Chapter 12
Siddharth's POV___
After Abhay left for Germany, I called Nishat, my personal assistant. He picked up in one go.
"Yes, sir?" he asked.
"I will be late for today, manage the meeting," I instructed before ending the call.
I was heading to Raha's place to pick her up. Enough is enough with her and Abhay. She is my wife, and she should be aware of that. She should be with me, not left alone at Abhay's place. I'm going to take her with me; she will live with me.
_______________
Siddharth sat in his car, parked near Raha's apartment building, the anticipation of her arrival increasing with every passing minute. The sun was slowly setting, casting a warm glow on the surroundings. Siddharth couldn't help but reflect on the recent events – the turmoil, the clashes with Abhay, and the inexplicable connection he felt with Raha.
As he gazed out of the car window, he wondered about Abhay's sudden departure to Germany. A subtle smirk played on Siddharth's lips as he realized that Abhay might believe he could hide Raha away from him. Little did Abhay know, Siddharth was determined to find her, to bring her back into his life.
Meanwhile, in the college, Raha was engrossed in her classes, unaware of the plans unfolding outside her world. She diligently took notes, trying to focus on her studies and temporarily forget the chaotic events of the past few days. Abhay's sudden departure left her with unanswered questions, but there was no one to provide the explanations she sought.
Back at the apartment, Siddharth's patience was wearing thin. He glanced at his watch, the ticking sound echoing his restlessness. Just as he was about to give in to the urge to call her, he spotted Raha approaching from a distance. She looked weary, burdened by the weight of the recent events.
he refrained from calling her, aware of her reluctance to receive calls from him. Choosing to wait patiently, he hoped to see her when she returned.
As Raha arrived at her apartment in the late evening, exhaustion clung to her like a shadow. A hectic day filled with back-to-back classes and overtime at the cafe left her drained. The weariness etched across her face revealed the toll the day had taken.
With hunger gnawing at her, she contemplated cooking, but the thought seemed too daunting. Laziness prevailed, convincing her that it was a waste of time. Instead, she opted for a simpler solution – donuts. Their sweetness and simplicity appealed to her, offering a quick and satisfying fix for her tiny, tired tummy.
And knowing they weren't available in her apartment, she made a pitstop at a nearby shop to purchase them. The sweet aroma of the donuts accompanied her as she entered her apartment, providing a momentary respite from the day's challenges.
She put the bag of donuts on the sofa and decided to eat them after a bath. She was excited about enjoying them. Later, she headed to her room, unaware that someone was watching her.
As Raha entered her room, ready to unwind, her eyes widened in shock and fear. There, seated on her bed, was Siddharth, his gaze fixed upon her. The sudden and unexpected presence of Siddharth left her paralyzed for a moment, unsure of how to react in this unexpected encounter.
As Raha was about to shout, Siddharth swiftly covered her mouth with his large palm and pressed her against the wall.
"Don't shout, I'm your husband, not a stranger," Siddharth asserted.
Raha trembled in fear, and Siddharth, witnessing her distress, loosened his grip. The realisation hit him hard – she was genuinely terrified of him. He couldn't shake off the guilt for the actions that had led to her fear and apprehension.
"Don't be scared, Raha. I won't hurt you," Siddharth reassured.
"Why are you here? Please go," Raha pleaded in a trembling voice.
"I'm here to take you with me," Siddharth declared without hesitation.
Raha's eyes widened in surprise.
"Pack your stuff; we will leave," Siddharth ordered.
"I'm not coming with you," Raha resisted.
"I'm not even asking, and if you won't come with me, I will pick you up in my arms, and then we will go," Siddharth declared, leaving Raha shocked.
"Let me inform Abhay," Raha said, as the only person she could trust was Abhay. She decided to call him.
After hearing Abhay's name, Siddharth's blood boiled. He couldn't understand why she wanted to inform him. He came closer to her, tightly held her waist, and pulled her closer to his face.
"Don't you dare forget, Raha, you are my wife, not his. So whatever you do, wherever you go, you will only inform me and only me, not anyone else, not even Abhay. You always listen to him, but now it's enough of you and him. From now on, I will make decisions about your life, not anyone else. So don't you dare call him at all."
"Get ready; I'm waiting outside," Siddharth said, leaving her. At this point, she didn't have an option but to leave with him, knowing how stubborn he was.
She went to the washroom and freshened up. After that, she packed some important stuff and took her bag to the hall. However, the scene she saw in the hall was terrible for her. Her heart shattered into pieces.
Because Siddharth was eating her precious donuts, the ones she brought for herself. Now he was eating them, and she was really hungry, but he devoured them. She cried, and Siddharth heard her sob.
Siddharth became worried and immediately went towards her. "Why are you crying now?" Siddarth asked, but she kept crying. "Look, Raha, I won't leave you here, no matter how much you cry. I will take you with me," Siddarth said, thinking she was crying because he was taking her with him. She sobbed a little harder.
"I said, don't cry!" Now he shouted at her. She immediately stopped after hearing his dangerous voice. Her eyes were red, her cheeks too, and she bit her lips to stop her cry.
"Good girl, now let's go," Siddharth said while pulling her hand. Raha saw some leftover pieces of donuts she hadn't left.
"Let's go, Raha. We are already late," Siddharth said. Raha walked a little, and Siddharth watched her. She took that half piece of donut in her tiny hand, and Siddharth was confused to see her like that because that donut was his leftover.
"Don't eat them; they are my leftovers," Siddharth said.
"You eat them, but," Raha said very cutely, her face already wet because of her cries.
"I just ate them because they were looking nice," Siddharth replied. Raha became a little emotional; her eyes filled with tears in a moment.
"But they were mine!" Raha said and sat on the sofa while crying because that donut was really precious to her.
"So, you are crying over donuts?" Siddharth asked. Raha nodded in reply.
Siddharth chuckled, finding it amusing. That little girl was crying like hell over donuts.
Raha noticed him laughing at her and became angry. "Why are you laughing?" she asked.
"Because you were crying over something unexpected," Siddharth replied, still amused by the situation.
