Chapter 118

Chapter 118

"Who the hell are you? Who let you in here?" The man yelled, clutching his bleeding forehead as he stepped closer to Rachel.

Rachel found herself cornered, a cold glint in her eyes. She glanced at Kevin.

Kevin remained impassive, not reacting at all.

Rachel bit her lip and said, "She didn't come to Elysium Hideaway willingly. You guys are illegally detaining women."

"This is the contract she signed with Elysium Hideaway herself. She willingly sold herself to us. It's all written in black and white!" The manager pulled out a contract and showed it to Rachel.

Rachel's face froze after reading it.

Sarah sobbed, "You forced me to sign it!"

"You signed it, and now you want to back out? Too late. Do you think you can just come and go as you please here?"

The manager's eyes narrowed with anger. She looked at Rachel with a mocking smile. "So, what are you going to do now? You've already assaulted someone."

"Mr. Nguyen is a valued guest of ours. He has spent tens of thousands of dollars here! You beat him up and ruined his night!"

The manager glanced at the bodyguards beside her. They loomed menacingly, their presence overwhelming.

Rachel felt the pressure and took a step back. Several black-clad bodyguards blocked the door, refusing to budge.

Rachel took a deep breath and said, "Who knows if your contract is even legally binding."

"We have a lawyer right here. If you want, we can settle this in court!" Rachel sneered, "Would an illegal operation like yours dare to go to court?"

Despite her words, Rachel was unsure. She didn't know if her words would provoke them.

The manager's cold gaze fixed on Rachel. "As long as there are people and money, what can't be solved? Do you think your small influence can stand against the capital behind Elysium Hideaway? Dream on!"

Rachel's face tightened. She took a deep breath and held Sarah's hand tightly.

Sarah looked at Rachel cautiously, her voice trembling, "Maybe you should leave me. Find my father, he's a cop."

As soon as she said that, the manager's eyes darkened, a sneer forming on her lips.

Rachel pushed Sarah towards the manager. "I'll take her place. Whatever you want me to do to make amends, I'll do it."

"Sorry, this girl offended someone she shouldn't have. Even if you offer yourself, it won't help." The manager crossed her arms and looked at Rachel coldly.

Rachel's eyes darkened.

Sarah looked at the manager in disbelief. "Who did I offend?"

"How would I know? Ask your father. Do you think we went to all this trouble to bring you here for no reason?"

"It might be your father. A cop tries to play hero and offends some big shot—typical story, isn't it?"

The manager's eyes glinted with a sly smile.

Rachel felt a chill at the manager's words. She knew exactly what the manager meant. Rachel clenched her fists, saying nothing.

At this moment, Kevin finally spoke up, "Could this be something my dad got involved in?"

The manager looked at Kevin in surprise. "Mr. Smith, you're here too!"

"I came to have dinner with some friends and found my stepmom beating up one of my buddies!" Kevin said, his tone casual.

The man with dyed hair jumped up, pointing at Kevin. "This woman is your stepmom?"

The manager was stunned, looking between Rachel and Kevin. "You two are family?"

Rachel pressed her lips together, saying nothing.

Kevin crossed his arms. "I know my dad ordered you to do this, but let me tell you, Rachel is my stepmom. Anyone who messes with her messes with me!"

"My dad has a lot of influence in the government, enough to have you detain a girl here. But if you don't release her, I'll report this to the oversight committee!"

"If this blows up and the oversight committee investigates..." Kevin paused deliberately, his tone lersure. "You wouldn't like what follows."

The manager was stunned. She looked at Kevin in disbelief. "You could really shut down Elysium Hideaway? Your dad has a stake in this place!"

"So what? If I decide to do something, no one can stop me," Kevin said with a lazy smile.

The manager lowered her gaze, clenching her fists. "How am I supposed to explain this to your dad? He specifically ordered me to keep an eye on this girl, Sarah Robinson, and arrange guests for her."

"Has my dad ever met this Sarah girl?" Kevin asked, raising an eyebrow.

The manager was stunned, unsure of Kevin's point.

Kevin smiled. "Find a girl who looks like Sarah to replace her. It's not a big deal. You have plenty of girls here. If you can't find an exact match, get someone who looks similar and have her undergo some cosmetic surgery."

The manager's expression froze, looking at Kevin, speechless.

Kevin leaned back on the sofa, lazily glancing at the manager. "If you don't follow my plan, I'll file a report, and no one will be able to do business here!"

The manager sighed. "You and your father are really out to get us, huh?"

Kevin smiled without a word.

The manager took a deep breath, shooting Sarah a glare. "You're lucky you know Mr. Smith's stepmom. Otherwise, I wouldn't let you go so easily."

She signaled the bodyguards to step back.

To ensure Elysium Hideaway's business could continue, the manager had no choice but to take the risk and follow Kevin's plan. Despite Kevin being Isaac's son and usually a spoiled rich kid, he could be just as ruthless as his father when he wanted to be.

The manager had seen Kevin and Isaac compete before. Kevin's company almost overshadowed Isaac's. But for some reason, that company eventually went bankrupt. This story had been circulating in their circles for a long time.
