Chapter 48 An Orphanage
Chapter 48 An Orphanage
Carol stared at the five people who suddenly appeared, feeling a bit dazed. Because among them were the thief, as well as the man and woman who had been arguing on the subway earlier.
Klein spread his hands, "Now you see it, right? First, two of them staged an argument, then the other three took advantage while everyone was distracted to secretly steal people's belongings."
"You guys... are really cunning."
Carol's face turned a bit red, not from embarrassment, but from anger. She couldn't believe that she, who prided herself on being smart, had almost fallen for this little scheme.
"Shut up, you bitch! If it weren't for that shout of yours, we would have succeeded today!"
The ugly woman pointed her finger at Carol, her tone extremely sharp.
"Stealing is wrong in the first place! You should find proper jobs!"
Carol called them out, but clearly, she had picked the wrong person to reason with.
"You think we don't want to? It's all this damn society's fault! If you don't even have a place to live, how are you supposed to find work? People like you have no idea what we're going through."
The ugly woman instantly flew into a rage, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.
The thief from before gripped his dagger tightly, staring at Klein with malicious intent.
"I admit you've got guts, but there are a lot of us now!"
The thief and the remaining four men surrounded Klein and Carol.
Although Carol was angry at their shameless behavior, she wasn't afraid at all. She had great confidence in Klein's fighting ability. After all, even Will's well-trained bodyguards couldn't beat Klein, let alone these street thugs.
"Klein, take care of them."
Carol angrily gave the order, but Klein's reaction surprised everyone.
"Are you crazy? He's got a knife! You want me to fight four armed thugs? Oh my god, you're so cruel!"
Klein clutched his chest and screamed, looking like a young girl about to be bullied.
Carol stiffly turned her head, looking at Klein in disbelief. What made her even more speechless was that this jerk Klein actually hid behind her.
"Oh my god, there are four of them, I'm so scared! Together they have eight hands and twelve legs!"
Even as the four thugs were about to surround Carol, she still felt puzzled. Why would four men have twelve legs? Normally, it should have eight legs.
"I suggest you hurry up and throw them your wallet and phone, maybe then they'll let us go!"
Klein deliberately lowered his voice, but in the dark alley, it sounded particularly clear.
"Even if you hand over all your money, we won't let this go. You must be punished!"
The thief's gaze moved back and forth between the two of them, finally settling on Carol with a sleazy smile in his eyes.
"I think you two can strip off your clothes and walk back to the subway station naked. If you do that, I don't mind cutting you a little less."
The thief's gaze remained fixed on Carol. Even though this woman was dressed plainly, her figure was still outstanding.
Carol was shaking with anger and kicked Klein in the butt.
"Enough, how long are you going to keep playing around? They're about to attack."
Klein patted his butt and said nonchalantly, "Let me say this first - if you strip her clothes, you can't strip mine. I'll catch a cold."
"Your clothes, I'll strip them myself!"
The ugly woman pushed the thief aside, her eyes constantly scanning Klein's body, with a satisfied look.
Klein looked at the woman's several hundred pounds and couldn't help but shudder.
"Let's forget it, lady. I don't want to work hard all night only to have you tell me that was just your skin fold."
"You're insulting me!"
The ugly woman was the leader of this group. Her thick fingers pointed viciously at Klein.
"Beat this guy up and tie him up. Tonight, I'm going to have my way with him!"
The four men rushed forward at once, trying to control Klein's limbs.
Klein's face turned cold as he kicked one of them hard in the crotch. The man clutched his groin, his face pale, screamed, and fell to his knees.
"Now there are eleven legs left."
The remaining three men instinctively clenched their legs together, but Klein wouldn't give them any time to react. With a simple kick to each person, the fight was over in less than ten seconds.
Only the ugly woman remained. She could see that Klein was no ordinary person, but still showed no fear.
"So what if you can fight? I'm not afraid of physical attacks at all."
The ugly woman was extremely confident in her layers of fat. She slapped her chest hard, making the fat on her body jiggle violently.
Klein tentatively kicked out, and it felt like kicking into a mass of sticky fat - all his force was absorbed. The ugly woman only took one step back, completely unharmed.
"Just serve me obediently, I'll take good care of you." The ugly woman reached her thick fingers toward Klein, her face wearing a lustful smile.
The next second, the woman's body flew like a heavy object hit by a missile, crashing heavily into the wall and directly collapsing it.
One of the ugly woman's thick legs stuck out from the broken wall, twitched twice, then stopped moving.
The scene fell silent. Everyone's eyes were focused on Klein, who was still holding his kicking position.
"Damn it, forcing me to use my full strength."
Klein's expression was fierce. He had never been in the habit of being treated as a plaything. With his build, if this ugly woman pressed down on him, his bones might break on the spot.
When Klein withdrew his foot, the thief and his three companions all became like frightened quails, not daring to make a sound.
"Now I'm giving you two choices - either strip naked and get back to the subway station, or I call the police directly."
"We choose the first one!"
The thieves made their choice without hesitation, leaving both Klein and Carol stunned.
"Well, I still underestimated how shameless these jerks are."
Carol shook her head helplessly and turned to walk toward the alley exit. She didn't want to watch a group of people undress.
Klein didn't really care, but he suddenly remembered something.
"Do you guys know if there used to be an orphanage here?"
The thugs who were undressing all froze, then simultaneously turned their gaze to the thief from before.
"You mean the Sunshine Angels Orphanage?"
Carol suddenly stopped in her tracks. She looked at Klein curiously. So the building he had been searching for all along was actually an orphanage.
