Chapter 55 Don’t Make Me Hate You

Chapter 55 Don’t Make Me Hate You

Marcus's pupils suddenly contracted sharply, and his cold, indifferent eyes finally showed a crack of panic.

"Don't move, you're bleeding."

He reached out to touch the wound, but Emma directly turned away to avoid him.

Her eyes were filled with coldness as all kinds of negative emotions that had been building up finally erupted violently.

"I don't need your fake concern!"

"Stop it!"

Marcus frowned, forcibly gripping her wrist and carefully examining where her wound had split open, his heart trembling.

Emma forcefully shook off his hand and let out a cold laugh.

Her nails dug into her palms but she felt nothing. She stared at Marcus and roared, each word piercing his heart.

"Marcus, I must have been blind to fall in love with you! Who do you think you are? What gives you the right to control my life? Why should I be controlled by you! If I could, I never want to see you again in this lifetime! Why do you always have to come out and mess up all my plans!"

She had already gotten used to life without him!

Why did he have to force his way back in!

That wasn't love at all—it was control, it was the possessiveness of a bored person who lost his toy!

If he loved her, how could he bear to hurt her?

Marcus's breath caught, his throat felt dry and painful, unable to say a single word, his nerves stretched to the limit.

The hatred in Emma's eyes was almost tangible. Her red lips opened and closed as she spoke slowly.

"Marcus, I hate you."

After Emma finished speaking, the entire corridor fell silent.

Marcus's face turned terrifyingly dark, his deep eyes churning with bone-chilling coldness.

He laughed lowly, the emotions in his eyes twisted into madness.

"Emma, hate me? What reason do you have to hate me! Do you think you have a choice? Do you think you can escape? You can only stay, you can only be with me!"

The last thread of rationality in Marcus's mind completely snapped.

His large hand gripped the back of Emma's neck, pressing her entire body against him, and with dominating aggression, he kissed her lips.

He kept deepening the kiss, crushing every corner.

Marcus's other hand teased every sensitive spot on her body.

He knew her body, knew how to make her surrender more easily.

Even if Emma wanted to leave, he wanted to tell her that her body had already chosen to submit!

Emma desperately protected her abdomen.

She was forced to tilt her head back, her body trembling involuntarily.

She bit down hard on Marcus's lip, and the taste of blood spread through their mouths.

But this bloody taste became the fuse for Marcus's loss of control.

He had held back for too long—the extreme mental suppression and his longing for Emma finally turned into madness.

Between them remained only heavy breathing and intimate sounds.

"Marcus! Let her go!"

Daniel, worried about Emma, had turned back.

When Emma wasn't in the hospital room, he came looking for her.

Who knew that as soon as he came in, he would see Emma with a pale face being forcefully kissed by Marcus.

And Marcus's crazy demands.

He strode over and swung his fist hard at Marcus.

Marcus reacted and turned around, taking the punch with his back while protecting Emma in his arms.

Emma took the opportunity to push him away and slapped him hard across the face!

A crisp sound rang out.

She had used all her strength for that slap.

Marcus's head turned from the impact, and finger marks immediately appeared on his cheek.

"Marcus! You're crazy!"

Emma stepped back two paces, clear fear appearing in her eyes.

The Marcus of before only made her feel oppressed.

But the Marcus now was a madman in Emma's eyes.

He looked deeply at Emma, then turned and got into a fight with Daniel.

Emma held her stomach. She wanted to step forward to stop them, but with the slightest movement, a dragging pain came from her abdomen.

Emma cried out, her face instantly turning deathly pale, beads of sweat the size of beans falling from her forehead.

She slowly sat down against the wall, her expression pained.

Marcus and Daniel, who were still fighting, heard Emma's voice and both stopped.

"Emma!"

"Emma!"

Both men, caring about nothing else, ran toward Emma like madmen.

Marcus got there first, picked up Emma, and strode outside. "Doctor! Come quickly!"

Daniel followed behind him, his eyes filled with extreme anxiety.

Emma was in so much pain her face was deathly white. She bit down hard on her teeth, murmuring, "The baby, my baby, save her."

Marcus frantically handed Emma over to the doctor.

The operating room light came on again, the words "Surgery in Progress" like a huge stone pressing down on Marcus.

He looked down at the bloodstains on his fingertips, staggered, and a trace of disbelief and fear surged in his eyes.

Only now did he finally come to his senses.

Daniel punched him.

This time Marcus didn't dodge but took the punch head-on.

"Marcus, do you know how much Emma cares about this baby! What exactly do you want! Can't you just let Emma go!"

Facing Daniel's questioning roar, Marcus angrily wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth.

"Daniel, what happens between Emma and me is our business. Who are you to interfere!"

Daniel gritted his teeth, his hands clenched into tight fists. "You!"

Just as he was about to say something, the door opened.

The doctor ran out, holding a surgical consent form.

"Who is the patient's family? The patient's baby is in danger, sign quickly!"

All color drained from Marcus's face. Each step felt extremely heavy as he picked up the pen and quickly signed, his fingertips slightly cold.

The doctor rushed back into the operating room.

The door closed again.

Marcus sat on a nearby bench.

He punched the wall, letting his knuckles bleed without making a sound.

He thought he must be crazy—what had he just done!

Hurting Emma wasn't enough, he almost hurt their baby too!

If something happened to this baby, Emma would definitely never forgive him again.

Finally, two hours later.

The operating room door was pushed open again.

Emma was wheeled out. Her face was deathly pale, new and old wounds mixed together on her body, looking somewhat frightening.

An IV drip hung from her arm, and she wore a breathing apparatus over her mouth.

Marcus's eyes reddened as he immediately stood up from his seat. "Doctor, what's the situation?"

"Due to physical injuries combined with emotional distress, she's showing signs of premature labor. She needs bed rest and cannot be emotionally agitated again."

Marcus immediately agreed.

Daniel came to the bedside, his eyes filled with guilt.

"Emma, I'm sorry. I came too late."

Emma was extremely weak. She shook her head slightly at Daniel. "It's not your fault, don't blame yourself."
