Sample chapter 3
"Mr. Thomas, he was an admiral..." Willa began, but was interrupted by the woman before she could finish. "Oh! A few men in black suits were just coming out of the hospital with him, and still..." When she finished speaking and looked up, Willa had disappeared. "...in a black car a long time ago," she finished, looking surprised. Her eyes darted down the hallway, searching for Willa. Willa stood anxiously outside the hospital building, her eyes searching everywhere to find the van. As she turned to head back to the hospital, a black van passed in front of her. "Hey, miss," a voice said from behind. Willa was surprised and shrugged reflexively. "What are you doing?" he asked. "Mr. Damien, I... I," Willa stammered a bit, trying to hide her tears. "He's been taken..." She began to cry again before Damien could comfort her. "Here," Damien handed her a white handkerchief. Willa took it. "Thank you," her voice was barely above a whisper. "Wipe away your tears, you'll ruin your beauty." He spoke to her and smiled. Willa tried to force a smile. "You know, you could hire me for your law practice." Damien broke the silence between them. Willa looked up at him in surprise. "But …" I mean... hiring you would cost money, and I don't have the money for that." Her voice rang with her pain and conflict in Damien's ears. "Who told you to pay me!" Damien replied in a sarcastic tone. "What do you mean?" Willa asked. Damien sighed and licked his lips before answering her. "Let's go to my office and discuss this in more detail." He smiled mischievously, walked her to his car, and drove off in a hurry. >>>
The Walters were sitting quietly in the marriage counseling office, sitting close to each other, but they couldn't make an emotional connection with each other. Then the marriage counselor broke the silence as she came in and said, "Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Walters."
"Good morning..." they replied, looking at each other with their eyes downcast. When she stopped, the counselor looked at her quizzically. "Okay!" And she sat down in a soft leather chair. "So, where are we..."
Mr. Walter quickly interrupted her. "Listen, I just want a divorce. I'm sick of her," he said in an angry tone. "Did you see?" Mr. Walter looked at his advisor. "You're amazing, I regret the day we got married..." Mrs. Walter said, rolling her eyes in disgust at her husband, after which he said goodbye. "Oh! Did you see that? She doesn't respect me. Mr. Walter spoke in a light voice, but his voice was sharp." The marriage counselor sat back in her chair. She placed her left hand on the chair and supported her chin as she watched the drama unfold before her. In the middle of the couple's conversation. Walter, the marriage counselor, interrupted her with a single word: "Instead of getting a divorce, why don't you two take a vacation together?"
The Walters turned and looked at the marriage counselor in shock. "What!" they both exclaimed. "No... no, this idea..." Walter said. "... is terrible," Walter concluded. The marriage counselor leaned forward at his desk and said: "Maybe you two just need some time to explore the world together..." She crossed her fingers before continuing. Sometimes couples just need a little vacation to understand each other better. To be alone. ”
Mrs. Walter nodded in agreement and pressed her lower lip against her upper lip. Mr. Walter saw his wife’s reaction and said, “No, no!” and sat down in his chair. “That’s the best option, Mr. Walter,” said the advisor. “If you have to get a divorce, you have to give her 80% of your assets,” she added, gesturing to Mr. Walter. Mr. Walter sat quietly in his chair, his eyes showing confusion. He looked at his wife, who gave a bitter smile. Then he sighed heavily. "Okay, I'll go, but I'll decide where to go."
"I think I understand why you two want a divorce, Mr. Walter," the marriage counselor said. Walter's eyes widened a little. "So what is it?"
"So you don't involve your wife in your decision making," she replied.
Walter was shocked to hear this and replied in a gentle voice, "Let's start our vacation." They left the office, went home, and made plans for their vacation, but everyone had other plans in mind. >>>
Willa sat in Damane's office, admiring the luxury items and colors on the walls. She wondered, "I wonder if he makes money by offering his expertise in legal matters?" He must have some other way of making a lot of money.' Searching for answers to the questions racing through her mind, her eye fell on a certificate engraved into the glass which stated in bold letters:
Entrepreneurship of the Year. As if reading her mind, Damien said, "I love exploring and expanding my options to earn a sustainable income." Damien's words distracted Willa and brought her back to reality.
"I get it!" Willa said quietly, barely above a whisper. She smiled gently, looking directly into Damien's eyes, then tilted her head slightly. "So..." she lifted her head slightly before continuing. How am I going to pay for the lawyer's fees?"
Damien smiled and leaned back in his seat. "You're going to be my lover!" Willa blinked and scoffed at the same time, "I'm sorry... did you say something?" Her eyes were wide and she spoke in disbelief. "You heard me well," Damien said, leaning forward towards the desk. "You want to save your father, right..." Willa quickly interjected. "Yes, but not like this!" "But it's the only way," Damien said, leaning back in his seat. "And the way I see it, he's not on bail. So the only way to get him out of jail is to prove his innocence."
Willa bowed her head and buried it in her palms, tears rolling down her cheeks. The next words that came out of Damane's mouth shocked her to her heart. Her eyes were wide with shock, she couldn't believe the words he had just heard.
