Chapter 333 We Two Get Married
Just as Cecilia was furious that something might have happened to Armando, the study door was pushed open without a knock.
Jane burst into the study like a cannonball, complaining in a spoiled, angry tone, "Grandma, Tommy broke my bracelet!"
Jane pouted, holding out one small hand with a delicate bracelet in her palm.
Actually, it wasn't broken, just dirty. It would be fine after washing.
Her eyes glistened with tears.
Cecilia instantly looked at Jane with overwhelming hatred in her eyes, but quickly forced down the anger in her heart.
Cecilia tried hard to put on a smile, "Jane, I'll take you to buy a new bracelet later, okay?"
Jane was still unhappy. She just liked this particular bracelet.
Cecilia crouched down and gently stroked Jane's hair. She smiled, "I'll buy Jane an even prettier bracelet, okay?"
Jane nodded. Though still a bit unhappy, she nodded, "Okay then."
"Go play with Tommy, don't fight. I'm busy right now." Cecilia said kindly.
"I don't want to play with Tommy anymore." Jane pouted and ran out of the study.
Willful, spoiled, selfish.
Cecilia was deliberately raising Jane in this direction.
She watched Jane's back as she ran out of the study, slowly stood up, and the kind expression on her face instantly disappeared, replaced by deep malice.
She absolutely couldn't let Timothy notice that she already knew about Armando's disappearance.
Cecilia's eyes were like they were laced with poison.
Jake was useless too. After fighting for so long, he still hadn't taken Timothy down!
Cecilia quickly dialed Sam's number, "Sam, please help us arrange a flight for tomorrow. I need to send Jane and the others to Sylvanor for school."
She, Cecilia, would raise Tommy and Jane well in the future, turning them into a sharp sword to stab into Timothy and Elizabeth's hearts.
At this moment, Elizabeth, who was feeding the ducklings, looked at a message that suddenly appeared on her phone and frowned.
A stranger had sent her information about seeing Seraphina in Cloudy Town.
Timothy walked to the backyard and saw Elizabeth crouching there, staring at her phone in a daze. He also crouched down to look, "What's wrong?"
Elizabeth blinked. She handed the phone to Timothy, "I don't know who sent me Seraphina's whereabouts."
Timothy took the phone, looked at the message, and frowned too, "Cloudy Town? The source of this information..."
Elizabeth's expression was calm, "Whether this message is true or false, I can't let any lead slip by. I've decided to go check it out. Besides, I left the company specifically to search for Seraphina."
Timothy reached out and ruffled Elizabeth's hair, "If you want to go, then go."
A breeze blew, lifting Elizabeth's hair. She leaned close to Timothy and kissed him.
Timothy didn't move, letting her do as she pleased.
Elizabeth stood up, looking down at Timothy, "Mr. Robinson, I'm going to pack."
Timothy touched his lips. He stood up and followed Elizabeth back to the bedroom.
As he watched her pack, he took out his phone to call Joe to arrange for a plane.
"Elizabeth," Timothy said gently, "we don't know where this message came from. I'm worried about your safety, so this time I'm arranging for Max to go with you."
Max had very high combat skills.
Elizabeth smiled and nodded in agreement, "Okay."
Just then, Timothy's phone rang.
The caller ID showed Avalonia.
No need to guess—it was Alfonso calling.
At this time, it was evening in Avalonia.
The moment Timothy answered, Alfonso on the other end immediately asked respectfully, "Mr. Robinson, can you tell me where Mabel is?"
Timothy's eyes turned slightly cold, and he said calmly, "I don't know where she is."
"No, you must know," Alfonso's brow furrowed tighter, his voice carrying anxiety, "I believe Mabel would definitely contact you and Elizabeth."
Timothy curved his lips in a faint smile, "Alfonso, if your mother really died, do you think Mabel would continue living with you? She's doing fine now. Stop bothering her."
Hearing this, Alfonso's face darkened. Just as he was about to say something more, Timothy hung up.
Alfonso looked at the disconnected call, his mood irritable as he pressed his lips together.
Sophia knocked on the door and walked into the study carrying a bowl of porridge.
"Get out." Alfonso didn't want to see anyone right now. He said coldly with his back to Sophia.
Sophia smiled helplessly and continued walking in. She placed the porridge on the desk and walked to Alfonso's side, "You didn't eat dinner. It's so late now, have some porridge, okay?"
"I said get out." Alfonso's voice was icy, with a trace of impatience.
Hearing Alfonso's cold words, a flash of hurt crossed Sophia's face, but she quickly regained her composure.
Sophia said softly, "I have a way to make Ms. Coleman stop watching you and Ms. Simpson."
Alfonso turned his head to look at Sophia. After a few seconds, his eyes held a trace of curiosity, "What way?"
Sophia hesitated, then turned to face Alfonso and spoke calmly yet helplessly, "Alfonso, let's get married."
Alfonso's face instantly became even colder, ready to throw her out.
Sophia looked directly into Alfonso's eyes and continued slowly, "Our marriage would only be temporary. Once Ms. Coleman sees you're married, she should feel relieved. Then we can secretly divorce, and you'll be free to find Ms. Simpson."
Alfonso rejected the suggestion without thinking, "I won't marry you. Even if we divorce later, it's not happening. A fake is a fake—we can't hide it forever."
Sophia smiled, that smile carrying a trace of bitterness, "Then let's hide it forever. As long as I cooperate with you, Ms. Coleman won't suspect anything. We can use the excuse of developing a branch office to leave Avalonia, and you and Ms. Simpson can go live happily somewhere else."
"Alfonso, I know you'll never love me in this lifetime, and I don't plan to find another man to start a family with."
"Just marry me first."
Alfonso was silent for a while, his heart somewhat conflicted.
He knew Sophia's method was one way to solve the problem, but he wasn't willing to resolve things this way.
Just as Alfonso was about to refuse Sophia, his subordinate who had been sent to find Mabel called.
"Mr. Carr, we found Ms. Simpson. She's on the West Coast, but Ms. Simpson is pregnant, and she's about to get an abortion."
Hearing this news, Alfonso's face changed dramatically. Mabel was pregnant?
This news hit him like a heavy blow to the heart.
He urgently instructed his subordinate on the phone, "Stop her immediately. I'm going to the West Coast right now."
His voice carried a barely noticeable tremor.
Sophia couldn't hear the phone conversation, but seeing the anxious expression on Alfonso's face, she knew the call must be about Mabel.
Watching him speak with a trembling voice, Sophia felt a sharp pain in her heart.
Before Alfonso could stride out of the study, he suddenly stopped.
He turned to look at Sophia, his eyes deep and complex, "I agree to your suggestion. When I come back, we'll get married."
Sophia said hoarsely, "Okay."
