Bonus Scene #2: Heading for Alpha School
Jake’s POV

“Do you really have to go?” asks a somber voice. The voice young but not overly young. My eyes soon turning towards the person who spoke. My eyes quick in spotting Tori’s. My Tori. The same one I’d been crushing over since turning 14 and getting my wolf.

Vox overly protective of Tori as well, as were both Volt and Ash. A soft smile soon quick to rise. “Yes little one, unfortunately I have to go. As do Zak and Alex.”

“But why?”

“Because it’s required of us little one. As future rulers, it’s our responsibility to attend the Crimsoncrown Academy. You would’ve come too if you had been 14 as well.”

Tori just quick to huff. “Yeah, well… I’m not. I’m only 8.”

“That’s okay, by the time you officially turn 14 we’ll each be able to teach you ourselves. Then that way, you won’t have to worry about attending the school alone.”

“But…” Tori suddenly blinking. “Didn’t you just say it was required? How does that apply to me? Wouldn’t I still need to attend in order to become Gamma?”

His words now making me pause. ‘He’s got you there Jake. I mean, you did say it was required,’ replies Vox as though he found my predicament amusing. A predicament I couldn’t fight my way out of either because I did say it was required.

The Academy specifically designed for all high ranking rulers 14 and older. Thus, we all had to attend until 18, unless you obtained enough credits to graduate early, a task in which I hoped to accomplish in order to return home to Tori.

“I’m sure we can find a way to work around it. But for now, don’t worry. You still have a whole 6 years ahead of you. Plus, not to mention, you need your wolf as well in order to attend,” I counter because that part was true. All high ranking wolves needed their other half before attending.

Tori’s face soon perking up. “Really?”

Nodding, I answer him back. “Yep, as the Academy helps us learn how to bond and work together as one. So until then, don’t worry about it.”

Tori soon looking as though he wanted to say something further or at least protest but doesn’t. My hands quick in packing the rest of my clothes as the Crimsoncrown Academy held dorms, the kind similar to human colleges but designed for the magical beings who attended.

People such as Witches, Mages, Dragons, Vampires and of course, people like me, the Werewolves. A place where everyone had to learn to co-mingle while learning how to become the future leaders we were all meant to be. Tori’s voice quick in reaching my ears.

“Will you at least call me? Write? Or maybe, I could come visit you? Like on weekends or special occasions? I mean, I’m sure mom and dad would allow it. That way I can see you.”

A smile soon quick to rise. “How about we start small and settle for calls and letters. Because as much as I would love to see you in person on weekends and special occasions, it’s not you I’ll have to worry about when visiting. It’s those who attend the academy.”

Tori suddenly blinking. “Why?”

My gaze soon locking to his. Tori suddenly cute even when sitting upon my bed. Even when a sigh rises and I slowly approach him carefully. My hand then gentle when cupping his chin, before lifting his face up to meet mine. My face then quick to lean forward, our noses barely touching.

“Because I don’t do well with sharing what’s mine Tori. And you, little one, are mine. Always.”

A blush suddenly rising. And though Tori was still young and naïve by most standards, there wasn’t a single ounce of hesitation along my voice. Because Tori was mine, ours, and once he was officially 18, only then would I finally lay claim to him. As would Zak and Alex. The three of us then becoming 4 and Tori my rightful Luna.

A new voice soon greeting our ears. “You know Jake… if you wanted to kiss him, you could’ve. Because judging by Tori’s blushing face, I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have minded it.”

Tori and I then both quick in pulling away. My eyes just turning in order to greet the person who entered the room only to spot Zak. A smirk gracing his lips as he leans casually along my doorway. His arms folded neatly along his chest, while Tori’s face burned brighter as he decides on studying his lap.

A growl instantly rising. “What do you want Zak?” My attention now fully on him. Zak just quick to move before entering the room before speaking.

“I came to see if you were almost ready to leave. The cars out front waiting for us,” admits Zak, his eyes softening when noticing Tori. Zak and Alex both well aware of how hard this was going to be when trying to leave.

Even as Tori’s blush then instantly fades the moment he catches Zak’s comment. The mood instantly shifting which then causes me to mutter towards Zak. “Nice going idiot.” My attention then quick in shifting towards Tori.

“Little one?”

Tori’s gaze soon finding mine. “Yeah?”

“Want to walk me towards the car? That way I can have a proper goodbye before we’re then whisked away to the Crimsoncrown Academy?”

A smile my only reply as Tori nods his head. “Yes. I can do that.” And then, with those as Tori’s words does he then scurry from the bed, before moving to stand directly beside me. Our hands quick to intertwine before the two of us then move to leave. Zak just grabbing my bags before following.

Alex already downstairs and currently waiting. Alex simply near the car, his arms folded like Zak’s as he continued to wait. His eyes soon spotting ours upon exiting the house. “About time. I was about to come searching for you myself, if Zak didn’t manage to find you first.”

“Ha, ha…”

“He was too busy making heart eyes at Tori, didn’t even notice me until speaking to them,” teases Zak as he moves to place my bags within the car. Tori just blushing again.

“Cute,” chuckles Alex when noticing the blush. Zak soon approaching as well, once the bags were finally all in.

“Definitely cute, but if we don’t leave now, we’ll be late in arriving and the High Elder will be angry with us,” admits Zak almost reluctantly. Neither of us wanting to go but knew we had to.

A groan my only reply. “Fuck.” My eyes then quick to find Tori’s. A look of pure disappointment now rising. A look I quickly notice before he attempts to shove it away.

“Little one?”

Tori quick to speak. “I should probably let you leave so the three of you aren’t late.”

Tori now trying to pull away, yet, before he can, do I then grip his hand tighter before pulling him close. Tori quick to stumble before falling against me. A yelp my only reply.

“JAKE!”

A chuckle soon rising. “Yes?”

“What are you doing?”

“This.” Then, before he could say or do anything else, do I then gently tilt his face to greet mine. Our eyes holding briefly even as Vox appears slightly and the two of us then lean forward and kiss the side of his lips before whispering softly.

“Mine Tori. Remember that.”

“Ours,” corrects Zak as both he and Alex both take turns in saying goodbye as well. Volt and Ash both present as well.

Tori’s face officially red once pulling away. “Okay little one, we’ll call you once the three of us get settled. For now, I leave Ambersky within your capable hands until our return.”

“…. Kay…” whispers Tori, even as Zak, Alex and I each give him one more final goodbye before the three of us then move to enter the car. The car then moving in the direction of Crimsoncrown Academy and we’re the three of us would be until we finally graduated.
