Chapter 39 Chapter 0039
•RAFAEL•
I woke up with my pillow drenched that morning. I sat up on the bed and breathed, trying to remind myself that it was only a dream, just as it had been for the past twenty years.
It was always the same dream, and with the same outcome. My parents always ended up dying. They died horrible deaths every time the dream returned each night.
It felt like a shadow that wouldn't leave me alone. No matter what I did, or wherever I was, the dream always returned, and each time it did, my vengeance for my parents intensified.
Narra and her mother were still alive.
Her mother was still alive, while mine wasn't.
"Baby, are you okay?" Amari asked when she woke up and found me sitting on the bed.
I looked at her and rolled my eyes. I didn't know how many times I had told her to go home, but she still insisted on staying, even though I wanted nothing to do with her anymore.
Whatever happened between us was supposed to last one night. To make Narra jealous, but she wouldn't leave anymore.
"I'll tell my chauffeur to drive you home when you're done getting ready," I said as I headed out of bed, but Amari stopped me in my tracks.
"You want me to leave?"
"I told you to go home yesterday, didn't I?"
"You and I were doing okay, Raf," she answered as she leaned closer. "Why do you want to ruin things between us now?"
"Hasn't that punk called you yet?" I asked as I turned to her. "You can't be here when he might expect to see you again. You've been here for almost an entire week, so save us both the drama and leave, Amari."
"That's it, huh?" She scoffed as she closed the gap between us. "Are you choosing that daughter of a murderer over me?"
I grabbed her neck and squeezed just a little, hoping she'd get the message because I was tired of explaining myself to her.
She betrayed me, and there was nothing she could do that would make me want to make things right again.
"Hmm, Raf," she moaned, probably to piss me off.
"Listen to me, and listen carefully," I sneered. "You and I were over the day you slept with another man and thought I would never find out. So, what makes you think I'd choose you over Narra? She's my wife, and what I do with her doesn't concern you."
"Well, sorry to disappoint," she hissed. "I'm not going anywhere."
"You better be ready to leave by the time I come out of that shower," I snarled before I let her go. "Don't make me do something I will regret."
She folded her arms across her chest and pouted, but I didn't care. I turned to the bathroom and went into the shower.
I tried to wash away the tension that the dream had left. When I killed Narra's father, I thought the dreams would stop.
I had avenged my father against the man who pulled the trigger and killed them. Even the mafia don who had hired Narra's father to kill my parents was dead.
He died a year after my parents died. The word on the street was that he was involved in a car accident and never made it out of the fire.
Someone had planted a bomb in his car, and when they got into an accident, the don couldn't unstrap himself. His stomach was too big, and he couldn't reach over with his other free hand.
His other hand was broken and couldn't move.
By the time he had unstrapped himself, it was already too late. The bomb went off, and he died.
But for years, I imagined how it would've been if I were the one who had killed him. I would've tortured him for days and months before I could let him die.
A pair of hands around my waist snapped me out of my thoughts. I looked down as they found my dick and moved around it.
For a moment, I wanted her to finish her job since my dick was already erect, but I turned off the faucet and pulled away from her.
I stepped out of the shower and wrapped a towel around my waist. My dick was still erect, but I refused to let Amari be the one to help it down.
"Do you want me to repeat myself?" I sneered. "I told you to leave my house, Amari."
"Come on, Raf," she swooned as she leaned toward me. She was naked, but I felt nothing for her anymore. "You're hard for me. I am the only one who can do that to you, and you know that."
"No," I said as I dragged her out of the door to the bedroom. "There's only one who can get me hard, and you're not her."
Her face changed, and she scowled. "Don't you dare tell me it's Narra," she scoffed. "You're mine!"
I went to the pedestal counter, took my phone, and called the chauffeur. He didn't take long before he told me he was waiting outside the door.
"Kai is waiting outside for you."
Her nostrils flared as she walked into the closet and took her bag.
"You're mine, Rafael, and I will kill that bitch before I let her have you!" She threatened as she walked out the door and left.
