Chapter 169 Owe Him a Life
Terrence knew he was going to be angry again.
When that happened, neither of them would have a good outcome.
Bianca patted her chest lightly, then heard Barry say somewhat stiffly from the front.
"I'm afraid it's too late now, Mrs. Anderson."
"What?" Bianca was a bit surprised.
Barry coughed dryly, "Because Mr. Anderson is already here."
The car stopped halfway, and Bianca finally looked up to see the convoy ahead. Terrence was sitting on the hood of the front car, his cold gaze piercing through the window, seeming to land directly on Bianca, making her shiver.
After shaking hard, under Terrence's displeased gaze, Bianca finally opened the car door and crept toward Terrence at a snail's pace.
During this time, Terrence didn't move at all, just watching Bianca.
Bianca felt inexplicably guilty.
What she did was indeed a bit too much, though her intention was for Terrence's good.
Standing in front of Terrence, Bianca reached out and gently tugged at the corner of his clothes, "Terrence..."
Normally, if she called out so softly, Terrence would have softened long ago, but now his expression remained cold and hard. He suddenly grabbed Bianca's hand, then suddenly turned and got in the car.
Sitting in the car, Bianca felt like Terrence beside her was a block of ice, constantly radiating coldness.
She pressed her lips together, looking at Terrence, and finally gritted her teeth and decided not to speak either.
Then the coldness around Terrence seemed to intensify, making even the driver in the car shiver.
Barry's car followed behind the whole way. When they got home, Terrence and Bianca entered one after the other. Barry stood there and smoked a cigarette, finally deciding not to go in and stir up trouble.
After all, Terrence would definitely come after him about today's matter anyway.
Barry sighed helplessly and left without hesitation.
After the two returned home, they sat together on the sofa.
Bianca reached out and tugged at Terrence's sleeve again, "Terrence, nothing happened to me, right? You don't need to worry."
As soon as she finished speaking, she heard Terrence speak with restraint.
"Nothing happened? Can you guarantee that nothing will really happen?"
Bianca opened her mouth to speak, but hesitated, finally lowering her head in silence.
Because she really couldn't guarantee it.
Who could guarantee one hundred percent?
Seeing Bianca not speaking, Terrence said through gritted teeth, "Bianca, I've really given you too much respect, which is why you could hide this from me and do such a thing. Starting today, you stay in your room and reflect!"
"Terrence, I know I was wrong, but I was doing it for your good. After all, if you had gone, those people might have really taken your life. I... I just wanted to protect you."
Tears welled up in Bianca's eyes, but Terrence deliberately turned his head away, refusing to listen to a single word she said.
"Go to your room and reflect!"
Seeing that Terrence wouldn't budge, Bianca got angry too in that instant. She rolled up her sleeves and headed to the room, leaving Terrence alone in the living room light, smoking cigarette after cigarette until late at night, when Terrence finally entered the room.
He saw Bianca already asleep on the bed, her fingers lightly clutching the blanket, but not covering herself properly.
While sleeping, she was mumbling something in her dreams.
Terrence sighed, picked up the blanket and covered Bianca, making sure she wouldn't get cold, then put up his walls again and walked outside.
The next morning, when Bianca woke up, she instinctively reached to the side, only to find the bed beside her cold. Terrence seemed not to have come back all night.
She pressed her lips together somewhat helplessly.
Terrence seemed really angry.
After sighing, Bianca planned to properly coax Terrence, but when she went to open the door, she found it locked. Bianca felt deflated, but fortunately, her phone was in the room. She played with her phone all day in the room until noon, when she heard the sound of the door opening outside.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw Terrence carrying food.
Terrence said nothing, just put the food in Bianca's hands, and was about to close the door again.
"Terrence, you should have calmed down after a whole night, right? Nothing happened to me, and I know I was wrong."
"You know you were wrong, so will you do it again next time?" Terrence stared at Bianca, as if he must get a satisfactory answer from her.
Bianca was silent for a while, then said without hesitation.
"I'll do it again next time."
Terrence's expression got even worse. Ignoring Bianca's desire to leave the room, he locked the door again.
The moment Bianca heard the door lock, her heart felt empty, and tears kept flowing.
"Terrence, you can't keep me locked up at home. Open the door." Her voice was somewhat breaking down, but all that greeted her was Terrence's footsteps getting farther and farther away.
In the afternoon, Terrence came again to deliver food. Bianca stared at him intently.
"Terrence, can you really keep me locked in this room for the rest of my life?"
Terrence said coldly, "If you want, of course I can."
Barry had been trying to appear less in front of Terrence lately, but work required it; after all, the two of them definitely had work interactions.
This day, holding documents, he steeled himself and walked into Terrence's office, seeing Terrence's expression still bad. Thinking that Bianca hadn't come to the company for several days, Barry felt his life was over!
However, Terrence didn't look at his documents, but suddenly asked.
"Barry, tell me everything about that day from beginning to end."
About that day, since everything had already been exposed anyway, Barry had no psychological pressure talking about it.
After telling everything, he saw that Terrence's expression still didn't look good. Barry lowered his head in silence.
Bring it on!
"Your year-end bonus is gone this year." One sentence made Barry very upset, but he didn't dare to object at all.
Bianca had been staying in the room for three days.
During these three days, Terrence only appeared when delivering meals, and was nowhere to be seen the rest of the time.
"Terrence, what exactly do you want!" When delivering food, Bianca finally couldn't hold back and asked again.
"I want you to think clearly about what you should do when you encounter this kind of thing in the future," Terrence said coldly. Bianca naturally knew what Terrence was thinking, but other things were fine - only matters related to Terrence's life, Bianca absolutely could not stay out of it.
Because Terrence had already died for her once in his previous life. In this life, she had to protect him no matter what. She had no other choice! And she wouldn't have it any other way!
Seeing Bianca still looking stubborn, Terrence naturally knew her thoughts hadn't changed.
"Since you still haven't thought it through, then keep thinking."
After Terrence closed the door and left again, all that remained was a loud sound - that was Bianca punching the door.
