Chapter 151 Yes, I'm going crazy! You're driving me crazy!

Lauren tried every way but couldn't see Victoria.

Whitney cried her heart out.

Lauren reluctantly went to find Vincent. The night before she went, she had smoked and drank beer on the balcony of her apartment. After getting drunk, she cried and laughed, whispering Vincent's name. She now hated him to the core!

Maple Ridge Lodge.

Vincent sat in the office, legs stretched out on the desk. It was the most intense period of business competition between him and Kyle's company. So he was anxious and mad.

His secretary, Alice, came in with a complex expression: "Vincent, Mrs. Page is here to see you."

Mrs. Page?

Vincent's first reaction was to refuse, coldly saying, "Send her away! If not, give her a check and tell her not to spread rumors."

However, Alice didn't leave, softly reminding him, "It's Lauren!"

Lauren came?

After a moment of confusion, Vincent slowly put his legs down and hoarsely said, "Let her in."

Shortly after, Alice led Lauren in. Alice, Vincent's confidante, knew all about Vincent and Lauren's past. She left after bringing Lauren in.

The heavy door closed with a deep sound. Lauren stood at the door, silently looking at Vincent, and so did Vincent.

They remained silent for a long time. Vincent put away the red wine on the table and extinguished his cigarette. Although their past together was tumultuous, he didn't want to reveal it in front of her now.

Lauren watched him tidy up. After a while, she softly spoke, "Vincent, I never intended to have any connection with you again in this lifetime. You are a married man, and I don't want any ambiguity with you! But this time, I'm asking you, I want to see Victoria once."

Vincent looked at her. He remembered the many times they had made love in this office.

Now, in the same place, they were separated by worldly ethics.

If he didn't care about her, he could easily treat her as a mistress, but he couldn't!

He gazed at her silently for a long time, not giving a direct answer but asking, "How have you been lately?"

Lauren said it wasn't good. She looked at Vincent and said, "Victoria is not well, and I can't calm down! Vincent, I know we've settled long ago, and I'm asking you this time. You may not agree, but for Victoria, my only relative, I'm willing to beg you once! If you have conditions..." Vincent interrupted her. He didn't let her say those self-deprecating words, nor did he allow her to tell them.

He couldn't have sex with her again; they had a child together, and in his heart, she was actually his wife. He didn't tell her that he had undergone a vasectomy.

No woman would get pregnant by him again, including Nicole!

He also didn't tell her that one day, he would make Nicole pay the price and make her child pay the price.

Vincent said softly, "I can help you."

At that moment, Lauren felt like crying; she looked down at her toes and whispered a thank you.

Vincent stared straight at her. She didn't approach him, and neither did him. They spoke at a distance of four or five meters as if this distance was safe and right.

When Lauren left, he didn't see her off. He just sat there, quietly watching her walk out the door.

With Vincent's help, Lauren finally saw Victoria.

Zachary only gave them half an hour.

For this meeting, Lauren prepared many things: children's clothes and toys, supplements for Victoria, and a car full of items.

Lauren had prepared many words, but when she saw Victoria, she broke down.

Victoria looked extremely haggard!

She had lost a lot of weigh. Her face was thin, and she looked very worn out.

She didn't look like a woman who had just given birth.

Lauren had seen other women who had given birth, and they all looked well-nourished.

Lauren felt heartbroken. S

he touched Victoria's body, her voice trembling as she asked, "Is he treating you badly? Why have you become so thin? Have you seen a doctor?"

Victoria, rare to see her, also had tears in her eyes. She didn’t want Lauren worry about her so she said, "I just have a poor appetite; everything else is fine; you don't need to worry about me!"

How could Lauren believe that? Victoria knew Lauren's limitations and didn't want her to confront Zachary for her, as it would only cause trouble for Lauren. She showed Emily to Lauren.

Emily was well taken care of, and he was handsome. Lauren looked at her and cried tears of joy, "She looks so much like you, Victoria!"

She choked up and teased Emily in her arms, "I bought you a toy; let's see if you like it?"

The colorful bells made a crisp and pleasant sound. Emily smiled happily. When she smiled, showing a row of small teeth, she looked especially cute.

Lauren, however, cried at the sight! She hugged Emily and cried quietly, feeling useless.

She couldn't help Victoria, she couldn't take Victoria away! Victoria gently hugged her, holding her quietly.

After a while, Victoria softly said, "There will always be a day when we can meet often! Lauren, take care of the shop for me. Several shops in the back will be opening in several cities, and you will have to take care of them. This is the foundation of our future livelihood!"

Lauren played the tambourine for Emily , crying as she promised to help Victoria. They talked a bit more, and then the bodyguard came in to escort Lauren out. Lauren cursed Zachary as she left, calling him a jerk!

The bodyguard looked embarrassed, "Mrs. Page!" Victoria wiped away Lauren's tears and smiled at her, saying, "When Zachary gets tired of me, he will let me go!"

Lauren trembled, lips quivering, and left.

After she left, Victoria stood in the living room for an afternoon, looking in the direction Lauren had walked. She wanted to leave, but she knew she couldn't take Emily with her now. Zachary wouldn't let go.

She stood there until evening, with colorful clouds filling the sky. Zachary walked in and hugged her from behind, softly asking, "Did seeing Lauren make you feel better?"

He felt she was still thin through his touch. Zachary frowned slightly as he had instructed the servants to prepare a lot of nutritious food for Victoria every day, yet she hadn't gained weight.

Victoria didn't speak to him. She didn't want to talk to him, but she didn't have the strength to push him away either.

Perhaps her long indifference had annoyed the man. Suddenly, Zachary turned her body around and pressed her onto the English sofa.

Victoria was stunned for a moment and finally said, "Zachary, you are crazy!"

Zachary held her chin and stared into her eyes, "Yes! I am going crazy! Victoria, you are driving me crazy."

With that, he began to kiss her, kissing her wildly.

She resisted, but he reached into her clothes. He forced her to feel his love.
