Chapter 161
Lorraine stood up from the position she was squatted to. Avon already went after Charlotte like he said.
He could hear Kory’s voice shouting meters away and Charlotte trying to shut her up.
“You’re not getting away with this, whatever it is that you just did to me. Give me back my body you piece of a useless shit!” She heard Kory’s voice yelling at Charlotte.
“Fine bitch.” Charlotte said and that was the end of their shouting.
Avon hastened his footsteps rushing to the direction he heard then shouting from only to see they were gone.
Still looking around for them his eyes landed on Finn who creeped out from nowhere standing behind him.
Avon almost jerked, “Finn.” He called a little weird out by his sudden appearance.
“Where were you? How did you? It doesn’t matter, when you did you come back?” Avon took some steps backwards before inquiring.
Finn smirked, a dark edgy one that has Avon squinting his gaze at him.
“I came in not too long, I was looking for you.” He responded, his voice finalizing Avon’s guess about something different with Finn.
He doesn’t seem like himself, his suspicion played wild expressing on his face as he stared back at him trying to read him.
Avon had no choice than to tap into his powers, he already figured something shady about him. The Finn he knew won’t talk to him without his head bowed, and nothing never would give a blank response that wasn’t attached with respect.
He looked at him dead in the eyes, Finn staring back unfazed with his hands held at his back; a smirk still laying on his lips.
“Who are you?” Avon’s expression squeezed into confusion and curiosity from what his vision saw looking into Finn’s identity.
It was all gone, his memories, his thoughts, everything was blank. He could access it, but there was nothing to assess.
“I am General. I just came to let you know that the job is done, the Parkers family are officially no more except for those you left alive.” He said to him, bowing his head before moving to the side and walked away.
Unbeknownst to Avon, Finn had read his suspicion, interpreted it and used his dark powers to access his thought to know the reason why he was suspecting him.
Therefore, he address him with the usual title and court his words with respect.
Kory came out of a room on the left row of the passage that leads downstairs, looking left and right she saw Avon on the right side with his back turned.
She leaped her feet into a soundless motion as she broke into a run going downstairs, she ran straight to the maid quarters requesting for one of them.
A maid attended to her and she took her to somewhere straight, then she said the exact same words she said to Charlotte that made the both fell to the ground.
The maid immediately sat up from the ground with a smirk on her face, Kory still sleeping on the floor unconscious. She had switched souls with the maid now and returned Charlotte’s body to her.
She already made it known and even if she keep her body, she would be suspected and that is the least she wanted to go on with her plan.
She stood up, “I just have to get rid of my body and the soul inside now, I can’t have her raising suspicions again.” She said in her new voice as she dragged the body deeper into the corner where she had took her.
Kory in her new form left the premises, going straight to the kitchen. She met a lot of people there gossiping about the ongoing drama at the house.
“I mean she’s not only dramatic but a witch. I’m telling you, she’s in love with the General and would do anything to chase Ms Lorraine from her husband house. I hate her so much, I wish Ma’am Lorraine really killed her.”
Kory said nothing hearing the spiteful words getting spew about her. She went to the counter obtaining a tray, then walked to the fridge where she took three apples rinsing them into a bowl and placing it on the tray.
“Hey Melinda, where are you going with that?” A woman called out in her direction, her question seeming to be met for her.
‘Eww, so this girl’s name is Melinda.” She gagged in her mind.
She turned around with a fake smile on her face, “For Lo- For Mrs Lorraine. She request me to bring them not quite long. Oh least I forget, the knife.” She came back taking a knife out of the set.
“Okay, when you’re done I need you back in here with us there’s a lot of work to get done for tonight’s dinner. We have waste a lot of time. ” The old woman said to her before returning her attention back to the food she was preparing.
Kory smiled at her before bowing and walking out of the kitchen. Out of their presence, she took one of the apples, taking a bite as she munched on it walking back to the corner she hid her body that had a different soul trapped in it.
“Hey there body, I will need you to be gone for awhile.” Kory said dropping the tray with her gently on the floor as she climbed over the body sticking the knife with her into her chest.
Blood spluttered out of the chest. She grinned in satisfaction, climbing off the body while removing the knife, her thumb ran over the knife’s surface before lacing on her tongue.
“My blood taste good actually.” She said to herself. “Now I just have to figure out a way to keep my body healthy. There should be a spell for that, I will have to contact Frank to contact the old man on that.” She bent down, wiping the knife clean on the clothes on her body before carrying her tray back up and walking out of the corner.
She walked out of the corner only to see Finn sniffing the air and approaching her. Soon, his gaze landed on her, both halting on their tracks to stare at each other.
