"Bro, are you here?" He asked, stroking the back of his head, as Agatha smirked.
"Leave us alone, Agatha," Stephen instructed, and she shook her head unwillingly.
"No, I'm not; I came to spend some time with him now that he's here," she moans.
"I said out right now" His gaze was enough to get her to go right away, and she complained as she walked away.
"You don't have to do that," he remarked in his voice film.
"How come you make such a certain decision?" How do you conceive her? Tell me all I need to know right now' His query was delivered with a solemn expression. Beta Khan was silent, the strange quiet was strong, and Stephen couldn't stop shooting him a menacing gaze.
"I'm no longer a child; I can make my own decisions." That shouldn't be a problem, do you think?" His comments came to him as an insult.
"WOW! So you believe you are now mature enough to manage things on your own that I have no right to know when you decided to marry?" His voice echoed loudly.
"You know, Stephen, we don't have to get to this. You've always persuaded me to marry, and now I am.ready. Was that meant to be an issue? At least you're aware, but did I really need to explain? It's my life, and I'll make my own decisions, and it's not even like you always told me you decision. You're always surprising me, so I guess I did the same. We shouldn't waste our energy arguing; why don't you use it to prepare for the marriage? He said this without looking at him.
"But we both know Benita isn't the right woman for you; she's a toxic woman." He paused, abd speaks further. "Don't you know her mother was the one who murdered her stepmother because he wanted the husband? "Did you forget about this?" Concern for his sibling permeated his voice.
"We don't have to pass judgment on her based on what her mother did. Her name is Benita, not her mother. She should not be penalised for her error. Furthermore, why are you disputing this lady about him carrying my child"He gritted his teeth and hoped the argument would finish.
"I know you're lying; I've known you long enough. When you're on your right, you'll always look me in the eyes and challenge me. But the fact that you are looking away and coming to me indicates that you are concealing something" For the umpteenth time, he gulps nothing.
"Don't always act this way. I think I'm now facing you in the eyes and telling you straight in your face that I'm fine." He made a fist and clenched it.
"Are you trying to save Alpha Xander?" I'm sure you're trying to keep him safe. I understand how much your devotion to him means to you, but the truth is that you should reconsider.it." He said it coming to a conclusion, like he knew all their plans. Beta Khan burst into laughter.
"One thing that's very funny about you is that you always jump to conclusions without further investigation. We aren't hiding anything; this is the truth right in front of you. The earlier, the better you accept it, Beta Khan said hesitantly.
"Even since you've become the second in command, you've grown some wings. But you forget, I trained you to this level after our father passed away." His voice was laced with anger.
"I will never dispute the fact that you are an amazing and strong brother, but you have to start trusting me. That's the issue here; believe me when I say I am good. But you always think your decision is final; you can't make a decision for me, just like you shouldn't be forcing your decision on Agatha. There's more explosure now than before" he said with a tone of finality.
"You make decisions for yourself, not my daughter; you can do as you wish, but don't expect me to be present in your wedding to that type of girl; when you choose another mate, you can consult me." He left his room angrily. And he gulps down his lumps.
"That was close; he's so smart to know we are concealing something. Oh, maybe I forgot my brother knows me too well." He sat on the couch tiredly, confused about what to do and how to make him understand. He never wanted to be rude, but things turned out that way, plus he's his brother and won't stay angry with him for too long. Agatha walked in and went to sit beside him.
"You and your brother fought again as usual," she said, and she gulped down nothing for the umpteeth time.
"It's just a little misunderstanding; he should learn to respect my choice. I am not a kid anymore" Beta Khan replied, and she chuckled.
"You are right, but in this, I support him. You are making a very wrong decision, which might affect you in the future. He's so concerned about you. Even if you are truly the father of her child, like you claimed, you can just make him your baby mama without having to marry her. You are too good for someone like her." She sounded like her father, making him giggle.
"I am not sure if it's my cousin, the one I know to be a bully, who's saying all this, or if it's just a photocopy." He smirked, and she grunted.
"I am not a bully; I was just trying to earn some respect, so don't judge me when you aren't perfect" she hissed.
"You know what? I think we should end this topic here; I already have a lot going on in my head. I needed your help with something else." He said, and held her hand.
"What's that? She stared at him, trying to hold her curiousity..
"Teach me how to be romantic; you know girls love romantic things, and now that I am getting married, I need to know all these things" he said, his voice crackling.
"That's not possible; I don't accept this union, and I am not going to teach you anything." She said that and stood up.
"Ask me for anything—money, an iPhone, a car, a big house, or something more—and I can make it happen, but don't ask me to end this marriage." His tone was filled with sincerity. She stood on a spot, contemplating whether she should say it or not. Her heart is thrusting faster; maybe this is her chance; maybe the time has come to shake her fears off. Maybe it's time to tell him to end the hatred between the two families so she can be with her mate. She gulps down her lumps, biting her teeth. Suddenly sweating.
"Can you end the hatred between our family and... "she shutters shakily.
"Between who and wh" that's was his voice seeking.
"Our family and the Logan's, can you end the nemesis so we can all both live in peace and stay happy without any bad energy from each other?" She managed to gather the words that came out with her heart heavy. Beta Khan chuckled wryly.
"The same people who killed my father, you want me to end beef with them; why do you think I would want to do that? He tone demanding.
"Because you say you will make my wish happen, I am just tired of this hatred between these two families. I am asking you because I know if I ask dad, he's going to behead me instantly" She said her heart weary.
"But you need to know this can't happen; this family didn't think twice before killing my father, and you want me to end such beef. Never, I am not going to settle in for such. You can always keep the bad energy." His voice was filled with rage, trying to remain calm and not harsh on his niece.
",But it's becoming boring to me; I can't even spend time with my mate because of this so-called family beef. I am tired." She shouted at him, and he was surprised to hear that from her.
"What are you talking about? Who's your mate in that family? Wait, don't tell me Sam is your mate" He held her shoulders.
"Yes, he's. And we've been together for the past few years before I got into college back in high school. But we couldn't even announce it to anyone because of this." She explained, and he couldn't cover his amusement as he ruffled his hair.
"You have to break up with him; it's not going to work; it's only going to bring you harm in the future. I am sorry I can't help you out in this. Break up with him; you will find another guy who's not going to bring harm to you and your family. Those people are bad news." He tried to be neutral and not force her.
"And you think I would do that? It's not going to happen. I will fight for the sake of our relationship; screw everyone who doesn't want this beef to end, including you." She pointed a finger angrily at him and rushed out of his room.
"Agatha, you seem not to know how dangerous those families are, even if you and Sam love each other. They will never vet this union. It doesn't have a future." His voice laced with concerns and pity for his niece.
