Chapter 89 Family Dinner
Liv bats her eyes at him, but he just extends a hand for her too. She takes it with a giggle. "Thanks Ricky. That skank shoved Charlie to the ground when she saw the damn poster," she simpers. "And that Anna chick? She was a bitch! She tossed all my clothes out of my bag and told me to pick them up myself!"
"Well, you won't have to worry about them anymore. I'll get Jeff to help you if you need to get your things put away. But now's not the time for it. How about I make you ladies some dinner?" he suggests, looking around to see our reactions.
Just the thought of food has my stomach grumbling. I know Rick took me out to eat earlier, but somehow I'm hungry again. I blush in embarrassment. This man is going to spoil me and I'm going to get fat at this rate!
Rick chuckles, "I guess that's a yes." He places a sweet kiss at my temple, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me in close. "I'm not finished with you, little dancer. Once your sisters are settled, I have every intention of finishing what we started," he promises.
A tingle runs through my veins, remembering just what we had started and being rudely interrupted from. I blush, and duck my face into his chest as he chuckles once again.
"Alright girls, time for the grand tour," he smiles wildly, making a grand motion with his arm. "You have no idea how happy I am right now. I've been in this place for a while now, and it's been so lonely," he mumbles into my hair, like loneliness is some sort of dark secret.
Rick showed us around the ground floor of the mansion. It was huge. "This room is the theater room. After dinner you two might want to check it out. Or there is the games room, right next to it," he points to a second room with a large window. There are a few game consoles hooked up to a large television, as well as a pool table, a card, table, and what looks like a whole bookshelf full of board games! "Jeff sometimes likes to hang out in here."
"There are a few other rooms on the other side of the mansion you may be interested in finding. You can go exploring the whole place after dinner," he teased. "There is an art studio, a music room, and even a dance studio. I've even got a small lab somewhere, along with an indoor pool, a gym, and a ballroom," he smirked as he watches our expressions.
He leads us down the central hall of this half of the mansion, pointing at different rooms, including an office, a library, a powder room, and even a 'living room' he called the 'great room', all the way to the back of the house.
"And down here is the dining room, and through the back door here," he leads us through, "is our kitchen!" he announces.
I gasp. The place is huge! You could feed an army in this place. There are two industrial size refrigerators and an island with a gas stove top. There are two double ovens, hell knows what we would use all four of them for. And a pantry bigger than the size of my old bedroom! Everything is stainless steel and dark marble. There are two dishwashers and a huge double sink, all polished to perfection. The cabinets are all varnished in dark brown, pulling everything together.
"I know, it's a little excessive, but it came with the mansion," he chuckled again, looking at our expressions. "You girls like burgers?" he suggests, moving toward the fridge and opening it up to see what we've got.
"YES!" Liv practically explodes in happiness. She could probably live on hamburgers and never get bored of them.
"That sounds great!" Charlie agrees shyly.
"Great! Who wants to help?" he asks, holding up a few items to prep our dinner.
And that is how Rick got all us girls to help him make a dinner fit for a family. He did the grilling and Olivia made a salad. Charlie worked on the buns, and I worked on the condiments. I don't mind working, especially when I'm not the only one doing it. It was actually really fun to make dinner like this!
And for the first time in years, I sat down with my family and had a pleasant meal.
