Chapter 181

Chapter 181

Opal flew into a rage, glaring furiously. "Nonsense! Say that again and see what happens."

"I'll say it again if I want to. You think I don't dare?" Eugenie casually grabbed a glass and threw it at Opal's feet. "Tomorrow when I go to the police station to complete my statement, I'll definitely emphasize to the police to investigate thoroughly—whoever they find, arrest them."

Bianca guiltily looked away. Ewan's self-respect was challenged, and he angrily raised his hand to strike.

Not only did Eugenie not dodge, she actively moved forward, provocatively speaking. "Try touching me. Nicholas is right outside. I just need to shout, and he can come in. If you don't believe me, try it."

Ewan's hand stopped with its momentum just inches from her face. Victor, not believing it, walked to the window and pulled back the curtain for a look. His previously skeptical face instantly filled with panic. "Dad, stop! There really is a car parked outside our gate. This crazy woman is telling the truth."

Ewan glanced outside with vicious eyes. His suspended hand reluctantly lowered, and he sat back down, suppressing his anger.

Having won this round, Eugenie leisurely sat down on a clean sofa, provocatively sweeping her gaze across everyone's ugly expressions.

She deliberately displayed her injured right hand before everyone, unhurriedly saying, "As you can see, I'm injured—all thanks to you. Tomorrow, when I give my statement, if I accidentally embellish things, how many years do you think Kenna will be sentenced to?"

Bianca ultimately cared about her daughter and couldn't sit still first. "What exactly do you want?"

Eugenie remained unmoved, continuing on her own. "How many years doesn't matter. What matters is when she's released after serving her sentence, marriage won't be easy. After all, respectable families won't want a daughter-in-law with a criminal record. Don't you think so?"

Under the banner of thinking of family, she ruthlessly stabbed at Bianca's heart. Seeing Bianca angry but not daring to speak, her mood was exceptionally good.

Ewan was more composed, knowing that in the current situation, Eugenie was key—they couldn't tear off the mask now.

"What do you want? State your conditions." Ewan actively conceded with a dark face.

Eugenie showed no restraint, instead pushing further. "We're all family—what conditions? If you want me to relent, show your sincerity. You don't have much time left, my dear father."

Though she said this with a smile, it gave people an inescapable bone-deep chill.

She calmly stood up and casually dropped a line. "By the way, does Mr. Mason Grayson know about this?"

Everyone except Opal froze at these words. Eugenie had her answer. "So he doesn't know! Now that's interesting."

Eugenie walked out of the living room unscathed. Even as she climbed the stairs, she didn't forget to pressure those below to make a choice. "Don't think letting Kenna be the scapegoat solves everything. If she finds out you don't plan to save her at all, I can't guarantee she won't expose you all. Time is running out, everyone."

Eugenie returned to her room. Just as she was about to close the door, she heard the sound of things being smashed downstairs, mixed with several curses. It must be quite lively down there. She locked her door, walked to the window, and pulled back the curtain. From the window, she could see a car parked outside the gate.

Through the lowered car window, she could see Nicholas in the driver's seat, focused on his phone. He was persistent—he really hadn't left.

The distance was a bit far. Eugenie was about to go find her phone when, perhaps through telepathy, Nicholas turned to look in this direction.

She leaned out to wave at him. Nicholas returned the same gesture.

The next second, her phone rang. The caller was him.

She answered and put it to her ear, hearing his low concern. "How is it? Did anyone bully you?"

"Don't worry. Everything's under control. I'm already safely back in my room. You should go back and rest, too."

Seeing she was fine, Nicholas breathed a sigh of relief. "Then rest well. I'll pick you up tomorrow."

This time, Eugenie didn't refuse but agreed. After resolving this matter, perhaps she should also look forward.

After saying goodnight, she hung up first, watching his car leave before closing the window. She took some clothes and walked into the bathroom, struggling through a bath before lying down to rest.

The next day she slept until she naturally woke and went downstairs for breakfast. The living room had everyone present. She had no obligation to greet them and turned to walk into the dining room.

The living room was spotless. She'd thought she'd come down to see a mess everywhere—what a pity.

Unaffected, she happily enjoyed her breakfast. A heavy pressure permeated the living room beside her. Everyone looked at each other, no one willing to speak first.

After Eugenie finished breakfast and changed clothes, coming downstairs and passing through the living room to leave, Victor, extremely reluctantly, stood up to stop her.

"What is it?"

Victor stammered, as if making a tremendous decision, going all in. "I'll transfer my company shares to you."

When Eugenie previously entered the company, she relied on the portion her mother Delta had left her. The bulk of shares wasn't in her hands, which is why Ewan and Bianca calculated together to risk little for big gains.

They thought she'd be overjoyed and let it go without pursuing it, but seeing her completely calm face, she'd clearly anticipated this.

Eugenie readily accepted, but what she wanted was far more than this. "Not enough sincerity. Keep thinking."

Finishing, she turned to the entryway to change shoes. Bianca gritted her teeth and added, "Kenna's too."

"Still not enough." Eugenie didn't entangle with them, turning to leave.

Originally, Ewan had said company shareholders didn't accept him and pestered Delta to take most of her shares. When Kenna and Victor came of age, Ewan divided some of his shares between them, but he still held the majority.

To gain absolute authority in the company, Eugenie naturally wouldn't back down. She wanted them to have no chance of counterattacking in the future—she wouldn't be stupid enough to leave them breathing room.

Nicholas was punctual, waiting in the parked car early. When she came out, he promptly got out to open the passenger door for her.

"You're in a very good mood today." As soon as he picked her up, he sweetly complimented her.

Eugenie didn't deny it. "Naturally. I'll soon be able to get all of Mom's things back."

Getting in the car with Nicholas, she wasn't in a hurry to go to the police station. "Drive the car forward a bit. Don't appear within sight of the villa. We still have time."

As she spoke, she pulled out her phone and edited messages to send to each of them separately. Nicholas watched the whole process from beside her, his focus not on the phone but on her. "What do you want to do?"

Eugenie held up her phone screen toward him. "Of course, pressure them to make a decision quickly, before things change."

Nicholas glanced at the phone's contents, his fingertips tapping the steering wheel. "I have experience with this. In my opinion, they won't hold out long."

"That would be just perfect."
