Chapter 301 As You Command, Mrs. Windsor

Chapter 301 As You Command, Mrs. Windsor

"If Alice is willing, then I'm willing!"

Layla's answer was exactly what Rebecca had expected.

There really wasn't any suspense at all.

Thinking this, Rebecca turned to ask Alexa. "Mom, when you used to go to social events with Dad, did you ever meet James's parents? Are they easy to talk to and get along with?"

Layla laughed, with an expression that said it was too early to tell.

Alexa thought seriously for a long time, then shook her head regretfully. "I don't really remember. I just remember their daughter—so beautiful and capable. All the ladies we chatted with were so envious, only regretting they didn't have a son who could marry Miss Walker."

Rebecca froze, suddenly feeling a bit upset.

Although she didn't consider Nicole a rival, Nicole had definitely appeared right in front of her.

An annoyingly excellent woman.

And Frederick's schoolmate, too.

Although Nicole hadn't explicitly expressed her feelings for Frederick in front of her, Rebecca could sense that she liked him. Otherwise, she wouldn't have asked that question at the party that day.

She just didn't know when Nicole had fallen for Frederick.

And whether she would give up, knowing Frederick was married.

But Mom praising Nicole so highly still made Rebecca feel an inexplicable jealousy.

Playing in the snow again, she was completely distracted, only snapping back to reality when Alex stuffed a handful of snow down her collar.

"Alexander, don't run!"

Shaking off the snow from her neck and hat, Rebecca took off running after him.

When Frederick arrived, what he saw was the beautiful scene of Rebecca and Alex chasing each other through the snow, shouting and laughing.

But when he called out to Becca, she didn't hear him.

Even when he approached wanting to warm her hands, Rebecca calmly dodged him, looking angry.

Completely puzzled, Frederick remained confused even as they started breakfast.

"Do you want coffee or milk?"

In the dining room, five pairs of eyes all looked over at once from different directions.

Could someone tell him why exactly Becca was angry?

Was it the message he sent last night, saying she owed him another night and he'd collect interest?

But Rebecca had replied then, calling him heartless—that didn't sound like she was angry.

Or was it that she found out he and Peter stayed at the winery until early morning?

But it was just him and Peter, even the person pouring wine was a server—no women at all.

The whole breakfast was so uncomfortable that he almost gave himself an ulcer.

As soon as he put down his utensils, Frederick pulled Rebecca up and dragged her into the bedroom.

As soon as the door closed, Frederick turned and pressed Rebecca against it. "Did I upset you?"

Rebecca's eyes dodged as she turned her head away.

Actually, as soon as the words left her mouth, she realized something was wrong.

What did this have to do with Frederick?

He didn't even know anything about it. Her misdirected anger was basically an undeserved disaster for him.

But Rebecca couldn't help it—she was just angry.

Even Mom thought Nicole was great, saying if she had a son, she'd want to marry her as a daughter-in-law.

Frederick made Mom so happy, telling her to let him know if she needed anything.

If Frederick hadn't married her first, then in Mom's eyes and everyone else's, wouldn't Nicole and Frederick be a better match than Frederick and her?

Rebecca spoke angrily.

Frederick listened in stunned silence.

What should he say?

After a long silence, Frederick's eyes suddenly filled with laughter.

"Becca..."

Leaning down to kiss Rebecca, Frederick's chuckled. "You're jealous!"

Last time, Frederick had coaxed and pressed her, asking over and over if she was sure she wasn't jealous.

But this time, Frederick stated decisively that she was jealous.

Her face felt a bit hot. Rebecca turned her head to avoid Frederick's smiling gaze, huffing. "Yes, I'm angry! Even Mom thinks Nicole is great, really great! So what if I'm jealous?"

Embarrassed and angry, Rebecca pushed him. "I'm not even jealous over you, let go!"

"No!"

Not only didn't he let go, but he pressed even closer. Frederick looked down at Rebecca and said, "Becca, if you replaced me with someone else, like Dennis, would you still be angry now?"

Rebecca froze.

But what if it were Dennis?

"You said before that beautiful women often appear around Dennis, and you'd get angry once, but the second time you saw it, you wouldn't be angry anymore. Becca..."

His voice full of pleased laughter, Frederick leaned down to kiss Rebecca. "But I won't give you a chance to be angry. At least, I won't let you be angry with me because of another woman. Don't be angry anymore, okay?"

Frederick gave her plenty of face.

And coaxed her so patiently and tenderly.

"You said it yourself!"

Rebecca looked up at Frederick. "If someday in the future, I find out there's another woman around you, or you hide something from me because of another woman. Frederick, I will get angry when I find out."

"Okay..."

In the past, at gatherings Peter would complained about his girlfriend getting jealous or angry or being difficult with him. He'd look so annoyed, as if he wished women would disappear from the world.

But now, with Becca jealous and angry, Frederick's heart was filled only with endless joy.

Drawing out his voice as he promised her, Frederick nodded. "Yes, ma'am, Mrs. Windsor!"

As soon as he finished speaking, Rebecca lifted her head and kissed him.

His breathing hitched as he responded intensely.

Then he let her go before losing control.

Frederick breathed heavily, gently nibbling at Rebecca's lips. "Becca, you haven't been home for two days. Early in the morning, don't provoke me!"

Sensing the approaching danger, Rebecca bit her lip and nodded briskly. "Yes, sir, Mr. Windsor!"

Even after getting to the office and downing an iced Americano, Frederick still felt like there was a bright red little flame jumping in his heart.

In his mind was the image of Becca huffing angrily over Alexa's joke.

Even the rising stock market couldn't capture his attention.

Looking at his watch again, Frederick felt time was passing especially slowly.

Every minute, every second, felt particularly torturous.

When there was a knock on the office door, and Mike came in to ask what to order for lunch, Frederick shook his head. "No need, you go eat."

As he spoke, Frederick stood up, took his coat from the rack, and grabbed his car keys.

If he couldn't have her, at least he could look, right?

Just as he opened his phone, Rebecca's message whooshed over.

[Mr. Windsor, lunch is on the table, your wife is in bed—which do you want first?]

His eyes shot up suddenly. Frederick didn't even have time to hang up his coat, just tossed it aside and headed upstairs.
