Chapter 158

Avon and Lorraine left the kitchen to go check on Kory to see if she’s packing her things and leaving like they wanted.

Arriving at the hallway they met Oscar who had on a forlorn expression and seated on the floor with his back rested on the wall.

Lorraine signaled for Avon to go on and check without him while she approached Oscar to ask what was going on with him.

His daughter is now fine, she’s very sure of it because it was her husband who healed her and made sure of that.

So she wondered in her head on what could have brought him back to expressing quite a wide shade of sadness on his face.

Avon didn’t went on like Lorraine had say, instead took a spot and stood there waiting for her.

Lorraine got to Oscar as she stooped to his position. “Uncle what’s wrong?” She asked in a tone laced with empathy.

Her palm reaching out to soothe his shoulder with some pats. “Nothing is going to happen to Faye again, she’s really fine now. Don’t bother yourself much about her, she’s okay.” She assured him in her soft tone, a small smile edging on her lips while her gaze fixed on him.

Oscar’s head lifted from facing the ground, his eyes were red which spoke of how much tears they must have secreted.

“I’m not worried about Faye, I’m worried about something else.” He said back to her, his sadness reflecting high on his voice as he spoke out with tottering frequency.

“What is that? What is the matter? What are you worried about?”

“I was involve-“

“I will talk to you later Uncle, I need to send out someone. You should get up and go clean yourself up in one of the guest rooms, you’re spending the night here so you should settle in. Let me go help you get my mom so she can help, don’t bother yourself too much, whatever is it that is bothering you, I’m pretty sure it is something we can work our way through and solve it. I will be right back.”

She said to him, interrupting Oscar as he was about spill the reason behind his sadness. Before he could say anything to stop her, she had stood up moving away from him and returning back to her husband who was standing few distance away from where he sat down.

Their gaze had collide and coldness he saw in his eyes made him looked away instantly. It was as though he could see through his deed just by their eyes meeting, and the mere thought of what he could do to him for coming at him once more whenever he already warned them to back off made his heart pound.

“I told you to move on didn’t I? Why were you waiting for me?” Lorraine inquired as soon as she got to Avon, smirking at him as she took his hand in hers and taking him away with her.

“I wanted to, I don’t want to go alone but with you so I waited. More importantly, I can’t wait for us to be done with this so I can have you privately in my arms, in my room with us getting tangled with each other.”

Avon caught up to her pace, bring her hand closer to himself and using his other hand to rub on it.

Upon their arrival at the room, the response Lorraine was about to give Avon got stuck seeing the door opened with Kory and Charlotte laid on the floor unconscious.

Lorraine pulled away from Avon at once jumping over to her mother as she vigorously tried to wake her, almost immediately her eyes snapped open.

“Mom are you okay? What happened?” Lorraine asked the moment her mother opened her eyes sitting up with her palm smoothing on her forehead.

“It is that witch bitch named Kory, tell your husband to get some guards and throw her out of this house instantly. I don’t want to see again, I thought she was different and is a good girl, but I obviously was wrong.” She pointed at Kory who was still passed out on the floor, leaving them all to wonder what transpired between the both of them.

However, Avon didn’t fail to notice the strange aura lingering around Charlotte. Something is not right, but her aggravation towards Kory at the moment didn’t give allow him investigate further and rather try to know what happened.

“Mom what happened? What did she do to you?” Lorraine asked once again, her brows furrowed with curiosity.

“I saw her running in here with tears in fucking her eyes. I actually pity the bitch and came to her trying to talk to her, she kept saying you’re bad person and I try to let her know that my daughter; the Lorraine I gave birth to is anything but a bad person. That seems to upset the slut as she said to me, like mother like daughter, then went on attacking me saying she was going to use me as a payment for what you did to her, the bitch tried to murder me. I defend hard and we fought quite the fight that led to us both passing out on the floor. She’s a real psycho bitch for real.”

Just after Charlotte’s explanation, a groan and as heard that sounded so heavy. All eyes immediately darted away from Charlotte moving to Kory who was on the floor, hee lashes flustered blinking against the attention focused on her before she became aware of her surroundings.

“You-“ Lorraine pointed at her trying to attack her, but stopped after seeing the way she started acting.

She was touching her face, touching her body, touching everything all over. “No no no no no no no, what have you done to me?” She cried out, with her question directed at Charlotte.

Lorraine and Avon stared with confusion, becoming more and more dazzled by the situation.

“What are you saying? Better get your things are move out of this house you crazy bitch! My daughter have had enough of your shits.” Charlotte latched back at her, hissing at the end of her words.

This seemed to have nudge a sense to Lorraine to see that something is strange about her mother. She looked at her, trying to see if anything is also strange about her disappearance.

Her mother is not a woman who strive on cuss words, but in a sentence since she woke up she had been saying that a lot.

“Kory what did you do to me? Why am I seeing myself but I’m not myself-“

“Alright I’m throwing the bitch out myself.” Charlotte stood up from the floor reaching forward to grab Kory’s arm.

She dragged on the arm pulling her outside with her.

Lorraine had no idea what is happening that had her on her knees in silence. She didn’t follow her mother dragging Kory out of the house.

“Do you want me to stop them because something is definitely weird and fishy?” Avon beseeched, seeing the frustration look that morphed upon the face of his wife.

“Yes, or just let her go. I don’t just get why my mom is acting strange or maybe it has always been but I never noticed.”

“I will go stop them.” Avon said turning around and walking out of the room in bid to go stop Charlotte from throwing Kory out of the house.
