Chapter 326 Personally Looking for Seraphina
Early the next morning.
The village children gathered excitedly at Luca's door, waiting to receive their gifts.
Boxes of gifts were stacked at the entrance.
The gifts Nolan and his group brought for the children were toys, dolls, and school supplies.
The children were all so happy after receiving their gifts.
Some parents also came to join the fun.
The whole scene was lively and bustling.
Nolan asked Luca with a smile, "Are all the children here? We bought a lot of gifts, and it looks like there will be some left over."
Luca looked around, and when he saw Mason, he remembered that picked-up girl Seraphina. He said, "There's still a little girl from Mason's family who hasn't come."
Nolan continued smiling calmly, "Then call her over too. All the children should get one."
Luca nodded. He called out to Mason, who was unwrapping toys, "Mason, go home and bring your sister to get a gift."
Hearing Luca's words, Mason looked up and mumbled somewhat reluctantly, "She's not my sister."
Luca frowned, "Mason, go now."
Mason pouted, stood up reluctantly, and ran home.
As soon as he got home, he shouted loudly into the house, "Mom, Luca told me to bring Echo over to get a gift."
Hearing this, Zara came out of the main room and glared at Mason, "What gift? She doesn't need one."
"Zara, wait, we can let Xiulian go."
Another middle-aged woman's voice came from the main room. Laura pulled her daughter Flora out of the main room.
This woman was Zara's sister Laura. Laura happened to bring Flora from the neighboring village today to visit and borrow money.
Zara also felt it would be foolish not to take advantage of a good deal. Zara told Mason to take Flora to get the gift, "Mason, take your cousin to get a gift."
Mason looked at his cousin Flora and said reluctantly, "Come on, I'll take you."
Laura patted Flora's shoulder.
The two children ran out the door.
Luca saw that Mason brought not Seraphina, but Zara's relative.
Luca was speechless and helpless. He really felt embarrassed and didn't have the nerve to tell Nolan and Ryder the truth.
Nolan and Ryder looked at each other, a bit disappointed. This wasn't the Seraphina that Timothy was looking for.
Flora received her gift and happily carried it home with Mason to play.
In the storage room, Seraphina still sat quietly. She perked up her ears listening to the sounds of Mason and the others playing outside.
There was envy in her eyes.
She lowered her head and fiddled with the rope tied around her ankle.
Zara had tied it a bit too tight, and Seraphina felt uncomfortable around her ankle.
Meanwhile, Nolan confirmed the number of children with Luca once more.
Learning that all the children had already come to receive gifts, he couldn't help feeling somewhat disappointed.
It seemed that there was still no progress in finding the Seraphina that Timothy was looking for.
Nolan and Ryder helplessly decided to continue searching in the next village.
They said goodbye to Luca at noon.
Nolan handed Luca a cigarette and said, "About building the elementary school in the village, I've already contacted that boss. He'll send people down to inspect the situation before building the school. As for contracting the mountain land, we need to go back and discuss it with our families first."
Hearing this, Luca smiled, "Good, thank you. Being able to build an elementary school is a great thing for our village."
As long as the children could study up to second grade, they could then transfer to the neighboring village for third grade.
Nolan and Ryder left Whispering Town with regret.
Every day, Timothy would carefully review the latest information about the search for Seraphina that Joe had compiled.
Today there were still no useful leads. He disappointedly rubbed his temples and let out a deep sigh.
He closed his laptop, stood up, and decided to go to the suburbs again to question Rolf.
Seeing Timothy arrive, Rolf's expression changed slightly.
His face was gaunt, his eyes sunken, clearly having endured tremendous pressure.
Even so, Rolf still clenched his teeth, unwilling to reveal any information about Seraphina.
Timothy looked coldly at Rolf, a flash of coldness and disappointment in his eyes, but Timothy didn't say much and turned to leave the cabin.
Max walked behind Timothy. Seeing Timothy's cold back, he sighed inwardly.
The country was so big, finding someone was really difficult.
Timothy got into the car and instructed the driver to go to Seraphina Enterprises. He sent a message to Robbie.
The car started, driving toward the city center.
The scenery outside the window kept changing, from suburbs to the bustling city, and Timothy's thoughts kept churning.
Arriving at Seraphina Enterprises, Robbie was already waiting for Timothy downstairs.
Timothy walked into the office and saw Elizabeth on the phone.
He walked to the sofa and sat down, waiting for her.
Elizabeth looked up and glanced at Timothy. Having spent so much time together, she could tell at first glance that Timothy was in a bad mood.
She said to Lyle on the other end of the phone, "I'll contact you tonight."
Lyle probably guessed that Elizabeth might have something going on now. He agreed and hung up.
He had called Elizabeth mainly to talk about Armando.
The man named Irvin they had arranged had won Brynn's favor in a short time.
Brynn had already taken a liking to Irvin.
Elizabeth actually hadn't expected Brynn to change her heart so quickly.
Elizabeth hung up the phone and walked over to Timothy, concern in her eyes, "Mr. Robinson?"
Timothy reached out and pulled Elizabeth into his arms. He held her and said, "I've asked a psychiatrist to come to the house."
She could only sleep two or three hours a night and would wake up in the middle of sleep.
Timothy was really worried about Elizabeth's mental state.
Elizabeth was silent for a moment, "Okay."
The two hugged quietly for a while. Timothy said in a low voice, "You can go handle company matters first. We'll go home at three this afternoon."
Elizabeth nodded. She looked up at Timothy.
Elizabeth raised her hand and gently stroked Timothy's white hair, a trace of tenderness in her eyes, "You didn't get any news about Seraphina today either, did you? The people I sent out didn't find Seraphina today either."
She said softly, "Mr. Robinson, I'm planning to go look for Seraphina myself."
Elizabeth now had a steady source of funds to invest a lot of manpower in searching for Seraphina.
She would find someone to take over her position at Seraphina Enterprises.
Timothy held Elizabeth's slender fingers and brought them to his lips, kissing them devotedly.
He paused and said hoarsely, "I'm already working to shorten the restriction period. After the restriction ends, I'll accompany you too. We'll personally go to every place to search for Seraphina."
Elizabeth reached out and hugged Timothy's waist. She blinked her slightly red eyes, "Okay, we'll go find Seraphina together."
The two of them as a couple had always been working hard to do good things.
They hoped that good luck would fall upon Seraphina.
