SALLY

I walk out of the dungeon the same way I came in. The guards at the gate bow their head to me as I take steady strides outside the dark area.

They think it's Fred. A perfect cover for the night.

I take a path towards the garden and return back to my normal self.

Phase one of the plan has been completed. Asher won't know what hit him. When I'm done, everyone will know what true power is.

My father Jed was a notorious, tyrant ruler who was very thirsty for power but then, all leaders have their weakness and my father's weakness was my mother.

When he married his Luna after breaking things up with my mother, a witch who was banished from her clan due to her negligence, she found out that she was pregnant for him.

Jed forbade her from terminating the pregnancy. So she secretly carried the pregnancy because witches and humans cannot coexist. It was a norm that separated our worlds.

Mother died when I was born and after having my first shift as a wolf, father began his dirty work. He started using me to archive his goals. Although my wolf side was dominant, I also had the blood of my mother flowing through my veins which made me stronger than most changelings.

My father who discovered this, made sure that I was captured during one of Asher's raid and that was how I ended up as a slave in Asher's pack. I was the inside man that helped carry out his dirty tricks.

I even prepared the potion that was supposed to kill Asher but somehow, it didn't work. He didn't die. And when he went to attack my father's pack, I was surprised to see that he conquered him and brought him here.

I thought that my father would accept defeat but he didn't. He still plotted against Asher who was a fool for not killing him when he had the chance to.

Every night, I secretly go to see him. I gave him all the information he needed. That was when Alexia came into the picture.

I found out that the Beta had actually taken a liking to her and after our little discussion that day, I also managed to figure out that she was actually mated to both Asher and Fred.

My father was thrilled with the news and so we decided to begin our plan.

The day that she was summoned to Asher's room, I picked up an item from her room that belonged to her. It helped me shift to look exactly like her and that was how I managed to go into the dungeon and help father escape but I also made sure that the guards catches a glimpse of my face and that was how she ended up there.

With both brothers at loggerheads because of their mate, it'll be easier to come between them. Something that I look forward to. Father will win. I'll make absolutely sure that he does. No matter what happens this time around.

The view from the balcony is nice but I am not enjoying the serenity of the view.

I am waiting for the werewolf sentinels that were sent to search for Jed wherever he was hiding but he is doing absolutely well in staying hidden.

There's no trail, no scent, no nothing. If I didn't know any better then I would say that he had vanished into thin air but how is it possible? He's a wolf and our senses are supposed to be stronger but isn't it strange that we can't even figure out where he is?

I walk back to my desk and lower myself on the chair. I don't want what happened in the previous year to repeat itself. If Jed hasn't been found up until now then it only means that he is planning something bigger.

I need to destress and since my foolish mate has gone against me then Celine will do the trick.

The door to my chambers flies open and Fred walks in. He has this worried look on his face. I know that i have been hard on him but it's only because I do not want to loose him. He's the only family I have. Seeing him everyday gives me a reason to live and something to fight for.

"You sent for me"

"You visited Alexia last night?" I throw my chin up at him defiantly. He looks lost and confused like I've said something stupid that he doesn't understand.

"And why would I do that?" He retorts "You specifically asked me not to"

"Are you lying to me Fred? The guards told me that you went there to see her last night"

He throws his hands dramatically "I'll admit that I visited her but I never went to see her last night"

"So you did visit her?" I let out an angry growl.

"You're the Alpha king right so why don't you tell me that I'm lying then?"

"I don't like using my wolf senses on you and you know it"

"But you can accuse me falsely is that it?" He fires at me looking angry.

"I can tolerate when you do anything Asher but I certainly cannot take it when you call me a liar."

"What has gotten into you Fred?" I said through gritted teeth.

"I'm supposed to ask you the very same thing. I have never lied to you and you know it. Why would I do that now?"

He was right about one thing though. Fred doesn't lie. He always lived by the book but how is it possible that he's denying the fact that he didn't visit Alexia last night. What is actually going on?

"Fred"

"I am listening to anything that you have to say right now brother. You have crossed the line this time!"

And with that statement he storms out of my bedroom without looking back. Fred wasn't there? How is this even possible? Something is definitely wrong and I have a gut feeling about it.
