RP Chapter 35
RP Chapter 35
Kacey let out a little scream as she was slammed down into another chair. She was put into it so hard the chair tipped back a little, but it sat back on all four legs.
She shot a glare at the man who slammed her down. She wanted to know who this bastard was. The agents at AS would make him pay along with whoever else was involved. She would do whatever it took to put that bastard away.
She kept even more vigilant as a couple more shadows came forward. Great, three versus one, she was really going to have to try her luck here. The one who shoved her down in the chair moved closer to her. She tensed quickly, unsure of what he was thinking about doing.
She soon found out as he leaned down a little and placed his hands on the arms of the chair pinning her in. At least that’s what the jerk thought.
“You’re going to tell us everything you know that Agent Davenport knows, and you’ll be very happy to do so too, won’t you because you’ll want to keep yourself safe and this is a guarantee that that pretty little head of yours will stay safe.” The voice grated against her ears just like the night he attacked her in her lab.
Yeah, this was the same jerk from that night and the night Kyle had stayed with her. She tried to calm her nerves a little more, if this guy thought she was a scared little girl, which in all reality she was, he’d drop his guard long enough for her to make a couple of moves on him and hopefully get away.
Kacey glared at the man in front of her. “And you really think I’d be so worried about myself over actually putting you monsters away? You do not know me very well at all,” she gritted out, before she knew it she felt the slap whip her head back, but she held back the yelp of pain that wanted to be set free.
She turned back to the man and glared harder at him. “You better do more than that, I could care less about myself, locking you guys up for good is going to be very satisfying.”
“You best rein in that little attitude of yours, you act as if your precious savoir is going to burst through that door any minute now and I can assure you that won’t happen, we left him for dead, he’s not coming, your hero is going to let you down, I hope you enjoyed each other’s company to full extent, it would be such a shame if you didn’t.” The irritating man laughed close in her ear.
That set her off, Kyle wasn’t dead, he was alive, she would have felt it if something was really wrong with Kyle. It wasn’t him letting her down either, he was hurt, she knew that by just looking at him.
Kacey couldn’t hold back anymore, she moved her hands quickly and slapped them over the guy’s ears, making him step back quickly. She got out of the chair quickly and ducked but spun her body sticking her foot out and kicking his feet out from under him. She couldn’t hold back and slammed her fist into his face as he hit the ground, bouncing his head off of the concrete floor.
She glanced up in front of her and the other guys were still standing there in what seemed like a dumbfounded way. She didn’t stick around any longer. She spun away from them and began to run, her body ached and screamed in protest as her feet pounded against the concrete. She didn’t have a choice, she had to keep going, she had to push her body.
She glanced behind her, and no one was following her yet and that was in her favor. She weaved in and out of the huge containers that were in the factory trying her best to keep distance between her and the three men. She could do this, she was more capable of things than most people knew and what she gave herself credit for. But she was going to do this. Her lungs began to burn a little bit as she continued to push herself, she finally seen a door that she could maybe get out from. She made a beeline for it at the fastest speed she was capable of, causing more pain to radiate through her body but she ignored it and kept pushing herself.
Kacey finally made it to the door and grabbed the knob and went to turn it, but it wouldn’t turn. Her body began to panic, and she spun into more panic as the sound of gunfire erupted from behind her but missed her by a couple of feet but slammed through a tall glass window. She let out a lung full of air and sucked it back in sharply, that window was where she had to get out. It was almost completely shattered, and it couldn’t be too difficult to get out.
She begged her body not to give out on her just yet as she took off toward the window and more gunfire erupted behind her again and they still missed. She was thanking God they weren’t much of a shot, but then again they probably had orders not to kill her until they got the information they wanted out of her. And she had to make sure they wouldn’t get that info out of her. She took as much air as she could and launched herself through the shattered window. She let out a little scream as her body hit the ground and rolled a little. She scrambled to her feet as quickly as possible and continued to run just as the loud rumble filled her ears.
Kacey looked around quickly and saw the bike just in time and froze as it barely missed her. Her eyes locked with cobalt blue, and she hurriedly jumped on the back of the bike and clutched the man who was quickly becoming her savior.
They took off, the wind whipping around them told Kacey how fast Kyle was actually going. She wasn’t scared though, she knew he was going to keep them safe again. She had no clue where they were going but she knew he was thinking of getting them to safety and that was good enough for her.

Kyle was so grateful to see Kacey as soon as he laid eyes on her. He was even more grateful she didn’t hesitate to get on the back of the bike with him. He had to get them somewhere safe and keep it that way until this whole mess was over. He let out a breath he seemed to have been holding up until he laid eyes on her. He wasn’t sure how good his choice of going to his childhood home was but at the moment it was the only place he could think of for now until he got back in contact with his brothers.
