Chapter 57 - Agreement

Fiona's POV.

“Wait a second, what is actually happening? What's going on here right now?” I asked, staring right at both of them.

'How would Jeremy be working hand in hand with this witch? Such a good thing for nothing?’

“I am going to have everything explained to you, you just have to let me do that, I have no intention of hurting you or whatever.”

Jeremy stood with his hands now in his pocket while he walked towards her.

“I want to first and foremost apologize for not telling you about Gladys all these while.”

“Jeremy you've hurt me.”

“Fiona I…”

The whole thing became so boring and time-consuming for Gladys who got up and scolded angrily.

“Fiona, let's settle this once and for all! Okay, I don't think there's anything to explain here, he owes you no apology. First of all, there's no reason to blame the old man, I had him discovered a few weeks ago and had him threatened not to tell you about me, he's innocent of your stupid accusations if he had spilled a word, he'll be dead by now, I Made a binding ritual on him and that went a long way in taking me into the citadel, thing is, we don't have much time, all we have to do right now is looking for a way we could avert this whole shit you, Susan has caused. Like I warned you not and never to accept that invitation and now you'll have to go an Alpha or Luna don't go back on their word here in DarkVille.”

“So you're saying you actually bewitched him?” I asked, almost furious.

“Fiona, you know your problem? Unlike Isabel who was the villain, yes, I could skin her alive but at least she has something unique you don't and would never have, DECISION. If Isabel would want to go for a kill, she goes for it, if she wants to have mercy, she does, and she knows when is best to act.”

“Gladys you must be out of your goddamn mind, you had the guts to use your powers on him? And make him do things against his will?”

“Look Luna, funny enough, we both want the same thing, isn't it? You want Asher and Cassy dead, and I can help you achieve that. I want Isabel dead, and possibly any other who tries to get in my path including Devan, so? What's the fighting for? Lately, we discovered Susan is having an evil plan alongside her gang to assassinate you and here you are trying to look for blame instead of fixing the problem.”

“Gladys you killed innocent people, you killed Kouvou, Christo's Nephew and he had vowed to have you executed on sight.”

“That's if he would get close enough.”

“Don't underestimate the power of a werewolf, Gladys, not even when it's a pack that's involved.”

“Fiona I've dealt with the DarkVille pack for a long time now, trust me, I would never be without guard, you have no idea what I'm capable of.”

Jeremy, seeing how the whole thing went, stepped into the argument.

“Don't you guys see this woke thing is turning into something else? We have to come together and agree as a team, In less than three days the party will be here and we haven't even had a plan yet, please, let's focus on this first, we all know Susan has played the good girl to win her over and but we have no idea whom she works with or for nor the extent they have gone in this.”

They both made sense to me but I wasn't still pleased with Gladys.

“Uncle, weren't you the one who told me not to go close to Gladys or help her out of the cell? You acted like you hated her or something?”

That had Gladys shocked and she sprang up.

“What? Jeremy, you mean you told her not to help me in jail?”

“Gladys listen, I was so scared of you, you had me tied in a binding spell once so, what do you expect me to do? You can't blame me that much, you're dangerous and you know it so don't try to act so nice here, you're here with me because of the spell else I would never let you into my home.”

“So this is how this whole thing ends huh? We all turn against ourselves in the long run, right?” Gladys said looking so disappointed at Jeremy.

I grew so tired of the whole thing and resolved to have to leave with all the going now though I wanted Glad out of the team..

“Guys!”

They both turned to me in the middle of their argument.

“I think we should come together as a team to have this whole shit resolved once and for all. We do not need to fix blame just like Gladys said, Susan has a team and I am sure of it.”

“Not just being sure, I saw her team once in the restaurant downtown, she, Callister, and some other guy whom I suspect to be a werewolf from Hilton, maybe, but he's assuredly a werewolf,” Gladys added and took over the whole plan.

“Fiona, where is the party taking place? And wait a minute, why are you and Devan so important in this case, a common birthday party?”

“Gladys, it isn't just an ordinary birthday party, it would be held in Hilton.”. I replied.

Jeremy, who was older and more knowledgeable, continued.

“It's a relative of Devan, his name is Noble. He got married to Calli's cousin, Renice. They are on good terms with the Lucas Family.”

“Hmm, I see, well from all I do know as a witch with the little experience I've had, I think they would try to have you kidnapped, or possibly poisoned to death, the Hilton wolves as I know aren't so good in battle and are few in number so a possible attack may not be their plan since the Luna isn't to step out of the cave without guards, they know you would be heavily guarded so chaos isn't an option, I think the intend luring you into something, maybe a trap and then have you kidnapped and taken away to be slaughtered.”

“Hmm, how come you know so much about the Hilton wolves, Gladys?”

“Because my ex-boyfriend is from that land.”

“I am sorry about that, so far I think we should come together and deduce a plan to match that from them or counter theirs.”

I said turning to the both of them now.

“Hmm, I see, so they want a guest for the party right?”

“Of course,” I added.

Gladys smiled now.

“Then let's give them one.”
