Hence, she avoided looking at him as much as she could.
"You were what?" His brows lowered further.
"I wasn't here when you came in. I just got in and seeing you weren't in, I decided to leave. I was in the process of doing that before you.. you know, caught me Her eyes were looking at everything but him.
Kage scoffed. "It's not possible. Sylvie. I've only been in that bathroom for tens seconds. And there's no way in ten seconds. you came into my room, looked around for me and was about leaving. You didn't even knock? Because I'd have heard if you did. You didn't try to call out for me or anything?" He chuckled "You're a a terrible liar" Sylvie knew she was in trouble. This was not supposed to happen like this.
But
She wasn't the only n't the only one who had issues with 'not looking at Kage. Kage found what she wore... inappropriate for his eyes. He didn't exactly have issues with her revealing the baby bump, but what he did have issues with were her hard nipples poking at the small black singlet she wore. They gave an idea of her full breasts, and he didn't really like it. the understood it wasn't her fault, if only she could explain why the hell she was in his room dressed like that "Did you sneak in here while I was away?" His brows furrowed even more. Sylvie's silence confirmed his suspicions. "Now, why would you do that? Were you he looked around at his study table... snooping around? Looking for something?" Damn it. it. Now, Sylvie knew she had to to come up with a a really good lie. Fine!
! It's your cologne!" She rolled here eyes as she said.
Kage didn't quite get that, so she continued. "There's just one that I really like. It um... smells kind of fruity. You were wearing it when I returned today, I've been so drawn to it, it distracts me. So... she licked her lower lip which was becoming too dry I decided to come look for it it myself since you weren't in. I just wanted to spray it on me and satisfy my cravings. It comes with the she pointed at her bump you know?
"When I heard you coming, I didn't know what to do, but I sure didn't want you to see me in here and have the which was why I hid under the..." she gestured at the bed.. Kage scoffed, looking at her like she'd lost her mind. "You hid under the bed?" She bobbed. "In that condition?"
She chomped down on her lower lip, lowering her gaze. "What were you thinking. Sylvie!?"
wrong idea
Im sorry...she sighed. "Sorry I snuck in. I just didn't want you to think I was being ridiculous for asking for a perfume"
"Well, you're even more ridiculous for not asking. He walked to his perfume collections, picking out the one he knew she wanted - Zaire.
This?" He held it to her
She nodded in response. Indeed, she'd liked the perfume when she smelt it on him earlier that day, but of course, that wasn't the reason she was in his room.
As I she walked over to her, holding the perfume, her heart kept beating faster and faster. Oh, God, he shouldn't be coming at her, looking like that. She couldn't.. "Here," he held it out. "You can drink it up if you want."

She rolled her eyes. Typical Kage.
"You don't have to be rude with everything, you know?" She grumped as she collected it from him

"And you don't have to dress inappropriately to a guy's room, considering it was you who insisted on the whole 'boundary' rule
She gasped, glancing down at her singles. Her checks flushed with embarrassment when she realized what she had on was kind of revealing
"I didn't. I didn't expect to find you here, okay? Quit acting like I'm trying to impress you."
"Well, aren't you, really? 'Cause you make it seem that way, Sylvie
She scowled at him. "You'll always be a big time dreamer. Now, get away from me. It's wrong to stand in front of a lady, looking like this, she gave him a head to toe glare. Before he could say a word, she opened the door, rushing out
"Jerk," she muttered under her breath.
She looked at the perfume in her hand. It wasn't what she initially wanted, but she was glad she got it.
So, she didn't find anything implicating on Paul's case yet, but that didn't mean he was innocent, Sylvie was going to dig around some more
When she she was sealed i I in her room, she recalled the call Kage had been making. He'd been worried about Pulse-Wave. Even she had been worried about them and what they possibly had up their sleeves. She there with him when he met the CEO at the mall, and his words had been threatening
Reaching for her phone, she dialed Brian's number, her ex who she had seen with the CEO of Pulse-Wave at the mall.
Brian had reached out to her few days ago while she was at the hotel. He'd checked on her, claiming he was happy seeing her again.
He'd been trying to get them to have dinner since then, but Sylvie wasn't in the mood. But perhaps, now she was.
When he answered d the phone,
he was beyond delighted she called. They spoke over little things for a while before Sylvie told him her intent for calling to have dinner.
He was happier and told her he couldn't wait. They agreed to have it the next evening.
The following evening, Sylvie left for it wearing a long black dress, one that concealed her bump. She didn't know how long she could continue hiding it. It was getting bigger.
She met with Brian who led her into the classy restaurant.
"Wow. This is... it's nice," she looked away, truly bedazzled by the beauty of the place..
"Right I'm glad you like it."
They placed their orders, discussing little unimportant things in the process. They talked about life, work, friends.
