Chapter 152 Phosphorus Powder Added

Chapter 152 Phosphorus Powder Added
A stunt double felt a forceful stomp on his shoulder. Looking up, he saw someone flying overhead; his eyes nearly popped out of his head!

Riley thought he had shielded Lia, but when she broke free, he hadn’t sensed any struggle.

In the blink of an eye, Riley was shocked as she charged toward the woman. His face turned ashen. “Stop her!”

Zane, who had just swallowed two quick-acting heart pills, was still dazed. Following everyone’s gaze, he nearly fainted at the sight of Lia’s retreating figure. Before losing consciousness, he managed to stammer, “Stop her! Everyone, stop her! If Lia gets hurt, I… I can’t breathe! Get a doctor!”

What nonsense—she was in the middle of filming!

Seeing someone daring to charge toward her, the woman licked her lips and raised her submachine gun to aim.

She narrowed her eyes, but the person was so familiar that it filled her with both joy and dread.

Lia wore a fierce expression now, eyes fixed on her, freezing her in place.

“Mrs. Müller…”

Just as a smile touched her lips, Lia suddenly clamped a hand over her mouth and slammed her to the ground.

The submachine gun flew away under Lia’s kick.

Too much enthusiasm for a reunion—this “hug” crushed her to the ground.
But this hug hurt terribly, her back scraping against the pebbles on the ground.

“Shut up!”

Lia warned in a low voice. “What the hell are you doing?”

Luna Hart caught the scent of blood on Lia’s fingertips. Looking down, she saw that the blood was already drying on Lia’s fingers. Her hand brushed against Lia’s clothes.

She raised her hand and saw that her palm was smeared with blood.

“They really hurt you!”

Luna tried to pry Lia’s hand open, but she dared not struggle against Lia’s grip. Moving too violently would only worsen Lia’s injuries.

“Bastard! Come out here! I’ll blow you to smithereens!”

“What is she saying?” Zane forced himself to stay alert and strained to listen, but not a word made sense.

He confirmed once more that this must be a terrorist attack.

“You…all of you, what are you standing for? Save Lia! If she’s hurt, I— I…”

He couldn’t catch his breath.

His eyes widened and fixed on Lia.

It was such a pity—he’d finally found someone so talented, and before she could shine, this had to happen!

“Zane, don’t panic. Gavin Moss is already there, and Director Fox is on his way, too.”

Gavin was the stunt coordinator and the most capable of them all.

But Riley was going, too? That couldn’t be good!

Zane’s hand reached forward as he tried to speak, but a wave of breath caught in his chest.

“Zane, calm down.”
“Don’t get worked up.”
“If something happens to you, how would we…”

The crew members urging him to stay calm were shaking violently and their voices were trembling.

This was worse than no comfort at all!

Luna panicked when she saw a menacing-looking man and a man with feminine traits approaching her.

“Madam, let me go! I’ll deal with them! Trust me; with me here, no one can hurt you!”

“Are you out of your mind?!”

Lia slapped her across the mouth—not hard, but enough to silence her.

Then she covered her mouth again. “I’m not being hunted by assassins. I’m an actress filming a scene. These are the crew members. Those men in black are stunt doubles. And the blood on me? It’s fake! Not mine!”

Luna froze, then sniffed the blood scent on Lia.

Something seemed off.

“Don’t call me ‘Mrs. Müller.’ I got this acting gig without Lukas’ connections. Stop it before everyone finds out. Got it?”

Luna froze and then she nodded.

Lia added, “Keep messing around, and I’ll make sure your coach pays for it!”

Luna instantly fell silent. Mentioning anyone else was useless, but bringing up her coach? That always worked.

Suddenly, an arm clamped around Lia’s shoulder and she landed in someone’s embrace.

Riley didn’t learn martial arts, but he was solidly built. When he pulled Lia toward him, he staggered slightly from the impact before regaining his footing.

Seeing that Lia was safe, Gavin moved to act as the woman on the ground stood up and brushed the dust off her clothes.

Gavin thought she was about to do something, and he felt a flicker of fear; his resolve weakened. His face flushed as he asked, “Who are you?”

“It is a misunderstanding!”

“Tell me! Who are you? We’ve already called the police. Don’t move. Are you carrying a gun here? You’re clearly in trouble!”

“What gun?”

Luna slipped her hand behind her back, shuffled forward to the submachine gun, and kicked it hard.

She grinned. “That’s just a toy. You saw wrong.”

Gavin’s mouth twitched. Was this woman mentally unstable?

Could that massive explosion have been caused by a toy?

Her kick hadn’t sent it far. She was clearly just trying to cover it up.

Gavin searched for the gun, but he found nothing. Only some fragments littered the ground.

He stepped closer to examine them. Could it be…?

Were these fragments from a gun that had been kicked to pieces?

Kicked to pieces. The words echoed in his head.

The gun was indeed shattered. The largest piece was only thumb-sized, and the bullets had been reduced to powder.

That woman must have only kicked it once. Where did she get that kind of strength? This was just too unreal!

Gavin was so stunned he couldn’t speak for a moment.

Luna grinned and shrugged her shoulders. “Where’s the gun? You must have seen it wrong. I told you it was a misunderstanding.”

Lia sighed and pressed her hand to her forehead.

This idiot!

“I’m sorry, she’s my little sister. She’s always up to no good.”

Riley shot back, “No good? Lia, that was a bullet! You S…”

What kind of weirdos did Stilles Haus keep?

The words stopped at Riley’s lips.

Lia’s identity was a secret. Since she didn’t plan to use her connections to her advantage, Riley felt somewhat relieved.

“They’re not really bullets. They’re camouflage rounds, the kind used in live-action CS games. Only she, being mischievous, added some flammable phosphorus powder inside.”

Riley’s eyelid twitched.

She could actually come up with such an excuse.

“You’re telling the truth?”

Gavin actually believed it.

“Of course.” To make Lia’s story more credible, Luna reached into her bag and pulled out a bunch of odd items. She actually found a packet of phosphorus powder. “Here it is. ‘Mrs…,’ my ‘sister,’ isn’t lying to you.”

Gavin examined it and checked with the props team. It was indeed phosphorus powder.

Realizing it was all a farce, Zane let out a long sigh.

Thank goodness it wasn’t real. Otherwise, not even swallowing an entire bottle of heart medicine would have helped.

“Lia, next time your sister wants to visit, just let her come. There’s no need for such a big commotion. I’m getting old. I can’t handle being startled any more.”

Lia opened her mouth, finding it amusing. But seeing Zane clutching his chest with such an earnest expression, she couldn’t quite bring herself to laugh.

“Got it. I’ll remind her. There won’t be a next time.”

“That’s good….”

Riley tugged Lia along. He didn’t care for that rude Luna.

“Come with me. Time for a shower.”
