When Nicol left my office, I went to my desk to look at a contract that Luther has send through. I didn’t even open it when I heard a commotion at my door and then I heard Karen’s voice screaming at Nicol “You bitch!” As I walked out of my office Nicol yelled at Karen “Leave me alone Karen.” It was only Jason and Anton that saw me approached and for some reason Anton didn’t do anything until I raised my voice and yelled at her “Let go of her right now Karen!” Suddenly the whole floor was quiet you could hear a pin drop but Karen was still standing with Nicol’s ponytail in her hand. It was like everything happened in slow motion. “Should I repeat myself?” I asked Karen with a death stare. She let go of Nicol allowing her to walk towards me. I could see down the hall and Luther was walking our way. Clearly, I screamed loader than expected. “Now how can I help you Karen, Anton?” Karen only then realized that Anton was standing behind her, she grabbed his arm and made him stand next to her.
Anton cleared his throat like everyone should now listen because the big man was going to speak. “You see Nicolas your so-called friend, Luther………” He started but Luther tapped him on the shoulder, “I’m right here.” Luther wasn’t a small guy Anton looked like a child standing in front of Luther. “Well yes Luther here put me and Karen together to cause trouble in paradise……” he pointed at us while saying it. “Oh, really did he know?” I said pretending I had no clue. “Yes, well stop the act you two came up with the idea trying to force 2 people together that was not supposed to be together.” I grabbed at my chest dramatically “But you are engaged clearly everything worked out perfectly I really don’t know why you two are so upset?” I said looking at both of them. “Are you saying getting engaged to Karen was a ploy? Didn’t you want to get engaged to her?” This time Karen’s eyes were on Anton and she was giving him the death stare. “Well truly I thought we would be able to mess more with you.” “What you didn’t really want to get engaged to me?” Karen asked him totally shocked. “No, I did not, I wanted to fuck with Nicolas but clearly he was pulling the strings the whole time and got me in a situation I can’t get out of now.” Karen was still looking at Anton in total shock. “Tell me the truth you wouldn’t have left Nicol for Karen?” I started to laugh so hard I made everyone around me uncomfortable, when I was finally done, I cleared my throat and said “I would never leave Nicol. Never in my life I lost her once and it almost broke me; it didn’t matter what the two of you did it wouldn’t have worked.” “You do know I can still get you right?” Karen said totally delusional.
Then I saw a change to see if I could rattle her cage and Anton’s for that matter. “What you going to get your criminal father the one that deals in everything illegal to come and kidnap me and force me at gunpoint to marry you?” I said with a smile on my face. It was Anton that slipped and said “How do you know?” “ANTON!” Karen yelled at him. “I had an idea but thank you for confirming.” “We need to leave NOW!” Karen said. “I take it you are done with me and Nicol now you two can go on your merry way and go and be happy or miserable somewhere else I mean we have a wedding to arranged and so many other things.” Karen walked straight up to me and got in my face poking me with her finger in my chest. “I regret the first day I met you, you are a man whore and not worthy of me, I am a queen and I will be treated like one. Then she looked at Nicol and said “Well good luck to you dear, he will cheat on you and you will have a miserable life with him.” Then she turned around grabbed Anton by the arm and dragged him out of Jason’s office it was Luther that started to give a slow clapped which caused the whole office to stand up and clap for them, Anton didn’t know where to put his head while Karen thought the attention was great. Fuck that women are delusional. When the lift finally closed everyone sat back down and went on with their work.
It was the first time I could look at Nicol I thought she would be white or upset but she was actually smiling. “Sweetheart?” I asked her “Does this mean we are finally done with them? Or should I say she’s done with you?” “It would appear so.” She jumped into my arms and threw her legs around my waist, then she started to kiss me where ever she could get a spot. “Thank you Thank you thank you.” She finally let go of me and slid down my body. Luther looked at her and asked “What about me? I had to convince them.” She took two steps and wrapped her arms around Luther’s middle giving him a hug. “Thank you, Luther, if we are having a boy we will name him after you.” “HELL NO.” I said as I looked at the two of them who just started laugh.
