Sanctum of the Broken

Banished. Branded. Bound to a creature of shadow. Liora, a Lightborn healer sworn to sanctity, is exiled from the sacred Choir after breaking the First Commandment of her order: Do not touch the darkness. Her crime? Healing a dying enemy: a shadow beast feared by all, a man named Kael who should have been her undoing. But when her light touched his wound, it didn’t burn. It bonded. Now, marked by a soul-scar that glows with forbidden power, Liora must flee into the crumbling districts beyond the city’s veil. There, in the ruins where light fades and myth still breathes, she must choose: surrender her gift… or use it on those her people would rather see forgotten. Kael walks the edges of that world. Dangerous, hunted, and not entirely what he seems. He remembers the healer who defied death to save him, and the mark she left on his soul. As war brews, Liora and Kael are bound by something deeper than fate… and more dangerous than prophecy. Their bond was never meant to exist. But some lights only awaken in the dark.
