"
Caius pinched her puffed-up cheek in anger. He was about to say more when another phone call came in.
He answered it in front of her. His other hand, however, rubbed the middle of her skirt hem through the thin layer of fabric. Linnea held his arm. To avoid losing composure, she opened her phone to check newly arrived messages.
It was from her supervisor at the yacht party. Yesterday's incident seemed to have been kept under wraps. The supervisor was completely unaware and only told Linnea that her promotion was confirmed and she had already recommended Linnea for it.
[Supervisor: I think you'll be satisfied with the result.]
Linnea felt a bit awkward. She wasn't sure whether, after last night's dangerous incident, those top bosses on the yacht already recognized her. The yacht probably already belonged to Caius now, and Caius also wouldn't likely allow her to go back to work.
But she had worked so hard for this promotion...
Linnea sighed slightly. Immediately after, she was rubbed hard below by rough fingers. Caius had long since put down his phone, dissatisfied with her distraction. "Who are you chatting with? Tell me."
"It's nothing..." She instinctively tried to hide it.
But her phone was snatched away by Caius. He glanced at the messages on it, and his face immediately stiffened. This slut who couldn't stay out of trouble... He wanted to do her right here immediately!
His face darkened as he said, "I think you need to explain to me. This job, do you want to go, or not?"
In small matters, Linnea wasn't good at lying.
She bit her lip tightly, hesitated for a while, but still said, "I want to go."
Caius laughed in anger. "So all the warnings I just gave you, you treated them as background noise, right?"
"No, Caius, listen to me." Linnea tried to explain. "Now I'm in management. I don't need frequent contact with guests. I don't think this will offend you. And I worked so hard to get promoted to supervisor."
But Caius didn't agree with her. "You've only worked there less than a week and were already able to rise to that position. This proves that to you, this position isn't precious. If you go to other positions with similar employee requirements, you can easily succeed too."
"But I need money right now. I don't have time to try other professions."
"Money?" Caius scoffed. "How much do you want that I can't give you?"
"I need a lot of money."
"Then it's not something you can earn through this job."
Linnea's momentum weakened a bit. She knew what Caius said made sense. Even sitting in the supervisor's position, working desperately for several years wouldn't earn enough money to start even a small project within the group.
But she still felt somewhat stifled. She didn't like being controlled too tightly by Caius. This made the rebellious factor in her heart tremble wildly.
"It won't delay your time looking for me to sleep with you anyway." She suddenly said softly. "And I won't let other men touch me. I guarantee I'll be clean when you fuck me. Isn't that enough... Ah!"
Caius viciously pinched the flesh below.
He looked down at Linnea sitting on the table like looking at a child who didn't understand. "It seems I need to give you a little 'lesson.'"
Linnea was in so much pain tears spurted out, but he pressed her legs and spread them open.
In front of these anonymous paintings by her mother, she was mercilessly "taught a lesson" by Caius with his cold face.
At first, she barely maintained her dignity. But when his rough fingertips penetrated deeply, crazily stabbing that sensitive spot, she still couldn't help crying out, gripping Caius's wrist tightly. "Caius, don't, ugh... Can we do this after we go back? Not here!"
"Go back?" Caius's eyes were cold and hard. "What are you fantasizing about? I'm not in the mood to have sex with a disobedient bad cat."

"I'm punishing you."
Linnea quickly understood his words.
When she was about to reach the peak, Linnea was already completely immersed in lust. Her abdomen was convulsing, something was about to burst out, but Caius suddenly withdrew his hand.
He inserted several sticky fingers into her mouth, blocking her unsatisfied murmurs.
He also gripped both her hands, preventing her from continuing to satisfy herself.
Linnea was nearly bullied to tears. She was forced to hold the fingers in her mouth, saying vaguely, "Caius, please let me go..."
"If I don't teach you a lesson, how will you know you were wrong?"
"But you brought me here to apologize to me..."

The fingers moved. Linnea could only cry out helplessly again.
But footsteps gradually approached.
The instant Caius's subordinate knocked on the door, Caius lowered her skirt hem, wiped all the stickiness on his hand onto her underwear, and pushed her into the bathroom.
He indeed kept his promise not to let her embarrass herself in front of outsiders.
Linnea peeked at him. After that crazy incident just now, he was still neatly dressed with a calm expression.
"When she comes out, send a female driver to take her back."
"And you..."
"Send me back to the company."
"Yes."
Linnea's heart contracted tightly. She stared at his departing back, incredulous.
Caius... he just left like that? After he had teased her to the point of nearly going crazy.
The unfinished bookmark was still sitting on the table. He didn't take it.
But he really left.
When the female driver came in looking for her, Linnea finally turned on the faucet, mechanically washing away the wet marks on her face and lower body, then changed into the brand new clothes in the bathroom. She couldn't figure out at all why there would be a bathroom in the studio.
However, the one thing she was certain of was that she had made Caius angry again!
The next day, Linnea went to work normally.
While waiting for the elevator with several assistants, the man with the highest status in the Thorne Group, Caius, walked over surrounded by a group of executives.
Several assistants quickly nodded in greeting. Linnea followed suit.
But she had a vague sense of foreboding.
Soon, her premonition was confirmed.
Caius kept a straight face, but his eyes swept over everyone and he nodded in acknowledgment.
Except he ignored her.
