Chapter 251 Thalia Jumped
"Let him wait."
William said this coldly. Angelina took out her phone and sent a Messenger reply to Brian.
A breakfast meeting dragged on until noon, turning directly into a lunch meeting.
Thalia woke up groggily, grabbed her phone to check the time - it was already eleven in the morning.
"Mr. Brown, is it over? I need to go out"
"Not yet"
Thalia stood at the sink brushing her teeth, the electric toothbrush moving around in her mouth. She typed another message: "Can you move somewhere else? I need to leave"
"Am I tying you up?"
"People will see me"
"Mrs. Brown can't be seen in public?"
"Secret marriage!"
Thalia washed her face, wiped it carelessly, almost staring a hole through her phone screen, waiting for William's reply.
But William's message never came. She changed her clothes and was ready to go out, but couldn't help calling him.
On the other end, it showed no one was answering.
Was William forcing her hand?
Did William just want to force her to show herself?
Thalia was so angry she laughed.
She was Emerald City's princess - she'd lived this long without being afraid of anyone.
Maple Grove Villas was spacious, decorated in understated luxury. Sitting in the first-floor living room, you could see the entire second-floor hallway clearly. Whether Thalia took the elevator or the stairs down, people would see her.
William wasn't answering calls or replying to Messenger - wasn't he just trying to force her to come downstairs and show herself?
She refused.
Downstairs, Angelina was grinding coffee at the bar counter with her back to the executives.
Looking up, she saw a bag being thrown down from the direction of the second-floor master bedroom.
Then someone jumped down...
"What was that noise?"
Angelina: ........ Thalia flying through the air?
Had Thalia played around with so many men that she was now playing with her own life? Jumping off buildings now?
"What was that noise?" The executives one after another voiced their confusion.
William looked at Fallon: "Take someone to check it out."
Angelina opened her mouth, wanting to say something, then stopped.
Some men - no wonder his wife wanted a divorce all the time! At times like this, what good is money if you're dead!
Fallon took the servants and opened the door to go out, only to see Thalia limping along the wall toward the parking lot.
Gasping in shock, scared out of her wits: "Mrs. Brown"
"Don't say anything."
Under everyone's shocked gazes, Thalia made her way to the parking lot...
"Mr. Brown," Fallon said something in William's ear, still shaken. The executives only saw William's expression change drastically as he pushed back his chair and rushed toward the parking lot.
William's movement was so forceful he almost knocked over the chair. Fortunately, Angelina caught it, preventing this chair worth tens of thousands of dollars from falling.
Just as William reached the parking lot, Thalia drove off in a Cullinan.
"Thalia..."
"Thalia..."
"How about calling her?" Angelina followed down and handed her phone to William.
William took the phone and only realized he'd been blocked when he tried calling Thalia.
"Well... she's already jumping off buildings. Push her too hard and you might not have a wife anymore."
"How about I dismiss everyone? You go after Thalia?"
William shot her a cold look, scaring Angelina into shrinking her neck. Fine, she was meddling. It wasn't her wife anyway - if she's gone, she's gone. Better off without her!
Some stubborn people just need to be taught a lesson.
William was going to be famous, going down in history - actually driving his own wife to jump off a building. If the gossip reporters found out about this, wouldn't they write a huge expose?
............
"What happened to your leg? Did a dog bite you?" When everyone in the company saw Thalia limping in supporting her leg, Layla was too scared to even curse.
"It's complicated. You keep busy, I'm going to rest."
Layla glanced at Isla, who smartly went to get the first aid kit.
As soon as Layla entered, she saw Thalia roll up her pant leg, revealing a large scraped and reddened knee.
"Thalia, are you playing a bit too wild? You're kneeling now?"
"I saw you fine yesterday, and this morning your knee is like this. What did you and Mr. Brown do all night?"
Thalia: ........
"You don't want to hear it? Let me rephrase - when you and Mr. Brown are researching human origins, can you please remember your identity as a celebrity?"
"A whole company of employees waiting for you to pay their salaries! Don't destroy yourself."
"Thalia, first aid kit."
When Isla came in and saw the wound on Thalia's knee, she gasped.
"Just treat it simply, go to the hospital after the shoot."
As soon as Isla left, she took out her phone and started gossiping with everyone.
She even created a group chat with Finn and John.
Isla: "Did something happen that I don't know about?"
John: "Got gossip?"
Finn: "Thalia jumped off a building"
Isla was stunned. So that's how Thalia's knee got that way? What could be so serious that she jumped off a building?
John: "Why?"
Finn replied concisely: "Marital fun"
John: "Getting married? The building-jumping kind?"
Sure enough, how high-IQ people date and marry isn't something ordinary folks like them can understand.
Isn't this just mutual destruction?
Thalia endured the pain and shot magazine photos all afternoon.
By evening, Thalia's knee was swollen like a pig's head, and John sent her to the People's Hospital.
"Thalia?"
"What happened to you?"
Amara was holding a lunch box, about to go to the cafeteria, hadn't even left the hospital entrance when she saw Thalia being carried in by John.
"Hurt my leg."
"Put her here, let me see."
Amara casually tossed her lunch box. Thalia rolled up her pant leg, and Amara was shocked by the swollen knee: "Did you get in a fight?"
"Pretty much!"
"With who?"
"William."
Amara: ........ "The kind with clothes on or the kind with clothes off?"
John's face instantly turned red hearing this. Do girls nowadays talk this directly?
Thalia: ........ "Is it possible that he took off his clothes while I kept mine on?"
Amara shook her head without thinking: "Impossible, William isn't that kind of person."
"He has no other strengths, but his only strength is that he's always been very clear about what he wants in life."
"Then is it possible he doesn't want me as his wife?"
Amara: ........ "Let me reduce the swelling first, then we'll get an X-ray to see if the bone is injured."
"Let John take me, you go eat!" Thalia looked at Amara's lunch box.
Amara shrugged indifferently: "I'll just order takeout later, you're most important."
After all the examinations, two hours had passed.
Amara looked at the X-rays: "The bone isn't injured, just rest for a few days and the swelling will go down."
"Thalia... this is bad, the entrance is blocked by reporters and fans."
Thalia had an ominous feeling: "Whose fans?"
"Your fans."
