Chapter 79

Jeremy’s POV

I was actually excited about the prospect of living with Emerald. She wasn’t bad to live with. Since she was so much like me where we were both neat and organized we balanced each other out as well as made each other better.

Over the next week I realized it was as if we always lived together. We loved to hang out with each other in the evenings. We loved to just be around each other. We had great discussions when we ate at dinner time and talked about everything. We talked about how our days went at work to talking about the weather, the news, family stories which we had plenty of. What our favorite thing to do was read books and discuss them. To most people they would probably find that boring but we loved to hear what the others persons thoughts were. We also loved board games because we were very competitive. She wasn’t more than I was. I found that out pretty quickly when we played monopoly and she had to pay my hotel fee. She was angry as a hornets nest. She even flipped the board over without even touching it. Her feelings were that strong which made it happen. We laughed about it afterwards but in that moment realized that we still had to practice every night. Especially if her emotions weren’t under control then something happened it could have turned into a catastrophe. We were lucky it was just the board game that flipped itself over.

We had made it such a routine with each other. From The time we woke up to the time we went to bed. It wasn’t a boring routine. For us we actually looked forward to the routine every day. I wanted to see what she thought of my island house today and then decided today would be the perfect time to tell her I love her. Which I did wholeheartedly.

I knew her friends were coming over to my house as well so I didn’t want to do it then. I wanted to wait until it was just us two to make it a private moment. I didn’t really have a game plan and nor did I talk to anyone about it so I was nervous about it. She seemed like she loved me with her actions and words so I figured today would be the perfect day to do it.

I was in my bedroom on my island and wanted to get my decorations perfect. I was in the middle of poofing heart shaped balloons in and out, along with rose petals, bouquets, and candles when I heard a pop from behind me. Suddenly I heard, “Oooh sexy is this for me?!”

I turned around to see Theo in red and black today.

“No. Unfortunately not. Maybe for your birthday I’ll get you some bouquets.” I said as I again rearranged them.

“Oooh are you proposing to Emerald?” Clapped Theo squealing in excitement as he danced around the room.

“No at least not yet.” I said.

“Are you doing the soulmate bond tonight?” He asked excitedly as he spun making his hair fly with him.

“No. And will you stop spinning around? I am trying to move things around for today.” I said as I really was trying to stay focused on the task at hand.

“Well, if you’re not doing any of those things then I don’t get it.” He said as he stopped spinning in excitement and decided to pout instead.

“Don’t you remember I am bringing Emerald and her friends over to the house?” I asked him.

“Yeah and?” He asked.

“Well afterwards I was going to see at least for tonight if she wanted to stay here. But I also wanted to tell her privately after everybody went home that I love her.” I said as I poofed out pink roses and brought in red ones.

“Aaaaaahhhhh!” Theo screamed, wrapping his arms around me from behind wailing, “My sexy number one is growing up!”

“Theo let go of me!” I laughed as I pulled myself out of his grasp.

He let go making a handkerchief appear, dabbing at his eyes, wailing, “I’m just excited. I always knew it would be you that would find love first.”

“Thanks.” I said.

“Does anyone else know?” He asked.

“No, not yet.” I said.

“Oh? So I’m the first? I feel so loved.” He said.

“You got told because you saw what I was doing.” I said as I still moved things around.

“Can I help decorate? Can I be here when you tell her? Can I be here later on with everybody? I’m your friend too. I can help you tell her. I can—“ he started ranting getting ideas in his head.

“Yes you can help me decorate. No you can’t be here when I tell her. Yes you can be here later as long as you promise not to say anything to anyone. Not to Emerald not to her friends not to Luke.” I said.

“Is Luke coming tonight?” He asked.

“I don’t know. I sent a message a little while ago but haven’t heard back yet. He’ll probably pop in like he always does.” I said as I tried to put roses in the room.

“Here why don’t we put some roses of different colors? Like her favorite color is purple so we can do purple petals on the bed.” suggested Theo.

“Thank you.” I said as I poofed on purple rose petals.

“Now we can do red for the nightstands but smaller vases with bouquets. Then this way you have room to put a couple candles.” suggested Theo as he walked over and poofed it in to show me what he meant. “See? The bouquets don’t have to be huge to get your love message across.”

“I see what you mean.” I said.

“Good.” He said.

“Then should I even do rose petals on the floor since I have them on the bed?” I asked.

“Yes, of course darling!” He squealed clapping his hands. “You want to make Em feel special, don’t you?”

“Yeah.” I said.

“So keep the purple ones in a heart shape on the bed. The red bouquets on the nightstand. But why don’t we do red and white petals from the door leading to the bed?” He asked.

“I think that is a great idea.” I said.

“Okay then.” Theo said and poofed the rose petals in. “Now are you doing like the rest of the house or no?”

“I was going to but then I realized that with her friends here that it probably wouldn’t be the best idea. So I was thinking is once everybody’s gone to just poof everything in the bedroom and take her up here.” I said.

“Why don’t you poof it in downstairs leading up to your bedroom with rose petals but just get her to turn around or close her eyes or something after everybody leaves?” Suggested Theo.

“Honestly that’s a good idea. I didn’t even realize that. I could.” I said.

“Come on, I’ll help you decorate the rest of the house because lord honey do you need the help.” He said.

“I do not but for right now I’ll let you help me.” I said as I took him out of the room and led him down the stairs to the front hall to finish the rest of the house.
