Chapter 18 Wish Come True
Lena puts the tray down on the center table. “Luna, what’s wrong with that girl? There's something off about her.”
"Do you mean Mira?”
“Yes.” Lena poured orange juice into the glass.
“Don’t mind her,” Mira said, picking up a cookie and putting it in her mouth.
Lena sat on the sofa. “Enjoy your snack, Luna.”
“Have some. Are you excited about your trip tomorrow?” Mira asked.
Lena’s eyes sparkled brightly. “Yes, very much!”
“Then let’s go to the mall today and sell all the jewelry I gave you in the pawnshop so that you have lots of money to bring home with you,” Mira said cheerily. “Then we will go shopping to buy gifts for your family.”
“Thank you so much, Luna. I appreciate it very much.” Tears of happiness shimmered in Lena’s eyes, very much thankful for Luna’s generosity and concern when it comes to her family. She didn't expect Luna Rosie would go this far to help her.
After they finished with their snack, they returned to the mansion.
Mira looked for Luna Rebecca. She found the Queen in the study room, sitting on the sofa, reading a book.
Mira bowed her head. “Greetings, Mother. Can I talk to you for a minute?”
“Sure, what is it?” Luna Rebecca asked, putting down the book she was reading on her lap.
“Since Lena will go home tomorrow, I want to accompany her to the mall to buy gifts for her family. We will not stay long outside. We will return home right away. And I also need to buy personal stuff for myself,” Mira explained.
Luna Rebecca smiled. “No problem, dear. You can use the family car, just tell the driver to bring you to the mall. Take care of yourself and enjoy shopping.”
Mira smiled. “Thank you so much for giving me permission, Mother. I will take my leave now, sorry for disturbing you,” she apologized.
“No problem, dear.” Luna Rebecca resumed reading the book.
Mira walks to the door, sporting a bright smile on her face. That was so easy!
‘Hey impostor, don’t be too happy. I will tell Luna Rosie that you stole her fancy stuff and gave them to Lena. If she learns what you have done to her things she will punish you severely!’ Ada intrudes into her thoughts.
‘Shut up! Luna Rosie has so many expensive things in her closet, she won't mind giving some to her loyal servant. Shoo! Go back to your hiding place!’ Mira ignored the grumpy wolf.
Mira reunites with Lena in the living room and they return to the room to get ready for their trip to the mall.
One hour later, the two women could be seen getting into the family car that was parked in the driveway. The driver started the engine and drove the car out of the property, heading for the mall.
After a short drive, they finally arrived at their destination.
They went straight to the pawn shop and had the jewelry appraised for its monetary value. Mira sold all the jewelry. The total proceeds reached a whopping $500K. Lena was shocked after receiving such a huge amount of money instantly.
“Luna, I can’t have this kind of money. This is too much!” Lena gushed in astonishment, still reeling from the shock of owning such a huge amount of money for the first time in her life.
Mira smiled. “You deserve this money as a reward for your loyalty. Now let’s go shopping for your family.”
The two women went shopping, dined in a fancy restaurant and then went home afterwards.
Lena was over the moon with her good fortune.
Mira on the other hand was amused by her boldness, wondering how that bitch would react if she found out that she had sold some of her expensive jewelry and gave the proceeds to Lena.
Hours passed quickly, the day turned into night.
That night Mira slept alone on her bed, wondering what had happened to her husband. It would have been nice if she could contact him directly by using a phone. But her phone was taken by Luna Rosie.
Dang it! She went to the mall earlier. Why did she forget to buy a new phone so she could communicate with her husband directly?
So stupid of her!
A few hours later, Mira fell asleep peacefully.
…
The following day, Mira woke up to a bright new day. Lena already brought breakfast into the room.
After she finished her morning routine in the bathroom, Mira ate her meal so Lena could finally get ready for her trip home.
One hour later. Lena was done packing and ready to go.
“We will accompany you to the bus station. From there, I would advise you to rent a vehicle because if you are traveling with so much baggage, riding the bus can be troublesome,” Mira suggested.
"Nice idea, Luna. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I will take your advice,” Lena said gratefully. “I’ll bring my bags to the car first,” she said, moving towards the door, carrying several bags with her.
With the help of the driver, Lena arranges the baggage in the trunk of the car.
When everything was ready, the two women got into the car.
The driver started the engine and drove to the bus station. From there, Lena hired a rental car for a relaxing and comfortable journey to her hometown.
Mira and the driver left the bus station, going home.
While the car was moving on the busy highway, Mira was thinking of Luna Rosie.
Twenty minutes later, they’re finally back at the mansion.
Instead of heading back to her room on the second floor to rest, Mira went straight to the garden.
When she arrived there, she saw Luna Rosie watering the plants. “Good thing you are here. I have good news for you,” she said, smiling brightly.
Luna Rosie looked at her quizzically. “What is it?”
“We just came back from the bus station. Lena is now on her way to her hometown. It’s now time for you to take over Lena’s place as my personal maid. Bring your things to my room. I know you are dying to sleep on your comfy bed again and be reunited with your fancy stuff. See you there,” Mira said and left the garden without waiting for her reply.
Luna Rosie was overjoyed.
After she finished watering the plants, she returned to the dilapidated servants' quarters and only took her phone and charger with her. She threw the rest of Mira’s old and smelly clothes in the trash bin.
Bouncing with energy, Luna Rosie excitedly went to the mansion to start her new life as Mira’s personal maid.
A few minutes later, she can be seen knocking outside her own bedroom.
Mira opened the door and smiled in amusement. “Welcome back to our room, Luna Rosie!”
Luna Rosie stepped eagerly into her room. She was fighting back tears as happiness filled her senses.
Finally! She’s back home at last.
Now that she’s back in the mansion she will make Mira’s life miserable!
