Chapter 93: Winnie the pooh

Imogen pov

Back to the present! Adam was no longer at the dining table

"How are you feeling" I asked Adam's dad, he looked very healthy but soon he would have to go for a check-up

"I am doing fine and I am feeling better now that my grandkids are here," He said with a warm smile on his face

"Okay! But you know that you have to go for a check-up soon right" I said

"Yes, but there's no need for that, I am feeling perfectly fine" He responded

"I know but you still have to go for the checkup," I said

"Okay, whatever my doctor says, and soon you will be the Luna in this pack," He said and my face turned red

"Yeah, I know and I know that day would be amazing," I said but deep down my guts told me that it would be the opposite of what I think

"You are an amazing person Imogen and don't worry the moon goddess will guide you," He said and stood to his feet

"This old man needs to sleep now, we can continue this chat tomorrow," He said

"Good night my little angels," He said to the kids

"Good night Grandpa" They chorused

"Good night and please do not forget to take your medications," I said

"I won't forget," He said and made his way up the stairs and back to his room, the kids were still eating, they wanted to try everything on the table but that was nearly impossible

"I'm full," Sarah said

"Me too" My boys chorused

"Okay, let's get you ready for bed," I said as I stood to my feet, I finished eating my food a few minutes ago and I just stared at my children as they filled their mouths with the food on the table

I enjoyed every single minute that I spent with them. Damn! I didn't tell them that I was going to send my resignation letter to the hospital in the city tomorrow and start working in the pack's hospital

I didn't want to throw my dream away like last time. I made my way up the stairs with my children, We walked down the hallway and soon we were standing in front of their room door

I pushed the door of the room open and we walked into the room, they all ran to their beds and lay on it

"Read us a story," Billy said

"Yes Mom, please" The other two chorused

"OK, which book do you want me to read for you guys" I asked

"Winnie the Pooh," Billy said

"Okay" I responded and made my way to the shelf in their room, I browsed through the shelf and picked the book out of the shelf

"Are you guys ready?" I asked

"Yes" They chorused

"One day when he was out walking, he came to an open place in the middle of the forest, and in the middle of this place was a large oak tree, and, from the top of the tree, there came a loud buzzing noise. Winnie-the-Pooh sat down at the foot of the tree, put his head between his paws, and began to think" I read through the book and they quietly listened.

This was their favorite book and although each of them looked different books this was the one that they all liked. After reading for a few minutes, I lifted my head and realized that they were fast asleep

I chuckled and stood to my feet, I placed the book back on the shelf walked to each of them, and kissed their forehead, they looked so cute while they were asleep, each of them was lying on their bed

I sighed and switched off the lights in their room before exiting the room, I made my way to my room which was just a few steps away from their room.

I pushed the door open and made my way to the couch in the room, I picked up my phone and decided to unfollow Maxwell on all his social media accounts. I rested my back on the chair and I followed him in all his account

After sitting there for a few minutes, I stood to my feet and made my way to the window in my room, I looked out of the window and I could see the garden, Although my room was upstairs I could see the wonderful and divine aroma of the flowers

The moon was shining outside, it was a beautiful sight to behold. I stretched my arms and walked to my mirror, I stared at my reflection in the mirror and smiled, I imagined myself wearing the crown of the Luna on my head and everyone in the pack would ca me their Luna

I decided to go and check up on Adam, I thought we were going to spend this evening together because he has been bust since morning but I guess that I was wrong. I combed my hair and applied lip gloss, sprayed perfume on my clothes, and rubbed my lotion on my face.

I sighed and made my way out of my room to the kitchen, I made coffee for him and went back upstairs.

I was standing in front of his study room holding the coffee with my left hand. I knocked on the door twice and waited for a few seconds before pushing it open

There he was, sitting elegantly with his eyes fixed on the screen of his laptop.

"Can I come in?" I asked and he lifted his head to look at me

"Yeah, sure" He replied

"I brought coffee for you," I said as I walked closer to his desk, he looked so occupied and I knew better than to disturb him right now so I just gave him the coffee and left the room

"Okay, that was thoughtful, thank you" He responded with his eyes still fixed on his laptop

"Please leave it on the desk," He said
