WRITER'S POV

One year later Geralt got up early in the morning.

He opened the fridge, took two eggs and milk to make some omelet. He sighed.

Every day he still can't forget the most feared event in his life.

He still blames himself for everything bad that had went through a year ago.

He always wishes that he didn't just bring Monique into his life with Lexi.

He wishes everyday that he would not have been a selfish idiot and properly courted Lexi.

" Geralt dear ? You'll wake up in the morning again ? " greetings from Yaya Betty.

" Good morning Yaya , " Geralt smiled.

" You're always ahead of me, you're robbing me of that job, " Yaya joked. Geralt smiled and continued what he was doing.

" Are you okay ? " Yaya asked.

" I'm good Yaya, don't worry about me, " he smiled like an innocent boy again.

" Geralt son, I took care of you when you were young and I already know you. Even though you look brave, you have a very good heart. You don't have to feel guilty about what happened, it's not your fault so just relax , " she said and immediately leave for grocery.

" Babe . . " A warm arms are wrapped around Geralt's Herculean body.

" You're up early again . . i hate it when i wake up and you weren't there, " Lexi said.

" I just want to recover - - " Babe . . . how many times do I have to say that ?

It's not your fault, I'm totally fine it has been over a year now. I don't want you to beat yourself up thinking that incident was all on you, ok ? " Lexi calmly said. Geralt sighed.

He dropped the spatula he was holding facing Lexi. " I love you so much Lexi, " he said and gave her a kiss in her forehead. "

You don't even know how much I love you, Geralt " Lexi said back. He bend down on his knees and kissed Lexi's tummy. " And I love you little one, Daddy and Mommy are excited to see you, " he whispered while smiling. Lexi chuckled.

Every day Geralt is like this to her. Very caring and memorable. He puts his family first over everything that is why Lexi feels she is the luckiest woman in the whole world.

After the incident, luckily, not bad Lexi's condition. She was able to survive even though she lost a lot of blood.

Stanley and Monique are now rotting in jail for kidnapping and attempted murder.

They will both spend 15 years in jail and Geralt had made sure of that.

On the bright side, everything was fine, and Lexi had wasted no time and immediately got married. Intimate wedding with close family and friends. No Patrick this time.

Beautiful, intimate, vet elegant garden wedding. Geralt had rented out the entire The FIVE STAR HOTEL in NEW YORK to spend their luxurious honeymoon.

What do you expect from a billionaire ? Lexi was overwhelmed since it was a surprise for her.

Geralt had organized this honeymoon beautifully.

At the end of the day, both Lexi and Geralt are very thankful that they've found each other, regardless of the circumstances. It might not be the best first meet up story, but they really do genuinely believe that they were a couple from their past life and that electrifying feeling whenever they're together has always stayed to this day.
