Chapter 159
Faye walked in on the strange man rummaging for God knows what in her grandfather’s drawer.
“Who are you and what are you looking for?” She asked, announcing her presence with her gaze sizing the man up trying to read his appearance.
The man looked up from where he was, becoming aware of Faye’s presence as he brought up his hand that held a gun in it.
Corking the object he pointed it straight at her head. “Hands up bitch!” He instructed, his finger tugging close to the trigger.
Faye exclaimed with her expression as her lips parted in shock. Molten saliva liquid gulped down her throat as she slowly obliged to the man’s instruction.
“You’re not gonna scream and you’re gonna come in further.” He beckoned with the gun, Faye had no choice than to step in further approaching him where he stood.
“What is your name beautiful? Perhaps you can lead me to who I’m suppose to kill. I’m here for Charlotte Hales, and Oscar Hales.”
Faye kept her ears attentive, arriving at the front of the desk with her hands held up like he requested.
If she heard correctly he is here to kill her father and her aunt.
“I don’t know who they are, I’m just a maid here.” Faye replied him, bowing her head gaining the privilege to look below the man on the desk looking for any object on sight that could earn a defense towards the man in front of her.
“Oh pretty maid, what’s your name then. And how can you not know the two people I mentioned if you’re a maid here, are you lying to me?” The man easily sniffed out her lie, “And how can a maid be looking this well dressed with no uniform on.” He added, his suspicion becoming reasonable.
“I was on leave because I had to take care of my grandmother, and I lied about not knowing who Ma’am Charlotte and Sir Oscar is because you said you wanted to kill them, I know them very well but I haven’t seen them since I returned which was today.” Faye with bent head explained to him, smoothly composing the explanation it justified her lie.
“Oh well, you already know my secret. So either way of you being totally innocent and have nothing to do with this, I’m still going to kill you. I’m really sorry that your beauty would go to waste and wouldn’t save you.” He said, uttering the last sentence of his statement in a different tone that sounded flirty.
Faye got the hint of what he was insinuating, a smirk curling on her lips. A man’s desire can definitely be their end.
Faye looked up at him, staring at him with pure innocence on her face.
“If I understand you correctly, there is a way I can escape not dying by your hands? I would do anything, so tell me sir. I badly want to stay alive.” Faye said to him, going round the desk and approaching him in the side where he stood.
He smirked at her, a dirty smirk with his eyes falling over her chest as he stared with lust.
“I won’t kill you if you let me have a taste of you.”
“Over my rich drop dead gorgeous body fool.” She muttered breaking her act.
Faye was vigilant to his guard lowering and at once reached for the stapler on the desk in a swift smacking it on his head.
She smacked the stapler once more on his hand that held the gun, hence weakening it grip on the gun as it fell his hand.
Faye moved backward sending a kick straight into his stomach that had him falling straight to the floor with his body clattering against Lennox’s executive chair before he landed on the floor.
Faye took the gun he once possessed pointing at him. “Who sent you to come kill my father? Don’t play game because I lack the patience and I’m fucking brutal. So better start talking before I end your miserable life.” She said to him.
The man groaned from the floor where he fell to, he looked up at Faye really amazed by her defensive skills.
But he is a trained killer who is not going to lose to a girl, his stretched legs moved forward crapping Faye’s stance and sending her falling to the ground.
He rushed up from the floor as he made to reach for the gun in her hand but instead was hit in the face by it.
A punch landed on his jaw from the other side as Faye pushed him away creating some distance between them.
“Girl I don’t want to hurt you, if you think I’m scared of you cause you hold that gun. You better get your brain check, I’m a fucking assassin and I will give you one last warn to surrender or I will go all out on you.” He said as he regained his posture, standing up and taking an attacking stance.
“Thanks for the heads up, I’m still opting for survival.” With that stated, her hand went up as she pulled on the trigger releasing a bullet targeted on him.
To her surprise he ducked, moving out of the way.
Faye released more bullets, she stopped seeing she was just making mess of the office. He dodged each and every of her hits.
Faye examined the gun, to know the kind of bullet it could contain.
The man stood straight chuckling out loud from where he stood unharmed by the gun except for the minor injuries already invented by Faye.
“What are you gonna do now, fight me. Good because I’m so ready to kill you.”
“No fucker.” Faye went on releasing more bullets knowing he would be distracted as she took the chance backing away from the office. She grabbed the door key from the desk where it was placed taking it along with her.
She successfully got to the door, pulling on the knob as the trigger became stiff.
Quickly she pulled the door closed, inserting the key and locking the man inside. A sigh falling out of her lips as she attained her plan.
She turned around to walk away only to see her two cousin brothers standing there with a paled expression except for Aidan who had no expression.
“What is that? What just happened or did I just hear happened in there?” Aiden questioned with pure confusion.
