Chapter 22 Handcuffs no Kink

Chapter 22 Handcuffs no Kink
Colton drove home after he felt that he had given enough time for whatever Davina was going to do to be done. He pulled into his driveway and he saw the back of the truck. He thought that maybe somebody else was there, until he pulled up beside it and saw the big red bow.

He turned off his car and got out then checked out the truck. It was the silver truck he had told Elizabeth that he wanted. It was very heart warming to see that she listened to him and went out of her way to buy him the truck. But it only made him feel more guilty.

Colton went inside and saw all that Elizabeth did to decorate the house for their anniversary dinner. He wished that he could wish away the horrible situation they were in away and just keep Elizabeth with him. Knowing that he would never see her again was breaking his heart.

Elizabeth walked in from the bedroom, Colton was taken aback and his heart started racing. “Elizabeth! What are you doing here?” Colton asked.

Elizabeth went over to him and held him, then told him “Happy Anniversary.”

“Happy Anniversary.” He said back unsure of what was going on.

“I want you to know that I really love you.” Elizabeth told him.

Colton wrapped his arms around her and hugged her “I really love you too.”

“That is why I have to break up with you.” Elizabeth told him.

“What.” Colton muttered.

“I have to break up with you. Now sit down.” Elizabeth informed him.

“What? Why?” Colton as his heart asked was breaking asked.

“I am going to confess, you may want to get a recorder or something to write it down.” Elizabeth informed Colton.

“I don’t want to do this.” Colton told her.

Elizabeth went into his pocket and grabbed the recorder she knew he always had on him, then walked over to the table and sat down. She pulled out the mini pink machete she used in the majority of her murders and put it on the table for Colton to take as evidence. Colton looked at it knowingly his heart sank, as he realized that this was real. She tapped the table in front of her indicating to Colton that she wanted him to sit down.

“You are going to make the arrest.” Elizabeth stated.

Colton went over to the table and sat down in front of her and declared “I do not want to arrest you.”

“But you have to.” Elizabeth answered him.

She turned the recorder on then began her confession “It started at home, when I caught my fiancé in bed with another woman. I was coming back from my mother’s funeral. I felt like Keith was all I had after my mother died, and when I saw him with another woman I felt that I had nothing. The woman in my bed acted as though Keith was an idiot for wanting me over her. That for some reason pushed me over the edge. I knew Keith had a gun I grabbed it and shot her straight through the heart. Because I knew I had nothing to lose I did not care about myself or what would happen to me. That made it easier to kill Keith. He had apologized I could have forgiven him, he probably would have never done it again but I didn’t. Instead I shot him in the head killing him instantly.”

Elizabeth looked up at Colton he was staring at her like he was disappointed that she was doing this, confessing to him and making him arrest her.

She knew she had to though “I always had an issue with my dad because he cheated on my mom and abandoned our family. I think he always thought I was taking my mom’s side when I was really more upset about the fact that he abandoned me. He made me grow up without a father, after I had killed Keith I really just wanted to rid myself of all the people that hurt me. I had decided to move out of town so I had planned to stop by my dad’s place take care of him then move on with my life.”

Elizabeth paused to take a breath, and then continued “I got to the city and I promised myself I would never kill anyone again. I took some classes, found a passion and went for it I did amazing.”

“Yea. You did.” Colton interrupted her.

Elizabeth gave him a look that said do not interrupt me. He shut up and listened reluctantly. “Anyway a man who was wearing a wedding ring came on to me, I was pissed but I was going to let it go. However it festered in my mind and I could not let it go. So I called the number he gave me, made him believe I wanted to sleep with him, and lured him to a hotel. I made sure he got a room in his name, covered my face; I killed him when we got into the room. After that I just went from club to club, bar to bar looking for people who were cheating on their significant others or spouses to kill them.”

Elizabeth grabbed the wine bottle, and poured herself a glass of wine; she took a sip then held up the glass “I am going to miss this.”

“Then why are you doing this?” Colton asked “You could have ran.”

Elizabeth ignored him “I cannot tell you how many people I killed; I know it was a lot though. I wish I could take it back, but at the same time I don’t regret it. If I had not killed Keith and instead forgave him, I would still be a lawyer and married to him. Who knows maybe even have a couple of kids running around, I would have never met you, and then I would not have had the best year of my life. No matter what happens being with you made it all worth it.” Elizabeth paused the recorder, and then added “You should know that I put all of my money in an account under a different name I left all the information in the room for you. I want you to have it.”

Elizabeth stood up, then turned around and put her hands behind her back. Colton was watching her; he stayed in his seat for a minute not wanting to move. Elizabeth stayed standing there waiting.

Colton reluctantly got up and took his handcuffs out, as he was cuffing Elizabeth he read her, her rights “Elizabeth Waller, you have the right to remain silent, anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law.”

He took a deep breath wishing he was not doing this, when he realized he there was no way out he choked the rest out “You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be provided for you. Do you understand the rights as I have read them to you?” He finished speaking as he finished locking the cuffs around her wrists.

“Yes.”
