Chapter 85
Emeralds POV

My clothes were suddlenly gone and now I had a beautiful lavender dress that matched my eyes. The dress wasn't skin tight but just about. It went over one shoulder and across my breasts keeping them contained and covered up, leaving my back and stomach open as it wrapped around my waist going all the way to an two inches above the floor. The dress had a shimmering effect in it that gave the effect of little diamonds every time I moved. My shoes which were flats were the same way. I loved it. "Wow."
"You are welcome. Now you look like the true goddess in which you are." She said as she admired her handiwork.
I smiled, "Thank you. How can I repay you?"
"You do not have to. You are my daughter in law. Human traditions or not, the soul mate bond proved that." She said.
"How did you know that we made it official?" I asked curiously.
"Well, the mark my dear. You see you had a mark that was always hidden but now that the soul mate bond is complete. The mark revealed itself. Do you not see it?" She asked.
I looked at my arms and legs and didn't see anything.
She took my shoulder and pointed to my right shoulder.
I hurried over to look in the mirror by the front door so I could see the symbol. It was all black. It looked like sword and shield but surrounded by a pointed sun. It was very intricate of a tattoo. It had vines connecting all three items together with a couple small black roses with thorns.
"It is the mark of the Thorns. Every family has a mark, a family crest as what you call them. This is ours." She said.
I nodded, "Its beautiful."
"Are you ready my dear?" She asked.
"Yes. I guess so." I said.
Without anything else being said, she took my hand and whisked me to Tolopos. I shook my head to clear it because here I am thinking we were taking a car, a taxi, walking even. But nope we teleported without her giving me any kind of warning.
I looked around once I got my bearings as she stood next to me, realizing her mistake. "I should have warned you. I am sorry my dear."
"That's okay." I said as I stood there looking at my surroundings. It was a big gold and white building with huge pillars over a huge ornate door. There was a huge water fountain in front of it shaped like four fishes. And everything was surrounded by white puffy clouds. There wasn't even ground it was just white fluffy clouds that we somehow stood on. The stone work to this place was made out of marble and was everything was so intritcately decorated it was amazing to see the way the pictures looked. It looked the building itself was trying to tell a story with how the pictures looked.
She took me by the hand as I still stood there dumb founded and amongst the people that were walking in and out of the buildings took my up the stairs and into the building.
I walked in and stores were just as intricate as the outside. The place seemed more busy on the inside. People were walking in and out of all kinds of different stores. "Um, I don't mean to be rude but how do I pay for anything if I see something that I like? I don't think places like this accept cash."
"You would be right my dear. Here." She said.
She handed me what looked like a black credit card.
"You guys take credit cards?" I asked.
"No. See all this says on it is our name. There is no numbers on it like a credit card as you call it. We scan the card so our name registers. Now at the end of the day what will happen is our name goes through the system and by magic calculates everything we bought based of our name and will subtract it from our accounts." She said.
"Oh." I said.
"Now taking a look around where would you like to go first?" She said.
"To this one I guess." I pointed out what looked like a clothing store. "Let's go in here."
She followed me and everythign looked so pretty and expensive. There was no way that I was going to be able to afford anything in here.
"Maybe we should try a different shop." I said.
"Why?" She asked.
"You see this all looks too expensive." I said.
"Oh, my dear Emerald. Money is not important here. Yes all these items cost money but you are a Thorn now. You could buy these items a million times over and would not even make a dent in how much money we truly have. Now please whatever you see that you like we will get. If not I will pick out items and granted I have great taste I would want you to pick something you will like to wear." She said.
I nodded.
I went through the clothing racks and on one manequin I found this perfect royal purple dress. It was gorgeous. It had no sleeves or anything, an empire waist with a gorgeous diamond circle in the front. I looked around and this was the only purple color I seen in this store. They had lavender's and mauves but this exact shade of purple was not seen anywhere else in the whole store. The bottom of the dress was lifted just slightly in the front so nobody would trip over while in the back it had a small train. The back had a low back stopping just above where the butt would start. I wanted this dress. It was a weird thing to say but it was almost like the dress was like calling out to me. I was mesmerised by this dress. I knew I had to have it even though I had never felt this way about a piece of clothing before.
I didn't know if there were even sale associates to help me. I stood there trying to see if there were any around when three women around my age bumped into me.
I got jostled pretty good but didn't fall down.
"Excuse me, what do you think you are doing looking at my dress?" asked the leader of the three. She had bright red hair and these golden green eyes that were so bright that they glittered. She wore an all green dress with green four inch high heels and had a hand on her hip. The other two women were standing next to her with thier hands on thier hip as well. One wore a blue dress and the other were a red dress.
"Your dress?" I asked in surprise.
"Yes my dress." She said.
"Its still on the manequin how is it your dress?" I asked.
"Everything I want I get and this dress is just that. I want this dress." She said snobby.
"Oh." I said.
"Plus with your looks you couldn't afford this place even if you wanted to." She said as she flipped her hair over her shoulder as she stared at me.
