Chapter 156 156
Venessa’s POV
After everything we had endured every loss, every battle, every moment of doubt I knew this was our happily ever after. And I was determined to savor it. Every heartbeat. Every breath. Every second we were given.
“My love,” I began, my voice steady despite the emotion swelling in my chest. “I love you more than words could ever contain. I would risk everything again and again, fight through any storm, just to find my way back into your arms. Your love is pure and righteous, and I will cherish it for as long as I live.
“These are my vows to you.
“I will never break your heart.
I will never hurt you.
I will be your strength when you falter and your support when the weight of the world presses down on you.
I will cherish every moment we share and never take our love for granted.
I will be honest with you always, forever open, never hiding behind secrets. My heart will be an open book one you can read without fear or doubt.
I will make loving me easy, and you will never question your worth or your place beside me.
We will walk this lifetime together, united, unbreakable, and strong.
I may not have been your first, but I promise you this I will be your last.
I will stand by you until the day I draw my final breath.
“Take my heart and my love as my offering. I love you, Denzel Shaw, and I will love you this way completely and endlessly until the very end.”
When I finished, he smiled at me with a tenderness that stole the breath from my lungs.
We kissed, sealing every promise we had made, and the officiator pronounced us husband and wife.
Tyrell and Jalisa exchanged their vows soon after, and together we moved on to the reception. What followed was nothing short of extraordinary. Every general in attendance mingled without tension werebears and werewolves alike, standing side by side in peace. It was astonishing to witness. Those unaware of everything that had transpired could only stare in surprise.
King Keon was there as well, and I could see him settling into his role with growing confidence. My thoughts drifted briefly to Donovan his deception, his betrayal and a quiet sadness touched me. His choices had robbed him of the happiness standing before us now, of a world finally free from darkness.
Seeing Fabian and Keon laugh together was oddly amusing, though not unexpected. They had fought side by side, and bonds forged in battle were not easily broken.
The wedding ended in joy and laughter, and eventually everyone retired to their rooms and hotels. The following day, guests began leaving the Lycan Kingdom. Denzel and I set off on a two-week honeymoon at a secluded resort, while Tyrell and Jalisa did the same. The Blood Moon Pack was left in capable hands Gamma Rayon took charge without hesitation.
Everything was exactly as it should have been.
Three years later…
Denzel and I were blessed with two beautiful children a boy and a girl, born a year apart. Aaliyah, our firstborn, and Jason, our youngest. We loved them beyond measure. I was pregnant again, expecting our third child, and every moment of it had been filled with peace and joy.
My mother had also given birth to a son, Leon. Having a sibling filled my heart with happiness, and knowing she hadn’t walked that journey alone this time made it even sweeter.
Tyrell and Jalisa were blessed with twins Damion and Deandra. They were the same souls lost to miscarriage after the attack in our previous life, returned to us whole and alive. It was nothing short of a miracle.
Rayon and Tonya welcomed quadruplets into the world Sheldon, Scott, Shania, and Shanice. Life was abundant. Full. Beautiful.
Denzel and I divided our time between the Lycan Kingdom and the Blood Moon Pack. Though I now had a brother, I remained Queen, with Denzel as King. Tyrell stood next in line to rule as Werewolf King through Princess Jalisa. Every piece had fallen perfectly into place.
There was a peace in our world that would have seemed impossible in our first and second lifetimes. It was as though darkness itself had been erased.
I still saw Atabey in my dreams, still spoke with her. She remained elusive, her words vague, but I had learned to trust her judgment and accept her ways.
I didn’t know what the future held but I knew this much: peace would endure, because evil had been extinguished. And I intended to spend every remaining moment of my life loving my mate, right up until my final breath.
