Author's pov.

Agatha stared blankly at Athena, her mind clouded with unsettling thoughts as she wondered what Athena was scheming.

“You want the tame a rogue?” Agatha scoffed as she nodded her head in disbelief.

“How is that possible?” Nova's brows furrowed in curiosity as she exchanged glances with Agatha.

“If you are that curious, you should attend the meeting”. Athena replied coldly, as she turned to go.

“Wait” Agatha called after her. “Where are you going, aren't you doing the meeting?”

“We are taking a little break” Athena revealed. Her face was etched with anger.

“I suggest we leave that break, till after we are done because people like me have somewhere else to go to”. Agatha suggested.

“You can leave if you want to” Athena replied coldly as she walked away. Darla turned to Agatha, she was brimming with hostility as she glared at Agatha.

Agatha returned the glare as both girls stood locking eyes with each other, they were filled with resentment towards each other.

“We should go” Ella interrupted Agatha, breaking her glare.

“I was tired of this place anyway” Agatha revealed as she turned back to Darla's direction but she was gone.

“She left a while ago” Nova bolted out as she gestured for Agatha to follow her. Agatha nodded in agreement.

“Shouldn't we follow her?” Agatha asked, she asked soon as she left the meeting hall.

“Who should that be?” She scoffed.

“Darla” Agatha replied, her breath became heavy as anger flared through her bones.

“I would have suggested Athena, but that would have also been fruitless and a waste of time”. Nova explained as she hastened her steps.

“We need to find out what they are going to do” Agatha insisted as she halted.

“Besides taking a break?” Nova stopped as she turned back locking eyes with her. “They wouldn't try anything now, because they are smart enough to know that they would be trailed”. She explained as she turned to go but Agatha stopped her.

“We need to know who killed my mother” Agatha snapped, her fists clenched tightly beside her as she gritted her teeth.

“What are you going to do if you find out that they were actually behind your mother's death?” She eyed.

“Let's wait till that time” she frowned.

“Oh stop the big words” Nova scoffed as she rolled her eyes. “Look at your environment, nobody knows you here, you have no power, and you might eventually get the proof you need but all would go down the drain”. She revealed.

“You don't know me yet” Agatha defended as her face flickered to a gloom. “I am willing to do anything for my mother”.

“You are right, I don't know you, but you don't know anyone here either”. She hissed.

The two both fell silent as they took in deep breaths, Agatha's eyes were prickling with tears, and Nova could only feel pity for her.

“Agatha” Nova called softly as she placed her hand on Agatha's shoulder. “I know what you are going through but you have to trust me”.

“I don't know who to trust”. Agatha cried as she brushed Nova's hand away. “How am I sure you are not just using me?”

“I don't know how to convince you but I told you why I picked interest in your case, I want Athena to pay for everything she has done”.

“What if Athena is innocent?” Agatha asked locking eyes with her. “Would you still want to make her pay for what she has done?”

“If she is…” she paused as she licked her lips anxiously. “I would just see it as helping a friend, but you can be rest assured that I would never use you for selfish reasons,” she said with a reassuring smile.

Agatha stared at Nova, as she studied her expression but her facial expressions remained uncertain.  “If I find out you are using me, I promise I will kill you”. Agatha threatened.

“Very well” Nova nodded in agreement as she turned to go, and Agatha followed closely behind her.

They got to a big door as they halted in front of the door, Nova searched her purse for the key.

“Do you really have no idea of what Athena had in mind?” Agatha bolted out.

“Here it is” Nova muttered loudly as she brought out her eyes, fixing it into the door.  “Athena and I have never seen eye to eye ever since my mother died. So I have never seen it fit to visit her or attend her meeting”. She explained as she flung the door open.

“Do you hate her that well?” Agatha inquired as she followed her in, slamming the door shut behind her.

“If you ask me to lick my period or stay in a room with that bitch…” she paused with a scoff. “It is a clear choice, which I would follow”.

“My mother never talked about her”. Agatha shrugged as she slumped on the couch.

“First of all, I would like to say, I admire your boldness, you fear no one… which is good”. Nova revealed.

“I don't have any reason to fear anyone here”. Agatha rolled her eyes. “So what do you say you were going to tell me?

“Okay,” Nova said taking in deep breaths. “Before I say anything, let me first explain my theory on why you need me” She paused as she walked closer to Agatha.

“You might be the most powerful witch in this coven but you do not have any power in this coven”. She stopped as she locked eyes with Agatha.

Agatha's face flickered to seriousness as she clutched her hands on her chest.

“What are you trying to say?” Agatha frowned with a cold glare.

“Nobody knows you here” she added. “You need to get something that would make everyone fall to their feet…” Agatha cut her short.

“Something intimidating”. Agatha chipped in.

“Exactly” Nova nodded her head in approval. “Something that instills fear and respect in them”.

Agatha nodded her head as she bit her lips, her vision narrowed into a pinprick as she stared towards the wall,  she tried thinking of what could make her powerful enough but her mind kept drawing a blank.

“Dominic” Nova suddenly bolted out.

Agatha's eyes flickered to her. “What are you talking about?” Her brows furrowed in curiosity.

“Dominic is a name that instills fear in the coven” she revealed.

“What are you talking about?” Her face contorted with a mixture of confusion and curiosity.

“Dominic instills fear in this coven, everyone fears him, the last time he came here…” she paused as she shivered.

“I heard he killed many witches that tried to defy his power,” Agatha said.

“That wasn't the only thing he did” Nova's eyes widened. “But… the point is that Dominic is a rogue that isn't scared if anything, the witches need him more than he needs them”.

“That means they would do anything to keep him pleased” Agatha added.

“Are you still wondering why your mother wanted you to be his Luna by all means?” Nova smiled.

“Not really” Agatha shook her head. “But why does Darla want to marry him when she has a lover already?” Agatha frowned as her face was etched with a mixture of curiosity and irritation.

“What do you think they want?” Nova chuckled. “They want that power for themselves, imagine being the Luna of Dominic”.

“I have to tell Dominic” Agatha revealed.

“No” Nova bolted out. “Your mother fought all the way, so you can be the one to play the love games with him but now with her gone they still believe you are ignorant of the whole situation…” Agatha cut her short.

“An opportunity to reenter the game” Agatha frowned as she clenched her fists, anger thrummed in her veins as she could taste blood. “All the more reason to suspect they killed my mother”.

“You can use them to win this”. Nova explained.

“They would have to get rid of Kristen first…” Agatha paused as she covered her mouth. “They might want me to do the dirty work so they can blame me and then Dominic kills me” she gasped in shock.

Nova nodded in agreement. “That might be what they are planning but…” she placed her hand on Agatha's shoulder as she locked eyes with her. “You can use that against them”.

“I know” Agatha nodded in agreement. “If that is what the case is, I know what to do”. She said, her lips curled into a mischievous smirk.

“What do you intend to do?” Nova asked, her face flickering to curiosity.

“I can play along with both parties and still not play along, after all, I am still the victim”. Agatha smirked.

“What do you plan on doing?” Nova smiled.

“I just lost my mother and Dominic doesn't like it when he loses a member, and…” she paused as she walked away, her face contorted with mischievousness. “As they say, you can only get to a man through a woman”. She shrugged.

“I thought you said Dominic hates you already after what you did?”

“He does” Agatha shrugged. “But I wasn't talking about me, I was talking about Kristen”. She revealed.

Nova's mouth fell open.

“I will use Kristen to get back to Dominic and I promise those who underestimated me will be punished,” she said glaring at the floor, her face etched with a smirk. “Dominic will soon be mine, you just watch and see”.
