Redeeming Aaron

PTSD is a shitty side effect of being a soldier. It's also the reason he pushed me away, to protect me from his fucked-up brain. Will I see him again? I miss him, yet I want to strangle him at the same time. He is my broken soldier begging for redemption. Can I save him from his nightmares? *** What the actual fuck... I rubbed my finger over my lips as I watched him drive away. Heat pooled in my belly as I remembered the look in his eyes before he kissed me. Desire. Raw, naked desire shone in his eyes. Instead of answering my questions, he cupped my cheek with one hand, then captured my lips with his. The kiss is unlike any others before it. It was tender and my undoing. He owns me. *** Friends to lovers is an age-old trope but Aaron Carter has fought his love for one of his good friends and fellow soldiers for years. Why do you ask? Because he feels unworthy of her love, unclean by deeds of his past life as a soldier. His PTSD propelled him into seeking comfort in the arms of random women for years, extreme sports, gambling, and anything that gives him a way to block the nightmares that plague his sleep. Rylan Danvers is an ex-army surgeon turned physical therapist and she has been in love with Aaron for years. He has pushed her away one too many times and now she is determined to move on with her life. The irony is, now that she is determined to do just that, he is just as determined to woo her. Can they take that leap of faith? Follow Aaron and Rylan into their love story as they are bound together by their fiery desire and love for each other.
