Chapter 209

Chapter 209
Sammy turned around and gave her a sweet smile: "The four of us haven't gotten together in a long time. We were thinking about going out to play. Mommy, Jill said you often take them to the water park, and she said it's really fun there. We want to go too. Can you take all four of us?"

"Of course I don't mind, I can definitely take you guys." Jane touched his little head and agreed without hesitation, then looked at the video screen. "It's just that, for Jack and Jill's side, it's not very convenient for them to go out, right?"

In the video, Jack also stopped what he was doing and faced the camera.

Jane thought that John would never let those two go out alone.

"We can crawl through the doggy door to meet up with Mommy." Jill spoke quickly without thinking much, and the words just came out.

"No way." Jane refused without a second thought.

Although these two kids were used to being independent abroad and had never gotten into any trouble, this was back home. She had so many enemies, and Anna was still lurking in the shadows, watching her. She didn't feel safe letting these two little ones run out alone.

Besides, once John discovered the two little ones were missing, he would immediately launch a big search. If he found out there were two more kids, everything would be exposed.

"Then how about..."

"No!"

Before her daughter could finish, Jane refused again.

As soon as that little girl's eyes started rolling, she knew what the little girl was thinking.

Before at the haunted house and the art exhibition, it was just lucky that she and John didn't run into each other. Besides, at the art exhibition, didn't she discover that these four little ones were together?

Now they wanted to try sneaking around again.

Was John that easy to fool?

"Then what should we do, Mommy?" Sammy asked worriedly.

Sophie was also looking at her hopefully.

Jane sighed and said, "Forget it, you four just be patient a little longer. Later when we're all reunited, Mommy will take all four of you together. This time, Mommy will just take Sammy and Sophie."

Jack nodded without much reaction.

He never showed his emotions, and besides, playing around didn't interest him that much anyway.

Jill was a bit disappointed, though not about the water park - she had been there many times. She was just disappointed she couldn't play with Sammy, but in the end she still respected Jane's decision.

Only Sammy was unhappy.

Jane pulled his little arm to bring him to her side, holding him to comfort him: "Mommy knows you four have a good relationship. Being separated now is unavoidable, but you're all still young. There will be plenty of chances to be together in the future. This time we'll just have to skip it, okay?"

The little guy nodded with his head hanging down, looking disappointed.

Jane wanted to comfort him more, but suddenly the little guy looked up again, staring at her hopefully: "Mommy, did you talk to Daddy about the design exhibition tickets? Did Daddy agree?"

The topic jumped so fast that Jane was stunned for a moment.

Without asking, Sammy already knew the answer - definitely not.

"Mommy, did you have a fight with Mr. Smith?" Sammy carefully observed her reaction. "Or did Mr. Smith make you angry again?"

Jane: "..."

Were kids nowadays all this mature and perceptive?

But the Smith siblings looked up at her with identical hopeful expressions.

In the video, there were two more with equally curious looks.

Jane couldn't avoid it and had to admit: "Yes, he and I did have some... unpleasantness..."

As she spoke, she thought of that kiss in the parking lot today.

She couldn't tell the four kids that the man had forced a kiss on her again, could she?

Fortunately, the four little ones didn't seem to want to ask more.

Jack's little face had already turned cold as ice. He didn't expect Mr. Smith to make Mommy angry again. He needed to think of a way to help Mommy get back at him.

Sammy was also very angry. "What's wrong with Mr. Smith anyway? He's a man, how can he be so petty and keep making Mommy angry? Jill, don't hold back, teach him a lesson!"

"Okay! No dinner for him today!" Jill agreed readily. "And I'll add some special ingredients too."

Her special ingredients were pretty strong.

Only Sophie, thinking of how pitiful Daddy would be, felt a bit sorry for him and wanted to speak up for Daddy, but couldn't find the words.

After thinking, she took out her little notebook and wrote on the paper: "Mommy, Daddy definitely didn't mean it. I apologize for him. Please don't be angry anymore."

Seeing her daughter's careful manner, Jane's heart softened.

Actually, today in the parking lot when John caught up to explain to her, she wasn't that angry anymore. The only thing that bothered her was that the man kept forcing kisses on her again and again.

Afterwards, she did feel a bit regretful. She was supposed to be getting close to him for the kids' sake, but she couldn't control herself and lost her temper at him.

Now seeing the three little ones ready to avenge her, the little bit of anger she had left disappeared. She hugged her daughter and kissed her, agreeing: "Okay, Mommy promises Sophie not to be angry with him anymore."

Then she looked at the two little ones in the video: "You two don't do anything crazy either, okay?"

"Got it, Mommy." Jill answered.

Sammy rolled his clever, mischievous big eyes and asked Jane: "So Mommy, did you agree to ask Mr. Smith to go to the design exhibition?"

"Pushing your luck, aren't you?" Jane tapped his little head.

"So will you agree, Mommy?" The little guy looked at her with longing.

Jane couldn't bear to disappoint her son again.

Besides, it wasn't going to work if she and John kept being so tense with each other. They needed to ease things up.

So she nodded: "Okay, I'll ask him."

"Yay!"

Sammy excitedly high-fived his sister.

Jane fell into worry. She had to take the initiative to ask John out?

How did this end up looking like she was chasing after him?

Besides, that man was still angry. How was she supposed to ask him?
