Chapter 38 Chapter 0038
•POLLY•

"Have you talked to your brother about the business contract we talked about?" Allen asked as he collapsed on the bed next to me.

He had just fucked me and the last thing I wanted was to talk about business, or my brother who seemed adamant to make Narra pay for her father’s crimes.

She was the constant living reminder of what my brother and I lost when Ethan killed our parents in cold blood.

I was still plotting a way to make her pay since Antonio was hesitating, probably enjoying cumming inside her pussy.

"Ugh, Allen," I groaned as I turned and faced the other direction. "Can we not talk about my brother?"

"You and your brother made plans that—"

"That's the thing, Allen," I groaned as I turned and looked at him. "You made business plans with him and not me. I can't talk with my father about something that's between the two of you."

I turned and looked at the clock near my pedestal counter and got off the bed.

"I think you should leave and figure out a plan about how you'll approach my brother," I added as I swung his boxers and pants at him.

"That's not—"

"Take your things and leave, Allen," I sneered, folding my arms across my chest. "And don't come here again if you think I'll be your ticket to my brother's money!"

He quickly got dressed and left my apartment. The moment the door closed behind him, I sat down on the bed with my hands over my breasts.

My chest tightened when I thought about Antonio and how he threw me out of the house in front of the same girl whose father ruined our lives.

Antonio didn't know that I thought about that day every single day, though he believed I had forgotten because it was a traumatic experience.

I still saw my mother's blood on my hands when I went to sleep. I always woke up drenched because my mind refused to let go of the memory.

But Antonio didn't know, so when he constantly chose Narra over me, it broke my heart. It made me feel as if all the traumatic experiences I had suffered because of Ethan meant nothing to him.

So, when I realized the night was still young, I went out to Antonio’s club, hoping to bump into someone who might know where Narra’s mother could be.

When I got to the club, I spotted Narra's friend busy serving drinks and pretending as if she hadn't been conspiring with her behind our backs while working for my brother.

But I didn't move. I sat in the VIP section and waited for her to take my order.

She came over with her little iPad when she spotted my table. She took my order, and I waited patiently for her to come back.

I hoped Antonio wouldn't come and ruin my plans. He had a habit of thinking I needed to be kept tabs on.

He probably knew I could be unhinged and do things that might get him in trouble.

"Here's your martini," she said when she came back. "These cocktail shots are on the house," she added as she placed everything on the counter.

"Oh, that's lovely," I said, smiling. "How about you sit with me so we could talk about how you became friends with Narra Colombo."

She tensed when she heard the name. Her eyes widened as she turned around slowly and looked at me.

"Is everything okay?"

"Of course, Sarah," I chuckled. "But don't worry, my brother won't have a problem with you missing a few minutes of work. I'm sure this place won't shut down without you for a minute."

Her hands were shaking when she sat down across from me. It made me happy seeing the effect I had on her, meaning she wouldn't hide anything from me.

"I'm sure you know how my brother and I lost our parents," I said, leaning forward. "People have been talking for years about how they were shot in their own home, but no one knew who killed them.”

She shook her head.

"Good," I huffed. "Because I don't think you knew that your friend's father shot my friends and killed them as if they were animals. Her father’s face is still fresh in my memory, so you can imagine how it feels like seeing Narra after what her father did to my parents."

"She—she never told me," she stammered. "Please, I never—"

"Don't worry, sweetheart," I breathed, leaning back. "That's not why I am here. All I want from you is a small favor to tell me where Narra's mother is. You and Narra have been friends for a while, haven't you? So, you must know where her mother is."
