Chapter 2139 2149

Chapter 2139 2149
Back when they crossed paths in the underground palace, he clearly remembered that Liam was only a Half-Step Flame Decay master. By the end of their time down there, he had just scraped the peak of the Half-Step Flame Decay level!
A month later, he went to war against the four major families of Phoenix City.
To the Eight Great Clans, powers like the four families of Phoenix City weren't even worth a glance—mere ants in their eyes—and Liam had still struggled quite a bit back then.
Yet mere days after that, Liam had already broken through to the Permanent-Tier.
This rate of progression and elevation was simply too fast, far too fast.
"At this speed of rise, I'm afraid... Drax is going to lose his grip," Ansel sighed softly. "Liam, oh Liam, even though you've reached the Permanent-Tier, you lack a real foundation. You might be strong on your own, but Phoenix City is still quite fragile!"
"You should have kept a low profile. With the speed you're growing at—let alone openly provoking Soul Hall and the Vampire Clan—anyone among the Eight Great Clans is bound to be wary of you, myself included," Ansel muttered, shaking his head with a sigh.
With that, he summoned a subordinate. "Head to the Underworld, deliver the news that Liam has reached the Permanent-Tier, and inform the Music Master that Soul Hall and the Vampire Clan have joined forces and are preparing to attack Phoenix City."
"Yes!" Below, the subordinate acknowledged the order and immediately departed!
Ansel tapped his fingers against the armrest of his chair a few times, his gaze shifting to a different piece of intelligence.
"Yasmin is the Prophet!"
This piece of information had been sent back directly by Archie, confirming that the rumor was absolute truth.
"The Prophet..." His fingers kept up their rhythmic tapping before he slowly closed his eyes. No one could tell what he was thinking!
The Nations! The Imperial Garden!
The Empress stood by the edge of a serene lake, a calm expression on her face as she casually tossed fish food into the water.
"Your Majesty!" At that moment, a figure drifted down silently from behind and bowed. "The Vampire Clan and Soul Hall have formed an alliance with the intent to launch an assault on Phoenix City, and they are requesting the Nations to dispatch troops!"
The Empress's delicate brows twitched slightly. "How is the Underworld Palace reacting?"
"They have already recalled their joint coalition forces, determined to wipe out Liam," the subordinate replied. "This subordinate requests permission to go to battle!"
"Go to battle?" The Empress turned her gaze toward him. "For what reason?"
"This fellow Liam is petty, vindictive, and wildly arrogant. Just because he broke through to the Permanent-Tier and held a grudge against Soul Hall, he turned around and slaughtered Caleb and Starling. This goes far beyond just a personal feud with Soul Hall," the subordinate argued earnestly. "Furthermore, his growth rate is terrifyingly fast. As the host of the Dragon Bone, who knows? He might just be the next Geralt..."
"Why did Caleb appear on Promise Island in the first place?" the Empress asked softly.
The subordinate froze for a second before shaking his head. "Unknown!"
"Liam arrived on Promise Island, and Soul Hall promptly moved in to hunt him down. Soul Hall's two elders brought that fate upon themselves—their deaths can only be blamed on their own foolishness," the Empress stated calmly. "As for destroying him... when all is said and done, he is still a disciple of the Music Master!"
"He reached the Permanent-Tier in such a ridiculously short span of time. If we give him any more room to grow... nobody can predict what level he'll attain, and by then, the Eight Great Clans..." the subordinate said, voicing deep apprehension.
"Between him and the Underworld Palace, which one poses a greater threat?" the Empress countered.
"Naturally, the Underworld Palace! Though he possesses the Dragon Bone, he hasn't completely matured yet. He cannot be compared to the Music Master," the subordinate admitted.
"Then why needlessly make another enemy?" the Empress said smoothly. "Our only true enemy is the Underworld Palace. As for Liam, let's observe and wait. Not every host of the Dragon Bone harbors ambitions of ruling the world."
"Your Majesty, if we just—" Seeing her refusal, the subordinate's expression shifted in panic!
"As for Soul Hall and the Vampire Clan... let them do as they please. If they successfully wipe out Liam, then that's simply his destiny. We... will simply choose not to get involved!" the Empress declared coldly. "Do not bring this matter up again!"
With that, she scattered another handful of fish feed across the water and raised her gaze to the skies above.
In any case, the news of Liam achieving the Permanent-Tier was spreading like wildfire, reaching virtually every major faction across the Myriad Tribulation Star.
With Liam hitting the Permanent-Tier and his wings finally hardening, most people concluded that his rise was now an irreversible trend.
Meanwhile, along the highway stretching from Falling Phoenix Mountain to Phoenix City, a heavily armored hover-vehicle accompanied by hundreds of figures was advancing at a steady pace, heading straight for Phoenix City.
A wild-looking man bounded around energetically, a grin of pure excitement plastered across his face.
Kate glanced at him with a cheerful smile. "Hey, savage, stop darting all over the place and get back here! We're almost at Phoenix City!"
