Chapter 107 Chapter 58

Chapter 107 Chapter 58
Lhalhaine tightly embraced her son Throne, who was sound asleep in her lap. She closed her eyes as she remembered the memories with Tyeron.

Every line went straight to her heart. Why did the pilot have to play that song out of all the songs? Was he trying to annoy her? She winced and just closed her eyes. With every passing hour, with every kilometer the plane covered, she felt as if she was being choked as she was carried further away from the man she loved, but she could do nothing but leave. Because she was so hurt, she didn't realize until later that she had slept soundly.

Meanwhile, Tyeron was seated inside the airplane. He's wondering how he'll explain everything to Lhalhaine, first that he remembered her, and second, that he already knows about Throne. That was the third time, and he still didn't know because he was sure there was another reason why she suddenly left—maybe because he was marrying Gleanne? If that's the case, he'll explain everything to the woman when they meet.

He sighed when he heard Mari's voice. Yes, Mari. Mikael just brought the woman even though it wasn't necessary, but he was really surprised because why were Shyra and Cyrex together but not at the same seat?

“Psst, Attorney!”

He turned around when he heard Shyra's voice.

“What?”

Shyra smiled, stood up suddenly, and then approached him.

“You want to get Lhalhaine back, don’t you? But Attorney, just a reminder for you, okay? That wasn't easy, especially when Lhalhaine arrived at their house carrying Throne and without a father to present. That's a mess, trust me, and it won't be solved even if you come. You won't escape her parents' range either. You got his only daughter pregnant before you were even married, oh my! You might lose your manhood, Attorney! Too bad, since your size is XL, is it?"Shyra said with a grin and went back to her seat.

He grabbed his crotch; just thinking about it made him feel like he was going to faint.

"Don't mind her; she's crazy," Cyrex said seriously.

He stared at his friend, feeling like he had found an ally.

“Yes, I'm crazy, Doc. Could you be my medicine? It’s because I'm crazy for you," Shyra flirted, winking at Cyrex, who just looked at her and then ignored her again.

"Keep your mouth shut, or I'll push you out of this airplane," Cyrex seriously threatened.

Shyra pouted and rolled her eyes.

Cyrex looked at him while Mikael put his arm around him.

“Lhalhaine had arrived at Iloilo Airport, dude. It looks like we won't be able to catch her, so what's your plan?” Mikael asked.

He became quiet. What's his plan anyway?

"Well, the important thing is that we catch them before they reach their house, because if we do, it'll be a mess," Shyra said.

Everyone nodded at what the woman said, including him.

"This is your fault, Mari!"

He stared at Mikael, who suddenly spoke. He saw Mari stand up.

“Why me? I have nothing to do with this; I'm just helping my friend because your friend hurt her. You men were never content with one woman!” The woman said.

“Not contented?” He wondered.

“Shut up, or I'll do it myself?” Mikael scolded Mari seriously just as she was about to say something.

The woman rolled her eyes and turned her back on Mikael. He stared at the two of them. Could it be that Lhalhaine saw something and misinterpreted it? He'll find out too when he sees the woman.

Lhalhaine felt a mixture of nervousness and excitement as the taxi stopped in front of their gate. She missed the place where she was born and raised, but she missed her family even more. Will her mother and father still accept her when they find out that the child they cherished is pregnant and has no father to present?

She wiped her tears and went downstairs, carrying Throne, who was sound asleep in her arms. Take a deep breath before you decide to ring the doorbell. Later, the door opened and she almost lost her breath from nervousness.

“Sister?” Binz exclaimed in surprise.

She smiled at him. "Me too, where are Mom and Dad?" she asked.

His gaze turned to what she was carrying.

“Whose child is that?’ he asked back.

She avoided eye contact. “How about Mom? Where are they?”

He saw the surprise on his brother's face. She passed by him and went straight inside. Her mother stopped setting the table when she saw her; her eyebrows furrowed as she stared at her father sitting to the side.

"Mom, Dad..." she called out to them softly.

She looked at Binz as he took Throne from her.

"Talk to them first; I'll take care of him," his brother whispered.

"Thank you," she said and turned to her mom and dad.

“What's happening, Meriel Lhalhaine Mandayog? Who is that child? Why didn't you say you were coming home? Is there something we should know that you're not telling us?” Her father asked a serious question.

She quickly stepped forward and took her father's hand.

“Dad, let me explain—”

“Answer my question: is he your child? Yes or no?” Her father's question was a bit loud.

She was so nervous she was about to cry. “Dad…”

“What is this, child? Answer, your father. He is asking you," her mother said gently.

“Mom…”

“What are you staring at over there? Answer me, is he your child?” Her father asked a serious question.

"Yes," she replied, crying.

She saw that her parents looked as if the sky and the earth had fallen on them.

“What? Why didn't you say earlier!? Why did you hide it from us? Where is the child's father? Her father's voice was loud as he asked the question.

“Oh my goodness! Meriel, what have you gotten yourself into! We didn't raise you like this!” her mother's tearful statement.

"Sorry, Ma, Pa... sorry—"

Her father slapped her. In all her life, this is the first time her father has hurt her.

“Get out of here! I don't have a liar and disgraceful child; I'm ashamed of you!!” Her father's furious hiss.

"Dad..." she said, trying to reach for him, but her father pushed her away.

With the strong force, she fell to the floor. “GET OUT!”

She got up crying and shook her head.

“You're not leaving? Do you want me to drag you out? As long as you don't have the father of the child with you, don't even think I'll forgive you for what you did!”

He grabbed her arm when she didn't answer. She couldn't say that Tyeron was Throne's father; she didn't want to complicate the man's life any further.

“GET OUT!” HER father shouted as they were at the gate.

"Mom..." she called out to her mother, hoping she would help her.

The lady shook her head, which made her cry even more.

"Don't do this, Dad–aw!" she wailed as her father grabbed her arm and forcefully pushed her out the gate.

So strong was the force that it threw him off balance, and she closed her eyes. She was wondering if she had hit her head hard enough for her father to forgive her, but she was surprised when someone caught her.

"Don't hurt Lhalhaine, sir—”

“Why are you here, Attorney? Don't interfere; this is a father-daughter—”

“I won't allow you to hurt the woman I love and the mother of my child. If you will have to punish someone then, punish me instead. I'm to blame for all of this; just hurt me if you want and spare Lhlhaiane," Tyeron bravely declared.

Yes, it's Tyeron; she was staring at the man's face. She didn't know, but tears just started flowing down her cheeks.

"I'm sorry, I'm late; don't cry, I'm here—"

“Why are you here? Isn't it your wedding today?"

Tyeron put his index finger to her lips.

"Shhh, there will be no wedding if you're not my bride," the man said seriously.

She just hugged the man, feeling a mix of emotions at that moment.
