Chapter 116: Revenge, Part II

Isabelle’s Point of View:

I was terrified. I was in a rented out apartment on the East side of the city, with no sign of anyone trying to save me. My heart was racing, my head was already exploding from the stress, but there was no way around it.

There was no use in running because he had tied a band to my leg that only he could unlock, and it had a GPS system. The special part was that if I tried to leave, it would send an electric shock through my body. I didn’t even have the strength to try running away anyway.

There was no use fighting because Cole had become much more muscular than the last time I had seen him in the UK. He was much stronger, and much more invincible as compared to me.

“I would’ve pictured this night much more… hotter,” I heard his voice from behind me as he entered the bedroom he had kept me in. I closed my eyes, willing myself to be strong enough to endure this. I turned around. “It would’ve been, if it was a consensual act.”

“Oh I have a document that says it is,” He smiled, almost making his evil face look innocent. “And you better act like it is, for your own sake. If you make this hard for me, I’ll make it fucking hard for you and, well… you don’t want that.”

I took a deep breath. Okay, I needed to get it together. It was one night. It’d be over by tomorrow morning and I would be fine.

“After tonight, you’ll be done with your.. Revenge, right?” I asked, hoping to seek some relaxation, that tonight was the first and the last time I was in this situation.

“Yes, baby,” He said as he came closer, “But tonight’s gonna be a long, long night and you don’t want it to feel like revenge. Got it?”

I nodded, silent tears pooling at the edge of my eyes. He joined our lips in a small, sensual kiss—disgusting me to my core but I kept my face and kissed him back.

Suddenly, I heard the window breaking and we parted in a jerk. I ran to the other side of the room, anticipating what was happening and a few men entered the room from the rope which seemed to fall from the sky. It was probably a helicopter.

I saw Achilles come in and look at me. “Achilles?” I asked but he pulled me by my hand. “You have to climb the rope and leave.”

“Ah…” I was scared as fuck, but decided it was better than what was gonna happen. I mustered up the courage and climbed the rope back into the helicopter. Apparently everyone had already climbed down, except for the pilot and I was immediately flown away from the place to their base.

Achilles’ Point of View:

After I left the warehouse, I went straight to the base. Our IT workers knew where Cole had an apartment, and we immediately made all the arrangements necessary. Getting a plane wasn’t difficult because we had many private jets for Roman Industries. I knew I had to fight Cole head-on, there was no other option left. After letting Isabelle out of the place, I went against him. His face was enough to make my head burn in rage, but I had to be a little calm.

“You’re making a mistake!” He shouted at us, and chuckled. “The Blood Ravens will kill you if you hurt me. You’d be waging a war against the deadliest mafia in the world!”

“And you touched my wife,” I said, anger boiling at my nerves. “You’re a dead man either way.”

He chuckled. “Don’t be so cocky—”

I pointed a gun at him, and he couldn’t find a gun before he was surrounded by all of my people. “Call Anna. I want this war to happen.”

He didn’t have any other choice so he picked out his phone and called Anna. I took the phone from his hand.

“Anna,” I said on the call.

“Look who decided to call,” She said, a little chuckle leaving her mouth. “What, did you steal Cole’s phone?”

“More like he’s in front of me, helpless, surrounded by my people.”

“If you even so lay a hand on him—”

“What? You’ll start a war between us?” I chuckled. “I’m game, baby. But I have one condition.”

“And what’s that?” she asked after a moment, hopefully intimidated by why I was so confident.

“Since you are always on your high horse, I want you to lead your mafia during this war,” I said and laughed, “Unless, you believe you are nothing without your father.”

I knew that would work like a charm to convince her, so the next second her ego got the better of her. She was an extremely bad leader, with no experience in ever doing anything of her own. If anything, she could probably lose even after having the best mafia under her command. It wasn’t a perfect shot, but it would significantly increase our chances of winning.

“You’ll lose either way, Achilles. My mafia is ten times stronger than yours. And I’m a better leader than you.” She said, slightly rageful at the comment.

“Then you must have no problem in this fight,” I said, “Choose a location and a date. I want this fight to be fair, with each of our men getting enough time to prepare.”

“This friday. In the abandoned town of Bodie, California.”

“Fine. I guess we’ll finally fight, Anna.”

She let out a mockingful scoff and ended the call. My eyes shifted toward Cole, who was slightly scared now. “I could’ve spared your life, but you crossed the limit.”

“No, Achilles, please—”

Without blinking, I shot him in the forehead.
