Chapter 103 Your Disaster is Blown

Chapter 103 Your Disaster is Blown
El Patrio couldn't resist the opportunity to add more fuel to the already volatile situation. With a sly smile, he opened the brown envelope, revealing a collection of documents neatly organized inside. He handled them with theatrical care, as if relishing the tension in the room.

"Now, Father," El Patrio began, his voice dripping with drama, "let's see what we have here, shall we?"

The Beast watched with a mixture of curiosity and dread as El Patrio extracted the documents from the envelope one by one, placing them on the table before him.

"These documents", El Patrio announced with a flourish, "prove your deep affiliations with the current politicians of Connecticut. They show the heinous atrocities you've committed on their behalf, your embezzlement schemes alongside them, and even a little something extra." He held up a disc, the contents of which seemed to fill him with delight.

The Beast's eyes widened as he recognized the significance of what El Patrio held in his hands. The room seemed to grow colder as the gravity of the situation sank in.

"And what's on that disc, you ask?" El Patrio continued, his tone laced with malicious enjoyment. "Oh, just a little video footage of you, Father, in a rather compromising situation. Remember that prominent individual you eliminated in a fit of rage? Well, it's all captured here."

The Beast's expression shifted from curiosity to shock and then to seething anger. He couldn't believe that his own son had managed to obtain such damning evidence against him.

"You little..." The Beast began, his voice trembling with fury, but El Patrio interrupted him.

"Now, now, Father, let's not resort to name-calling," El Patrio taunted. "After all, I thought family was important to you. But it seems family is only valuable when it serves your interests."

The Beast clenched his fists, his rage barely contained. He had always prided himself on his ability to manipulate and control situations, but now he found himself at the mercy of his own flesh and blood.

El Patrio leaned back in his chair, a self-satisfied grin on his face. "So, Father, here's the deal. You give me what I want, and I'll consider not sharing these lovely documents and videos with the world. But make no mistake, if you refuse, your empire will crumble, and your secrets will be exposed."

The room seemed to hang in a precarious balance, the power dynamic between father and son shifting with each passing moment. El Patrio had played his hand boldly, and now it was up to the Beast to decide how to respond to this dramatic revelation.

Sergio, Rick, and Mia watched in silence, the weight of the situation pressing down on them.

The Beast leaned back in his chair, his face a mask of contemplation as he weighed the options before him. El Patrio's dramatic revelation had certainly put him in a vulnerable position, but he was not one to easily succumb to threats.

After a tense silence that seemed to stretch on, the Beast finally spoke, his voice laced with cold determination. "You think these documents and videos can control me, El Patrio? You underestimate me. I've always been the one to clean up your messes, to eliminate those who posed a threat. It's no different now."

El Patrio's expression shifted from smug satisfaction to shock and disbelief. He had expected his father to at least consider his demands, but the Beast's refusal to surrender to his threat caught him off guard.

"You're willing to risk everything?" El Patrio questioned, his voice shaking with a hint of desperation. "Your empire, your reputation, it can all come crashing down."

The Beast's gaze remained unwavering as he replied, "I've faced greater threats than this, El Patrio. I won't bow down to your blackmail. It would be easier to clean up this mess when you are dead, as I've always done."

El Patrio realized that his bold move had backfired, leaving him in a precarious position. His father's resolve was unshaken, and he had no intention of giving in to his demands.

"So what now? You kill me?" El Patrio asked, his voice shaking.

The Beast chuckled again, this time very loud. "Not so quick, how about we have a show. Anyone?" He asked, looking at everyone in the room. They all looked confused, not knowing what he meant or what he wants. "Has everyone suddenly become slow as my little prince right here?" He asked, sarcastically.

The Beast's laughter echoed through the room as he seemed to revel in the chaos he had created. His suggestion for a "show" left everyone in the room puzzled and apprehensive, unsure of what he had in mind.

Sergio, Rick, and Mia exchanged bewildered glances, but before anyone could respond, Rick, with a mixture of surprise and recognition, blurted out, "Mia? What are you doing here?"

The blood from Cody's blood flows to where Mia knelt. She was irritated and move swiftly away from it. This allowed Rick who had not been looking in her side to see her face clearly.

"Mia?" He asked, surprised. "What are you doing here?"

Mia shot him a desperate look, a silent plea for him to remain silent about her identity. She knew that her presence there could jeopardize their mission, and she had been trying to maintain her cover.

The Beast's curiosity was piqued as he turned his attention to Rick. "Mia? Interesting. Care to explain, Rick?"

Rick hesitated for a moment, torn between his desire to protect Mia and the need to answer the Beast's question. Eventually, he couldn't contain himself and revealed, "Mia is my wife."

The room fell into a stunned silence. El Patrio's eyes widened as he absorbed this revelation, while the Beast regarded the situation with an air of detached amusement.

"Your wife, you say?" the Beast mused. "How quaint." He turned to El Patrio "I see how you manage situation so well. You even fell into a trap laid by a common woman." He continued to laugh, amused by the turnout of events.

He then turn back to Mia, "So, Mia, have you come to save your baby or your husband?"

Mia, her cover now exposed, felt a sense of dread. She knew that her true purpose was to save Rick, but the Beast's question put her in an uncomfortable position.

Before Mia could respond, El Patrio interjected, his anger and frustration evident. "She's not the mother of the baby!" he exclaimed, "except I am now blind or she is probably under make-up" his voice dripping with venom. He looked at Mia whose expression affirms that he is correct "She's definately not the mother."

El Patrio's revelation sent shockwaves through the room. The Beast's gaze shifted from Mia to Rick, a cold smile playing on his lips.

"So, Rick, you've been busy, I see. Fathering a child with another woman while your wife is here to save you. Your adulterer could not even come here to save her own baby not to talk of saving you. Impressive."

Rick, realizing that he had inadvertently exposed his own guilt, felt a wave of shame wash over him. He had never intended for his personal life to be laid bare in front of the criminal masterminds they were dealing with.

El Patrio, on the other hand, was seething with anger. He turned to Mia. "So it was all planned, you were messing with me? You dare mess with El Patrio?" He raised his gun, his finger trembling on the trigger, ready to shoot Mia in his rage.

But before he could carry out his threat, the Beast intervened, his voice cold and calculating. "Stop, El Patrio. She's not guilty. She's here to save her husband, unlike you, who would sacrifice anyone for your own gain."

El Patrio's anger was palpable, but he reluctantly lowered his gun, realizing that the Beast had a point. The room was filled with tension and a sense of unfinished business as they grappled with the new dynamics of their situation. "I am my father's son after all" El Patrio mumbled under his breadth but was loud enough for everyone in the room to hear.

"Is that so? Then let see how you prove that to us all." The Beast concluded, still smiling in amusement. "Game time!" He exclaimed but he is the only one excited.
