Chapter 11

Raha's pov__

The next morning, I awoke early, having not slept much the previous night. My hunger drove me to the kitchen. Given the early hour, the kitchen was empty. I opened the freezer, and to my surprise, it was filled with strawberry milk, chocolates, and various items, all in pink. I immediately knew it was Abhay.

I questioned why he had brought all of these pink items in the late hours of the night. I had shared my fondness for the colour pink with him last night, but why was he so considerate at such an odd time?

My contemplation was interrupted by a loud grumble from my stomach, reminding me of my hunger. I grabbed a strawberry milk carton and a packet of bread, making myself a delicious and satisfying meal.

While engrossed in my breakfast, I suddenly heard footsteps approaching. I glanced up to see a man standing there, his eyes fixed on me as I ate. It made me feel strangely exposed, and I couldn't understand why Siddharth was watching me so intently.

I knew that I hadn't prepared the breakfast myself, but the way he was looking at me. After a while, he walked away with a smirk, and I let out a sigh of relief. I couldn't shake the uncomfortable feeling, but I went back to my meal, trying to focus on my food and put the strange encounter behind me.

Why was he staring at me?

In Siddharth's bedroom, he found himself deep in thought. His mind was consumed by a single concern – how to make Raha feel at ease with his presence. It had become apparent to him that Raha was like a skittish cat, prone to getting frightened whenever he was around.

This dilemma weighed on Siddharth's mind, leaving him feeling confused and determined to figure out a way to make Raha more comfortable in his presence. He knew that building a connection with her would require patience and understanding.

Determined to improve his relationship with Raha, Siddharth formulated a plan. With a smile on his face, he walked towards the hall, intending to offer to drop her off at college. The idea pleased him, and he felt hopeful about bridging the gap between them.

However, when he arrived in the hall, his enthusiasm waned. Abhay and Raha were engaged in conversation, and Siddharth couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy. Ignoring his inner turmoil, he approached them. The atmosphere between Abhay and Raha shifted, becoming more serious as they acknowledged Siddharth's presence.

Siddharth's voice cut through the air with a cold tone, leaving Abhay and Raha confused and silent. The tension was palpable as Siddharth continued, "When are you leaving for the office? It's already late today." His pointed question was directed at Abhay, indicating that he wanted him to depart.

Abhay, catching the underlying message, responded, "Yeah, I'll leave for the office before dropping Raha at college."

Siddharth, with a determination to take over the responsibility, insisted, "It's already late for you. You should leave for the office. I will drop her."

Raha was taken aback by his words. She feared how Siddharth could handle her, considering his past actions. Her trembling fear did not escape the notice of Abhay and Siddharth.

Abhay firmly declared, "I hope you get your answer after seeing her condition. There's no need for you to drop her; I will handle it."

He then took Raha's hand and left with her, leaving Siddharth behind with a stern self-affirmation, "Now it's enough of their closeness. I won't allow you to be with her anymore. She is mine, not yours."

In Siddharth's office, he dialed someone's number and instructed, "Send Abhay to my cabin." After hanging up, Abhay knocked on the door and entered when Siddharth permitted.

"What?" Abhay asked in a cold tone as he took a seat.

Siddharth got straight to the point, saying, "There is a project, XYZ, and I want you to handle it because I am too busy with my own stuff."

"Okay, send me the details, and I'll start working," Abhay replied promptly.

Siddharth paused for a moment before adding, "But..."

"What?" Abhay inquired.

"You have to leave for Germany for this project," Siddharth dropped the unexpected news.

"Okay," Abhay agreed, surprising both Siddharth and himself, as Siddharth noted the ease with which Abhay accepted the international assignment.

"I will leave after 5 days," Abhay declared.

"Why after 5 days?" Siddarth inquired.

"I will settle down Raha somewhere, and then after that, I will go to Germany," Abhay stated coldly. Siddarth was shocked because he intended to send Abhay away to have some time alone with Raha, but Abhay's plan involved leaving her somewhere without Siddarth's input.

"She will stay with me," Siddarth asserted.

"Definitely not," Abhay retorted.

"You are not anyone to her, deciding where she stays or not. She is my wife, not yours," Siddarth argued.

"Wife... hahaha, who gives their wife to anyone for fun?" Abhay taunted, provoking Siddarth's anger.

"Mind your language, Abhay!" Siddarth shouted.

"Don't shout at me. I'm not Raha, who will listen to your rants. She might, but not me," Abhay said, leaving Siddarth confused. Now, the questions surrounding him were overwhelming.

How would he convince her to stay with him? She was already scared of him, and he needed to find out where Abhay intended to make her stay and how he would bring her to his house. The uncertainties loomed large.

After 5 days, Abhay and Siddharth stood at the airport.

"Goodbye," Siddarth bid him farewell.

"Hmm," Abhay replied before departing for Germany.

"What do you think, little brother, that you can hide my wife somewhere, and I won't be able to find her? So pitiful of you," Siddharth muttered to himself, a smirk playing on his lips. He knew exactly where Abhay had placed her and the precise location.

"I'm coming, my little wife, to take you with me. Wait for me," Siddarth whispered to himself.

She had certainly cast a spell on him. She was undeniably magical.

"She is made of magic ✨."
