Chapter 65: No Loyalty Among Rogues

Chapter 65: No Loyalty Among Rogues
Dominic Storm's POV:

"Wait, wait a moment! Don't you want to hear what I have to say first before you let your wolf ravage me?!" The rogue called out to my wolf this time.

I could feel it as Drake continued to close the distance, taking one step at a time as he continued to snarl at the rogue in the grasp of my Warriors. I could feel that even the fact that this rogue's huffing his breath was causing it to start to get under the skin of my wolf.

As Drake got even closer, his height started to tower over this arrogant rogue who dared to tempt him with his words. "She's going to hear about this, you know?"

"Who?" Beta Orion asked him as he approached, standing next to my wolf. "Tell me, how are we going to be able to hear about this if you are dead?! And you will show the Lycan King some respect!"

Upon Beta Orion saying that, Drake snapped his jaws as he snarled even more at the rogues in front of us, causing them to flinch in the grasp of my Warriors. That's when my Beta started speaking again, not even having to look in Drake's direction.

"Your life hangs in the balance as it is now. Only after you tell us this piece of information can I have the words verified. That is, if My King allows you to stay among the land of the living after we determine if you are telling the truth or not."

By this point, Drake had stopped walking in order to allow Beta Orion to have this short conversation with the defiance of the rogue. It was taking everything in my power to keep Drake still as I wanted to hear what he was going to say. Although Drake was still snarling at the insolence, and continued to receive disdainful looks from this one particular rogue. The other captured rogues were at least showing they knew who was in charge here. Only one tried to stand his ground, despite the fact that he was still in the grasp of my Warriors.

"You had better not say anything," spouted the other rogue as Drake turned to look at him when he barked and continued snarling even more fiercely than before, before turning back to look at the rogue in front of us.

"And why is that?" Beta Orion questioned the other one as the warriors who held the other rogue in their grasp shook him, violently but briefly, to get him to respond.

"Why should we tell the likes of you?" The second one spouted again. "There's nothing you can do to us that she won't do worse."

"Oh? Is that so?" Beta Orion asked whenever he turned to look at Drake, it even made Drake relax his jaw whenever he turned to look over at our Beta.

At this moment, Drake dropped his nose toward the ground slightly as he continued to look at Beta Orion, before he slowly turned his head back to look at the second rogue in front of us. Right then, another Warrior came up to stand behind the second rogue.

He had no idea someone came up to him until they placed one arm around his neck and the other arm underneath one of his arms in order to hold him still. He called out, struggling when the Warrior standing on that side stretched his arm out and held it straight out so that Drake could access it with ease.

"Are you sure you don't want to have the other member in your pack speak up and reveal the news that you are telling him to keep to himself?" Beta Orion asked the second rogue, taunting him if you will.

Drake then maneuvered himself to stand at a position that was located between the first and second rogue. With one quick motion, Drake lunged towards the bare skin on the rogue's arm that was between his elbow and his wrist. The second rogue called out in pain as Drake's jaw bit down onto the soft flesh of his arm, making sure to use his teeth to hold his arm still, but he had yet to break the surface of the skin. I was actually surprised at the amount of self-control Drake was exhibiting, considering the situation we found ourselves in.

"You do realize, this particular wolf has the ability to injure you without exhibiting much force, and he can tear your arm clean off, right?" Beta Orion asked the first rogue as the second one continued to groan in pain.

He was pulling against the grip of my Warriors, who held him in place, as the one standing behind him, his arm still tightly wrapped around his neck, which left him little room to adjust his position. Well, other than the fact that his arm was still locked in Drake's jaw. He could barely move his arm, as I am sure the circulation was starting to be affected, and he could feel it, which was making him struggle even more in their grasp.

Then he painfully looked over to the first rogue who had yet to reveal what it was that he started to say, but stopped previously. I knew that Drake was toying with him, as it would not take much effort at all to sever his arm. That's when Orion continued, when he added, "You had better start talking if I were you. All because..."

Beta Orion suddenly stopped talking right then as Drake started to dig his teeth deeper into the arm of the rogue. In a way, he cried out in pain, interrupting Orion, and that's the first time I saw the first rogue flinch as if he could feel the pain that Drake was causing. In addition to that, once Drake's teeth broke through his skin, it would be a whole lot harder to control himself once he tasted blood.

This time, Beta Orion didn't stop talking as he continued, despite the second rogue's continued to cry out in pain. "A Lycan wolf's blood lust is not comparable to any mere werewolf. I think I need to tell you that. And I would hurry up on your information if I were you. I don't think your pack member is going to last much longer, as this particular wolf's patience is growing thin."

Drake flexed his jaw, applying even more pressure on the rogue's arm, causing him to cry out even more, even lowering his head down low in front of himself, as the Warrior who stood there behind him made sure to hold him there in place.

"Do you rogues not have any loyalty among yourselves?" Beta Orion questioned. As he looked among all of the rogues who were held in the grasp of the rest of the Warriors standing there in the area, "Do you not care if one is about to be ripped to shreds. He can do that, you know?"

"Talk, just tell them what they want to know," the second rogue cried out in desperation. "We're all dead anyway. There's no way this wolf will let us live after this."
